FYI @JomboyMedia The strike zone in LL is bigger, does not need to be over the plate. The strike zone is one from the armpits to the knees, and the size of baseball to either side of the plate (pretty much anything between the two batter boxes).
Wow..I’ve never seen a kid that’ll need Tommy-John at 14.. but seriously, thank God it’s not devastating like it used to be. He’s already an absolute pleasure to watch.. 🇺🇸❤️🇹🇼
I remember when I was on my local Williamsport team. We had some good players. Our "top guy" was already over 6 feet tall and easily threw 70+. He would crush home runs 300+ feet with ease. There was actually a fairly busy road about 75 feet away from the left field fence. He hit a few balls into that street. Needless to say, he was the "talk of the team." When tournament time came, we blew away the first two teams we played. Then, we came up against this pitcher who looked very unassuming. That was until I saw him warming up. I knew he was going to be a problem. He was a lefty, which was rare. He threw hard, probably 65-70 and had a really nasty curve. He struck out our first two batters. I batted third. I'm a lefty as well (although I throw right-handed), but never had any problem hitting against lefties. Not to brag because we're talking about facing 12-year-old kids here (although I was the youngest kid on the team), but I think my batting average that season was .4xx something. I just did my best to emulate Ken Griffey Jr., my favorite player with the best swing of all-time, and it worked. Anyway, in my first at-bat, I got jammed on a fastball, but managed to bloop a single. The kid struck out the big guy I was talking about after that. My second time around, the kid hung a curve, and I destroyed it. That was the only run we managed all game. My third and last time up, he nailed me with a fastball. We lost 7-1 I believe, and I managed two of the three hits we had. After the game, the pitcher came up and apologized for hitting me. He also said I was the only lefty who managed to hit a home run off him the last two seasons. Because I was 11 that season, I was eligible to be on the Williamsport team again the next season. I turned it down and chose to play on the lesser "tournament team" as it was called. I just wasn't into the 3+ hour practices of the Williamsport team, combined with the inflated egos of the kids on the team, plus some of the annoying parents. Definitely had more fun that time around.
Please notice the progression of the jomboy inset with the advancement of the video… brilliant! Also, imagine which of these kids will be in the Mlb in 10-15 years..

Yeah that kid is lights out, but Taiwan has a history of playing older players, and that young man looks a little older, just saying. Some great plays and as always, great analysis. Cheers
I couldn't stand the pitchers who abused the younger umpires inability to lay off calling the outside pitch. You HAVE to step as close to the plate as humanly possible, and stay close to the pitcher. It might seem counter intuitive but I drew SO many walks that way when I was younger.
I feel like if you're standing close to the plate, you're less likely to get that inside pitch called on you since psychologically it's like "that ball almost hit them, I can't call that a strike" when it was in fact right on the inside corner. Maybe I'm wrong though

Yeah hes not 12, 0 fuckin chance
ya he's definitely not 12
just because its an asian kid doesnt mean they cant be big
@@ccliviolin not sure why you are making this about race, the kid looks 17. Idk what to tell you.
@@joeydevito2772 there are kids with similar builds in the american pool but i dont see anyone talking about them?
6:33 Nasty pitch
He’s gonna blow his arm out by highschool by throwin so many curves and sliders already..
He is in High School!😂
Would love more LLWS coverage Jomboy, so fantastic.
Love the Phillys there in jersey cheering em on…so cool
Did they all play in the LL WSa?
FYI @JomboyMedia The strike zone in LL is bigger, does not need to be over the plate. The strike zone is one from the armpits to the knees, and the size of baseball to either side of the plate (pretty much anything between the two batter boxes).
Yeah... that kid's 12 just like Danny Almonte was.
Love these breakdown/highlights of multiple games.
That dude has his own kids in the stands 😂
Mexico lefty delivery at 9:22 was Julio Urias
9:18
Me, 25 years old, still actively doing bunny ears every day. Thanks Jomboy
You're around the same age as this "12" year old pitcher, then
Incredible talent and poise on a large stage. That young pitcher is gonna be phenomenal one day in college and hopefully the big leagues.
You can practically see the moustache stubble on that pitcher 😂
And in the right sun angle, you can see beard shadow. Not buying it, but then, nobody is asking me.
GREAT video! This is just kids baseball fun at it’s finest! Well done Jomboy!
Can anyone say Danny Almonte? I knew you could.
Wow..I’ve never seen a kid that’ll need Tommy-John at 14.. but seriously, thank God it’s not devastating like it used to be. He’s already an absolute pleasure to watch.. 🇺🇸❤️🇹🇼
They need to check that kids ID I don't believe he's 12 lol
No effin way he’s 12! He’s got tree stumps as legs! 🤦🏻♂️😳 They have a a deep history of playing older players!
ID , you mean his marriage certificate
That kid is not 12. No way!
Please notice the progression of the jomboy inset with the advancement of the video… brilliant! Also, imagine which of these kids will be in the Mlb in 10-15 years..
The Philippines (AP) grils Junior League team has a great pitcher. Number 24 Erica Arnaiz struck-out 85 in the entire tournament. I hope you have time to take a look at her too. Thank you Jomboy!
Framing that pitch 3 feet off the plate is hilarious 😂😂
170 lbs? “I am 12”
not really his actual weight but the definition he carries in his lower and upper body ,, and of course his face looks like a 14yr - 15yr too
3:34 that’s how a little league strike shown is and should be. Make kids swing the bat, you can tighten it up after high school
That’s a 16-year-old 12-year-old.
Can't wait for the ESPN 30 for30 on this kid called "I Am 12".
Really hard to believe he's 12 given his size and skill level. Swear he's around 16.
Something about his real age may come out in a year or two. That's usually the way it happens.
You kidding? I thought that dude was 35 😂
I just don't see how a kid that young can build that kind of leg muscle. Is he just a freak who finished puberty at 10 or something?
They’ve had a history of cheating
Biggest cheaters in little league history... yeah he's like 19 or something... shame because they will probably win it all...then get striped a year or two later but honestly they are robbing them kids whoever makes it to the championship
Pennsylvania's pitcher was silky smooth with that pendulum step
Why is this adult throwing sliders ?
So cool for you to do this video. I really enjoyed watching these crumb snatchers play some great ball!! :)
I’m sorry but I can’t help but think of Benchwarmers:
I am 12 😂
8:40 the way bro rewinds and analyzes guy's leg is respectable attention to detail
Most cold-blooded inning ending I've seen from a pitcher hahaha. "bored."
definitely do another one. Great to see
Check that kid's birth certificate
This might be my fav breakdown ever.
The kid from Taiwan is not 12, let's just be honest here.
He is 12
@@piggyo22I don’t believe it
Can NEVER fail with LLWS coverage. ALL IN. ALL WINS.
Yeah that kid is lights out, but Taiwan has a history of playing older players, and that young man looks a little older, just saying. Some great plays and as always, great analysis. Cheers
He just looks older, but he is indeed 12 years old
@@Joy-ic4bpall 17yo look 12 when you fake a birth certificate. i wonder how he got time of from work to pitch in the LLWS
I love that schwarber and Harper were at the LLWS for Pennsylvania
I couldn't stand the pitchers who abused the younger umpires inability to lay off calling the outside pitch. You HAVE to step as close to the plate as humanly possible, and stay close to the pitcher. It might seem counter intuitive but I drew SO many walks that way when I was younger.
I feel like if you're standing close to the plate, you're less likely to get that inside pitch called on you since psychologically it's like "that ball almost hit them, I can't call that a strike" when it was in fact right on the inside corner. Maybe I'm wrong though
These kids are so much cooler then I or any of us will ever or have ever been
Parents' bottomless pockets, lots of money and opportunities will do that for you.
I'm an old head and can remember back in the day when Taipei would dominate because they loaded their roster with high schoolers. That Asia Pacific kid reminds me...
Logic says they cheated during those days. A country doesnt go from winning every title to all of a sudden not winning any for decades. It's definitely a scar on LLWS history that Taiwan still officially holds so many titles.
Pretty unfair to have those pitches at 12. It would be. If he were really 12. 😂
That pitcher is better than a lot of the 14u and 16u pitchers I've been an umpire for.
His actual 12 year old little brother is probably hiding somewhere back home in Taiwan. This kid is a Ringer if I've ever seen one.
@@JohnSmith-ti9uqI have been saying this since the start of the Tournament. He has better gas and sliders than a lot of hs pitchers. 12 my ass
@@kerrisheets6145 Reminds me of that movie the Benchwarmers where they recruit that man to play on the team by giving him a note written in crayon saying he is 12.
@@kerrisheets6145so have I. You can hear his wife n kids in the crowd cheering for him. He drives the team bus cause he’s the only one with his CDLs.
TAIWAN small OTHANI great master pitcher and power
That dudes almost 20 I’d bet
