Interesting view, but why exactly is Narcissa the most gray character in HP? Perhaps because she's arrogant, rasistic and a supporter of the death eaters. On the other hand she never seemed happy to me, being married with Lucius and, of course lied to Voldemort because she worried about Draco and Harry told her that Draco was still alive.
Timkjgg Xyz Perhaps the “most” gray wasn’t the best way to describe it, but I think she’s just as gray as Snape. Basically she sided with Voldemort and the Death Eaters purely out of love for her family. In other words she made bad decisions but with good intentions (for her family at least). But you know she definitely wasn’t ALL bad because of the fact that she never was herself a Death Eater and always distances herself slightly from the other bad guys.
Thank you so much for featuring Sisters of House Black in this video so much! Even after making the film, these sisters fascinate me so much! You really touched the points I found interesting and why I wanted to make the film! Some other things I really liked were the fact there were three black birds on the black family symbol and three sisters! And I love that most of the black family were named after stars. Bellatrix, meaning female warrior, which fitted her perfectly! ✨
Bellatrix:The Death Eater Andromeda:The Blood Traitor Narcissa:The Devoted Mother They may be different but they each fought for what they loved and desired.
I think Bellatrix was killed by her arrogance. Andromeda I think had a tragic romance, but was a proud grandmother who did the best she could to raise Teddy with the Potter family. Narcissia had the happy ending.
I believe Andromeda had a happy life. Yes both her husband and daughter died but she had them for a while. And then she took care of her grandson like Mrs Longbottom did for Neville. I also believe Narcissa was very torn and it only showed in the last year of Voldemort’s reign. It was like She was wearing a disguise most of her adult life.
@@amanekabbaj i see Andromada as taking care of her grandson just like the grandmother of neville longbottom, she subconsciensly showed her remorse of what bellatrix did to the longbottom, she reddeamed her sisters act.
I love how everything is so complex and so connected actually, like the fact that Sirius is family with the 3 sisters, and also to Nymphadora is just unbelievable for people who only saw movies. It's crazy to even think that there is a family relation between Draco and Sirius, Draco and Nymphadora etc. Just wow.
I think Bellatrix was mental to start with and Azkaban made her worse. Her insanity was probably because of the implied incest in some of the pureblood supremacist families like the Blacks. Just like I think part of Voldemort's madness and evil is because of the Gaunt genes in him since Marvolo hated Muggles to the point where he thought Tom Riddle Sr had it coming when Morfin gave him hives, he compensated for being poor by taking pride in being one of Salazar Slytherin's last descendants and he and Morfin attacked Bob Ogden after Marvolo tried to kill Merope after Morfin told him that Merope had been stalking and spying on Riddle Sr. That got Marvolo and Morfin arrested. And Morfin was a total psycho who not only put spells on innocent Muggles but would nail snakes to the door of the Gaunt house if they didn't do as he told them when he talked to them in Parseltongue. Dumbledore told Harry that the insanity in the Gaunt family was caused by them marrying their cousins.
I love to think that Narcissa is good, however after seeing what happened to Sirius and Andromeda for going against the Black family values, she feared going against her families beliefs. You see Narcissa's love and kindness when she saved Harry and when she worried so much for her only son. I like the idea that she really loved Lucius, but not because he was pure blood, because he was protective and returned her feelings. I do honestly believe Narcissa wanted to be good and she managed to play her cards well and earn a happy snding
The sisters kinda represent the pevrells(well only one sister died). Bellatrix died for the rise of her master(power) narcissa did everything to protect draco in half blood prince and still loved her husband despite everything (love) and andromeda reached old age with her grandson well also telling him about the bravery of his parents( just like the third brother and his son.and the passing knowledge of remus and tonks serving as the passing of the cloak

All 3 sisters were played well in the context of this fan fiction but helena Bonham Carter herself would have been proud of the portrayal of bella. Seeing her turn from loving sister to crazy death eater she got everything right especially that voice.
I love the Black sisters, I wish we could learn more about their background especially Andromeda's as she is my favorite! Anyway I loved your point of view of how each sister took a different path: one chose evil, one chose neutral and one chose good. They are not what we could call a power of three but they represented the three aspects of morality 💪🏻
I'd like to think that after the war ended, Andromeda and Narcissa reunited. Andromeda, having lost her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, now has to raise baby Teddy all on her own. Narcissa offers an olive branch to help Andromeda raise Teddy and give whatever support she can as atonement. Seeing them become sisters again after so many years would be nice.
Sadly, according to some sources, Narcissa and Lucius maintained their extremist beliefs. But Draco and Astoria refused to believe such a thing anymore. Scorpius and Teddy lupin are cousins. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a type of relationship.
Tracy Smith I don’t think so even after the war Narcissa held onto her pure blood beliefs that’s why she and Lucius did not like Astoria Draco’s wife since she was teaching Scorpius to be more tolerant of Muggleborns muggles and halfblood
The world isn’t split into good and evil We all have both light and dark inside us what matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.
Katheryne Koelker It’s hard to say. On the one hand, Narcissa is said to have still retained her blood-purity views to at least some degree; more specifically, she and Lucius were both disappointed in the more accepting views of Draco’s chosen wife (Astoria Greengrass), and Astoria in turn limited their contact with Scorpius as much as possible because she didn’t want him to pick up on said blood-purity views. But on the other hand, considering that Narcissa comes from a family that would typically have disowned any one of its members for marrying such a “blood traitor”, the fact that neither she nor Lucius ever disowned Draco++ in spite of all that speaks volumes about how much Narcissa values family (especially with respect to Draco). That said, I could personally see Narcissa MAYBE trying to reconnect with Andromeda with enough convincing from both Astoria and Draco (especially the latter), but whether or not they would ever actually make amends is debatable. _++In fact, the only mention of them ever actually fighting over this was on one occasion when Draco was willing to let the Malfoy line end with him rather than risk Astoria’s frail health by having children with her. How Narcissa reacted is never mentioned, but Lucius objected, though by all accounts the resulting argument didn’t last long, because it was ultimately Astoria herself who insisted on having children (so that Draco wouldn’t be alone when she passed away) and eventually produced a Malfoy heir after all (Scorpius)._ *(Note that most of this comes from the Cursed Child, so feel free to make of it what you will.)*
I believe maybe she did, because she didn’t really want to make Bellatrix mad if trying to apologize to Andromenda. So I think yes but also no so idrk. Okay have a good day!!
Dobby describes the Malfoys as dark wizards coz they practiced the dark arts. Narcissisa is morally ambiguous as her family both maiden and marital dabbled, so did she but she loved her family.
“And that takes Bellatrix in one direction.” Me: “Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed and when you smile at the ground, well, it’s hard to tell. You don’t knooooow, you don’t know you’re beautiful, oh oh, thats what makes you beautiful!”
What is most interesting to me is the meaning of each of the sisters names and how it exactly fits their personality. Bellatrix (Latin for warrior and also fitting the black tradition; name of a star in the orion) Narcissa (The Greek word for someone obsessed with them selves. Add iny opinion, it extended to her kin, Draco and lucius) and Andromeda ( meaning being mindful of a man and also of Greek origin). All 3 sisters lived up to their names. J.k. Rowling literally thought of everything. I appreciate the thought and effort that went into each characters' names and their meanings.
I really enjoy finding all the fanfiction movies and all the time effort and cost that goes into making them, I have watched the Black Sisters twice mand many of the others more then once. They help fill in some of the gaps. Thanks for your continued dedication to this channel.

I’m not usually a big fan of fan made movies but this one (& I saw a couple more), they are SO good!!!! They actually really felt canon prequels. My ONLY “complaint” is I wish it was longer lol 😂. But that’s a good thing bc it made me want more!!! It was THAT good.
I was the same way! At first I was like, ehh I'll give it a try...but quickly fell in love with the film! Gifted actors and actresses! I'm so glad they made this, except it SHOULD be longer! Lol cheers mate!
This is a good video showing the three different paths that the Black sisters took. Where Bellatrix was the loyal Death Eater who was in love with Lord Voldemort, Narcissa believed in pure blood supremacy but didn't officially join the Death Eaters though her husband did and Andromedea who went against her family to marry the man that she loved. Bellatrix died the way that she would have wanted to, while fighting for Lord Voldemort. Narcissa was able to keep her family safe and out of Azkaban. Andromedea lost both her husband and daughter in the war but she raised her grandson Teddy on her own with help from Harry Potter who was the male role model in Teddy's life.
I totally agree with u on this and I love broad strokes productions and I just saw the black sisters fan film witch was really good to love those tipe of things
I like how the last shot of narcissa was her walking away with Draco not even turning to see if Lucius was following or not. It said so much in just that one scene!! Lucius trying to catch up like a toddler who realized his parents got to far away from them. 😅
I have a feeling that Bellatrix also crave power as well as success. I mean she was basically Voldemort’s second and enjoyed being in power. Also Andromeda didn’t loose everything she loves; she had a grandson, whom she did love very much & helped raise (with Harry’s help) him when his parents died fighting. ;)
I Have to admit I was a hater I think a year or 2 ago for dumb reasons I guess. But your content is either much improved or has always been top notch. Thank you for your hard work and thank you for your great work! Def a sub now!!!!!!!!!
Just as you said, an AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING fan film!!! It was on par with the actual series!! They did an INCREDIBLE JOB!!! From costumes, to dialogue, to props, to make-up and Hair, to direction, to producing,,,, it is my favorite fan fan film! And dives into the Black Sisters, and their relationships they shared both with each other, and separate. Andromeda chose to love the wizard she fell for, and thus their daughter. For Narcissa, she chose the very same thing, the only two differences were A. She fell in love with a pure blood, and B. They had a son, not a daughter, and when you think about it, Bellatrix too, chose the man she fell for. She just fell for the most deranged wizard of all time and if you count The Cursed Child, then she too had a child with said (psychotic ) wizard. So far apart the sisters lives went, yet so very close......
Thank you dearest Dean for another amazing masterpiece. This video was very interesting. I learned so much more about the black sisters that I didn't know. Sending lots of 💋❤ and 🤗😍.
Dolohov is a Russian name isn't it? I think he was at.Durmstrang and that his family supported Grindelwald. How many if Grindelwald's minions later became Death Eaters?
I wonder if after the 2nd world war Narcissa made peace with Andromeda. That would be really nice. I mean I think Narcissa was really upset when Andromeda was disowned.
I think Sisters of House Black was one of the better fanfilms out there, and while it's not canon, I do believe most of it. Great video as always! EDIT: Also, I agree that pure-bloods weren't more powerful than half-bloods and muggle-borns. In fact, I believe the opposite was true. Voldemort's power flourished once his pure-blood mother mated with a muggle. Same with Severus Snape. Same with Harry's pure-blood father mating with a muggle-born. Same with Delphini as a result of Bellatrix (who was already extremely powerful) mating with a half-blood. Probably even same with the Dumbledore siblings, as while we don't know whether Percival was a pure- or half-blood, the Dumbledores may well have been pure-blood up until that point (it was pre-Sacred Twenty-Eight). Like mating amongst yourselves weakens you, but once you break that pattern, latent powers resurface in your children thanks to their more mixed heritage.
I feel like Andromeda didn’t deserve what happened to her after the book. I mean she lost so much! She lost her husband, sister, daughter, and son-in-law!
What i love about Each sister Bellatrix - insainly loyal to the dark lord (i admire her insanity too) Narcissa - She has no side and just goes along where the people she loves needs to be and will do anything to protect Draco Andromeda - She loved Ted and she married him and didn't care even if she had to leave her beloveded sisters
whats interesting is that all three sisters prioritised love , particularly family love. bellatrix loved her family , and took that to mean she must do everything to preserve and promote the family name. As she got older, this metasticised into loving wizardkind/her people (you cant hate the 'other' if you do not love your own) and the values her family espoused , and hating everyone else. andromeda loved her family on a personal level -as people, rather than as a 'name' , but as she got older that metasticised into loving the family she had created/could create with tonks. Narcissa loved her family AND the ideals they espoused , marrying a man she both loved as a person and who fit into their beliefs. As she got older , this metasticsed into loving her family above all else , resulting in her both hiding bellatrix from the ministry and betraying voldemort after he started harming her son and husband. At no point did she ever not believe in her families ideals, she just prioritised love for her family as people above her love for the cause. they are literally perfect mixes of every possible position. Andromeda chose love for her family OVER love of her ideals , bellatrix chose the cause over her family , and narcissa chose both.
I always figured that even though Andromeda lost her husband and daughter, she was at least left with her grandson, Teddy Lupin, to raise and be a comfort to her.
Everyone talks about how Snape is the most “gray” character in that he’s not good or bad, but I think truly the most “gray” character is Narcissa.
Oh god
Interesting view, but why exactly is Narcissa the most gray character in HP?
Perhaps because she's arrogant, rasistic and a supporter of the death eaters.
On the other hand she never seemed happy to me, being married with Lucius and, of course lied to Voldemort because she worried about Draco and Harry told her that Draco was still alive.

Narcissa is still a pureblood supremacist, she just doesn't go out of her way to hunt down muggleborns and kill them.
With all due respect.. How is Narcissa middle ground? She still supported Voldemort and his beliefs.
I’m not usually a big fan of fan made movies but this one (& I saw a couple more), they are SO good!!!! They actually really felt canon prequels. My ONLY “complaint” is I wish it was longer lol 😂. But that’s a good thing bc it made me want more!!! It was THAT good.
What's this movie called.
@Andy P Thank you
@Andy P RUclips informs me when I am needed.
I was the same way! At first I was like, ehh I'll give it a try...but quickly fell in love with the film! Gifted actors and actresses! I'm so glad they made this, except it SHOULD be longer! Lol cheers mate!
Awesome! I love the deep dive into such complex characters!
Im so early Hogwarts isn’t even established yet
I loved that you used the clip from the fanmade movie "Sisters of Black". It's a really good movie
That was my favorite video of yours so far!! Well done!
Extremely well presented. Good video, thanks.
YES THANK YOU FOR BRINGING ATTENTION TO HER FILM IT IS BEAUTIFUL!! 😭😭💖💖
When you watch with subs on "butter beer" turns into "Buddha bear"
I totally agree with u on this and I love broad strokes productions and I just saw the black sisters fan film witch was really good to love those tipe of things
Thanks for making this pandemic more bearable with your awesome videos. =]
I like how the last shot of narcissa was her walking away with Draco not even turning to see if Lucius was following or not. It said so much in just that one scene!! Lucius trying to catch up like a toddler who realized his parents got to far away from them. 😅
Great explanation Dean!!
The prequel i want is of Severus Snape. But that will never happen
Very well put together video...... Rightfully pointed out their charachter traits and paths
I love them and wish their relationships were more explored. I think you’ve inspired me to make them in the sims!
Thank you dearest Dean for another amazing masterpiece. This video was very interesting. I learned so much more about the black sisters that I didn't know. Sending lots of 💋❤ and 🤗😍.
This is my first time to know that they had another sister Andromeda
great video man, keep it up
I love your channel!!!
Narcissa is so underrated.
I love the Sisters House of Black. I've seen it multiple times!
I always thought that narcissa was the most lucky out of the sisters because she truly loved lucius one of the few people her family accepted
I think we should get more info on some of the more obscure Death Eaters, ESPECIALLY Dolohov.
I think that Vernon and petunia are like the muggle malfoys
I just watch the film for nth time last night then here it is. So proud 💓
As usual I feel you're spot on with your analysis.👍
What i love about Each sister
Bellatrix - insainly loyal to the dark lord (i admire her insanity too)
Narcissa - She has no side and just goes along where the people she loves needs to be and will do anything to protect Draco
Andromeda - She loved Ted and she married him and didn't care even if she had to leave her beloveded sisters
This was an interesting analysis of the Black sisters, and it makes me feel like I should watch that Sisters of House Black fan film for extra fun.
I'd like a movie about them.
whats interesting is that all three sisters prioritised love , particularly family love.
bellatrix loved her family , and took that to mean she must do everything to preserve and promote the family name.
I’m so addicted to this channel.
I didn't know anything about the fan film. Thanks for cluing me in.
I love Sisters of House Black
I love that fan movie.... It shows what really happened to them...
Can you please make a video on knockturn alley and those vampire like wizards.
Andromeda got it right imo she stayed true to herself and her family. Blood of the covenant is thicker than the waters of the womb.
I got here before my notification
skilz 😎
I’m confused 😐 🤷♀️ 😋
When he mentioned broad strokes :
Me: omg I love broad strokes and my favorite films are "the greater good" and "Severus Snape and the Marauders".
Don't forget The Great Wizarding war. It's got some nine of twelve episodes finished. It introduces a new player Luthor Frumentar.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend Sisters of House Black. An incredibly well-made fan film that you should be able to find here on youtube.
The movie is fantastic..... I would love a review.... did you see neville longbotton and the black witch?
After the second wizarding war Andromeda had only Edward Lupin left.
Omg that film is one of my favorites! Woohoo!
This is wonderful.
Can you make a playlist of all the best and worth watching HP fan movies/shorts? Please. Post on twitter and will see it.
There is more movies like this?
I watched this fanmade film and it was brilliant.
I always figured that even though Andromeda lost her husband and daughter, she was at least left with her grandson, Teddy Lupin, to raise and be a comfort to her.
Yes thank you
