Thank You very much. You have literally saved our vacation. We wanted to start this morning and the car didn't work. The problem was with the same fuse as in Your video. I am very grateful.
thankyou so much!!! my car was a ford fiesta mk6 ztec s my car was jump started wrong and this fuse was blown! because it was jump started wrong it said that the engine was overheating whilst then engine was stone cold. i didnt use a code reader because i didnt have one but as soon as changed the fuse and replaced the battery with a fully charged the car ran fine with no engine overheating message. thankyou so much saved me so much money!!!
My Ford Fusion 1.4 Tdci has same problem. First it was intermittent, now it flashes permanently. I have changed all fuses and the battery is fine, as i have had it off and charged fully on Noco charger. My dashboard gauges all still work. Both keys not starting it now. I have worked hard to get this car road worthy but fear i may have to scrap it now. 😢
@LMAutoRepairs . Car is running now. From what I can gather a weak 12V battery caused the keys to loose connection with the car?? I took it off, charged it and reprogrammed both keys. I'm not sure it makes sense really but have a new 12V battery on order. Also changed a lot of fuses that looked in tact but were a little rusty.
I've learned something because I thought that some cars lock you out of obd diagnostics when immobilizer is active to prevent theft via the obd port, Thanks for that! I think lots of those codes stored in the ecu could have been where the owner started unplugging things to try and find why it is not start
I had this problem today with my mk6 2008 face lift fiesta car would not start had a message come up saying engine malfunction if I remember I think the mobilizer light was flashing so left it for 5mins then car started
Sir I have same issue with my ford figo but immobilizer blinks for only 5mins after that by turning off the key and starting the car then there's no issue with the immobilizer and it starts smoothly. When I scan it is showing immobilizer module - pcm communication error and key was unprogrammed for the module at certain time. This issue is not frequently repeating. I reprogrammed the key,but the problem still exist..
@@LMAutoRepairs- right. It always worries me when i get a blown fuse(rarely) and can't trace the fault. If it blows again after replacement one knows there's a hard fault; if not one is always on edge haha so it's good to hear others have any kind of answer....thanks

Hi, bit of a long shot, i have a 2006 ford fiesta 14 tdci, the problem is when u hit hazard switch, the outside lights flash, but there is no click sound or green dash indicator arrows working, same thing when indicating left or right, lights working and flashing out the car no click sound from the dash and no green arrow light either side on the dash, any clues please really appciated . Got my daughter's car going after Green Flag siad they couldn't find out what was wrong and left her stranded. All thanks to your great video! Is there any way to do a one off donation?
Hi mate, just a quick question. You jumped out of the car to remove cables in order not to cause damage. I wonder why? I usually leave them running, especially if they are dead flat to protect alternator(although I never leave donor vehicle running)
despot032 Hi Because the donnor vehicle was running... I usually also do what you are saying, as soon as the car is running I turn on the donnor car... In this case was really no point... this car had the beare minimal electrics... so would not pull that much from the alternator anyway... What I never to though, is leaving both cars running while jumped... I just don't like it... lol Well spotted and good question... Thank you for watching!
I have a similar problem with my 2003 1.4 zetec, the lights are similar but I get intermittent starting, it takes a few attempts to start the engine when the engine is warm only, any ideas? Thanks
Same here with mine. I have checked the fuses(using a multimeter) and all seem fine, except for the cigarette lighter fuse but I don't think that it is related. The immobilizer light flashes just like in the video an the car does not attempt to start the engine. The problem started after I got my ECU back from repair and changed the battery. Would be interested in hearing about the solution to your problem.
Hello, I watch your video at least twice and i have some questions, if u can answer to me i will be really grateful. I have this model of fiesta, and Sunday suddenly stopped working. The immobilizer is blinking for apparently no reason. I mention that i use this care every day from some years and had no problem with immobilizer or his blinking led. I try to check all the fuses and i don't know how to check their tension with the multimeter, I know only how to check their continuity. Where to place the rotating scale (i put mine to 20V) and where to place the minus pencil when i put + pencil on metal dots from the fuse. Can u help me please with a link or something that can explain to me how to check the relay ? I mention that i do not have a laptop or a jack to connect them with the car. There is any way that i can skip this immobilizer ? Thank you in advance.
oarecare robert Hi A lot of questions you have.... Ok, checking the fuses by checking their resistance is also an accurate way of doing it... no problem there... To check them by check voltage, place the black probe on the ground, chassis etc... Providing that that circuit is live, you should have close to battery voltage on both sides of the fuse... To check a relay, Google it, you will find very good explanations on how to check them... I have been planning to make one... but time has not been helping...
Thank you very much for your quick answer. I checked all the fuses, they are fine, but for being sure i change them also. I will try to find a way to check the relay but i think the problem is deeper then that. The real problem for me is that i can't find anybody to help me, no service no nothing, none of them have the tester for Fiesta, they all have Audi, BMW and Mercedes. That is the reason because i try to fix this by myself. Thanks
Jonathan Dean Hi Not really... one of the codes during the KOEO test was alternator voltage too high... after ending the video I have done a few checks to the car voltage, harnesses etc... Couldn't find any problems... Perhaps a glitch somewhere... or something while someone was working on the car...
