- Hawaii put on an impressive performance in the 2022 Little League World Series. This video highlights their games in both regionals and the LLWS in Williamsport.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!
I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Hawaii was amazing, definitely one of the best team ever. And what’s so crazy is that Southwest, Southeast, Curacao, Mexico, Chinese Taipei, and Latin America was powerful teams, and could’ve win, but Hawaii was just to awesome from the jump SMH
Curacao vs. Hawaii. Curacao pitchers hit Hawaii hitters about 20 times. No way they could've won.
You mean Taiwan
Hawaii had a really good catcher, caught an excellent series. Their pitchers were very fortunate.
That was my thought as well. He held it down back there.
True and it helps that HI had four legit home run hitters with one pure hitter who Oda skillfully placed in the batting order, 3 players who were legit SS, 4 pure fielders, all bench players were productive at the plate and on the field but, they had 2 aces and three pitchers as backup... Sniffen, Heromoto, and a guy we didn't see Watson, would be aces on any team. The thing was this team was deep. WE is greater than ME was about containing ego..... Needed for a team this deep.
It was insane! It felt like they didn’t even have competition
Honestly they didn't. They mercy ruled the second place team in the world.
@@slisel033190 there were better teams than curaçao
@@trxv. Yea there were, but they lost so the best played in the final. That's how it goes.
Any international team that played would have gotten stomped. The best team showed up and got mercy ruled yikes.
@@keithfreitas2983 yeah kinda wished they played chinese taipei because they were definitely the best international team in the tournament but curaçao upset them
Hawaii seems to have peaked at the right time. They just got better and better. Looking back to the Hawaii State Tournament, they outscored their opponents 40-9 in 4 games. That means their local opponents outscored their LLWS opponents in fewer games!
My son was on a different team at the state tournament. Honolulu's toughest tournament of the summer was the state tournament. Honolulu only faced one of the opponents ace pitchers and Honolulu was down 2-4 when that Ace had to be pulled. The teams all came to beat Honolulu. No one was afraid. The field at the state tournament was 190 to center, and had it been 225 like it was at the world series, the games would have been even closer. Arguably the best pitcher in the state was Kai Watanabe of Maui. It's just too bad he had to pitch against us the day before the Honolulu game. Of the 4 games, two were 10 run ruled, the first game, but the opposing team just pitched everyone 20 pitches after the ace yielded. The Championship game was like Curacao, the opponent did not have pitchers after going through the losers bracket. Games 2 and 3 were closer than score 6-2 and 7-3. If those two teams had their aces, it would have been closer. Game 2, Honolulu had Lancaster and game 3 was Sakamoto.
@@julianromero4120 this is what I was thinking! I was wondering how much talent from Hawaii was excluded when this team won. 6-8 years from now there may be a lot of collegiate talent coming from Hawaii
@@julianromero4120 There's amazing talent all over Hawaii!
ALOHA from Hawaii Wheels! Thank you for all of your LLWS highlights. Keep up the great work!! 🤙🏻
Everyone that's shitting on these kids saying they cheated in one way or another shame on you
WELCOME HOME! So proud of our Hawaii boys!! They dominated this entire LLWS season. 🙌💪❤️🤙
Hawaii was like a High School vs LL... dominated!! Congrats boys, Hawaii is proud!!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙💯💯💯💯
This team has been very fun to watch young hawaiian men at their best…
Every position, pitching and hitting was remarkable!!!
Thank you coaches, parents, financial supporters and players…
I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED!!!
God bless you all, safe return home and I look forward to seeing a couple of you in the big leagues!!!
Jaryn Lancaster is a beast 💪🏽🤙🏽🙏💯✝️
For those who are commenting about Japan or the team from 2009, can you guys post scores from those teams throughout their regionals and LLWS? I believe that Hawaii in the LLWS outscored their opponents 60 - 5. The 3 regionals they scored 25 - 6. So combined they scored 85 - 11. Remember, some of these games were mercy rule finishes so they didn't even play the full 6 innings.
As for me this is one of the most dominant teams as I don't recall any other team outscoring the other teams like this. Some previous teams had a few players who were good, this team was deeper in both pitching and hitting. 7 of this team hit homeruns in the LLWS. It wasn't based just upon one or two good players, everyone contributed.
The 1973 Taiwan team outscored their opponents 57-0 with three straight no hitters. Of course they were cheating.. but that's a hard record to beat.
Its junior league
Everyone contributed
The only team since I've been watching(early 90s) that I think maybe could take 1 or 2 games in a 7 game series would be the 2019 Louisianna or the 2006 Georgia team.. Both had exceptional pitching, dominant players & fundamentally sound.
Neither team blew out ppl like Hawaii tho, by sum margin the most dominant/best overall team I've ever seen. Ones mentioned above could maybe take a game or 2 but weren't as dominant.
These teams also were dramatically worse. Hawaii only good team in this tournament. I love my Tennessee boys but they were no competition
Wow...mahalo for this Wheels. Didn’t get to see any of the regional games, so getting these highlights is brilliant.
This whole LLb ⚾ was amazing these kids are all champions. Congratulations to Hawaii 👏
Hawaii this year had the greatest LL team in history! They ran up the score against everybody!
they ran up the score because there were no good teams like usual besides hawaii being the only one
@@trxv. is this not the world series ??? Doesn't that mean the teams are the best of the best??? Maybe hawaii was just that much better then everyone else...
One of the best but IMO its hard to say they are THE best. The field of teams this year was the weakest Ive ever seen it. Im going to assume Covid hurt the quality of play. The pitching and hitting was below average. The defense was great tho.
No they just dominated everybody
I watched the other video about Chula Vista yesterday before this video came out and was going to ask the same question? In any case, definitely one of the best if not the best. Congrats!
There were some GREAT teams this year and Hawaii stomped all of them
Hawaii's hitting is obvious, but they also had an amazing roster of pitchers.
I pitched in my Little League days probably twenty complete games over four years on the same team, something nearly unheard of by today's rules. Pitching is what wins and loses baseball games. Over those years I developed an extreme sense of responsibility for winning or losing games I pitched. These pitchers are awesome! And to win tournaments, you need three very good pitchers.
As a former resident of Hawai’i , so proud. This is by far the best little league team ever.
Total domination! 🤙
Congratulations Hawaii Little League team. Excellent games. You definitely earned it. ⚾️
Awesome game Kama!! Congratulations Honolulu! 808 BABY!!!
Kama Angel RBI machine in championship game
Good games all around and kudos to all the teams, but this was Hawaii's time. Just an amazing team - great pitching and batting and super aggressive play.
Great job young men and coaches.
Great Job guys way to represent our county and yourselves.
Great Job Hawaii 👏 Don't let none of this haters try to take away your Championship.
Yes they are the best don’t even try to argue it. most dominant group of kids I have ever seen in the llws it’s not even close. They really went there and demolished everyone it was insane those kids are special.
Yes as now a days the best kids don’t play little league anymore… the teams back the in day would have crushed this team. The best kids now only play elite travel ball… the winner of any weekend at Williamsport this year would bet hawaii and they aren’t even some of the elite teams in country
Thank you for the videos!!!
IDK... the hawaii from 2019 that got beat by that louisiana team. But this team is incredible and ao much fun to watch. I love these boys!
I thought the team from Long Beach in the 90s that won back to back titles was the best of all time until I seen this team.
Agreed. Hawaii was absolutely insane
Incredible pitching
Thanks Wheels!!! Congrats against Hawaii!!!
i have never seen a team like this . they were by far one of the best teams ever
Thx for posting!
This Hawaii team and the 2009 Chula Vista team are the 2 most dominant Little League teams I have ever seen
Just imagine these little league teams in Hawaii. All come from a town city to win their district, then to states, then to regionals, and then World Series. Honestly though, the top 5 little teams have a better competition between each other than the other competitors. It has been like that in Hawaii for Years! Not just in this age bracket but from ages 10u to junior and senior little leagues. Cal Ripken and little league. Congrats to all teams though in making this sport entertaining and fun. Keep it up parents and coaches!
That team was crazy
this yr hawaii team is the best ever
of all hawaii little
league team!!no disrespect to
the hawaii team that win b4 this kids ..i watch 3 of the last 4 championships team from hawaii this one felt different like no matter who this kids play we felt that they goin crush em..hats of
to the coaches yall did amazing 🤙🤙🤙🤙
This team and the 2018 were definitely better than the prior Hawaii teams. Reason for this, is in 2018, Little League changed eligibility rules. You could now play where you went to school, instead of just the community you live in. Honolulu already having the largest district in the state, could now take all of the kids from the ILH schools, regardless of where they actually live. The 2018, 2021 and 2022 teams had the best players from the whole island of Oahu. The Ewa Beach and Waipio teams were community based teams, players all representing the town they are from. Honolulu was not that kind of team.
Their timing at bat was crazy perfect with all those hits to straight away center .
Bro all of their pitchers have near perfect motions and get more hip and shoulder separation than most high schoolers
The Hawaii catcher had a superb series. What an amazing team though. These kids did it all and did it exceptionally.
There are always haters and it disgust me when you read their comments and I find it really ridiculously like for example " Mainland competition SUCKS because they play travel ball " Is it Hawaii fault they don't play travel ball but I thought in competition you send your best to compete. And as far as Chinese Taipei is concern they had an off day in
their game against Curacao, most felt Taipei would've gave Hawaii some competition but they didn't and Hawaii did show up. I myself would've love a game between these 2 teams but it didnt turn out in Taipei favor and I have to give Curacao credit I thought they played an excellent game and deserved the victory. But in the finals we all saw Hawaii at its BEST it showed the entire world we do play baseball here in the islands and we play pretty Damm good baseball.
That was AMAZING! Great pitching Great hitting WOW!
Been watching Little League World Series since I was 8 years old I’m 28 now. Out of all Hawaii teams I’ve seen this team was by far the best overall baseball team I have ever seen in Little League.
West Regional is always a very difficult bracket to get out of.
The 3-0 Game against Cali was the closest game they had in region and WS!
@@hpaek1891 noticed that too. crazy stat. Cali must've had a stud on the mound
@@hpaek1891 Yep, SoCal and Hawaii seem to be rotating spots in the LLWS for years now with them both winning quite a few as well. The west regional is always very rough. Not to mention the Vegas, Arizona and NorCal teams as well. It's a brutal region, always has been.
@@mspionage1743 in 2005 Hawaii represented northwest. I wonder if they continue to dominate they would get pushed there again?
@@hpaek1891 I think they should. The Northwest this year and last year was very weak. Would be nice to have some strong teams in the west coast at Williamsport. Last year was painful to watch. They didnt have International bracket so some second place teams made it to Williamsport. Most of the games were won by catcher errors. Some games were ridiculous as half the runs on both teams were all due to catcher error.
When you're a team who are in the zone and have it all together... and relaxed, there isn't a team nor thing that could beat you.
Good job Hawai'i
WE>ME on their backs, instead of their name. Way to set a TEAM mentality!
The West division is probably one of the most difficult division to come out on top. Props to that Hawaii coach who has made it to the LLWS contention three times!! Crazy!
one of the greatest teams ever. Honolulu LL gonna be a dynasty
30 to life, USO Ron watching this like 💪🏽
I love that they celebrate each other at the home plate. Hawai’i is so proud 😭
I feel like hawaii actually swung their bats really well all the other teams were horrible and the bats were swinging them this team is actually physical
🔥
Hawaii stand up 🤙🏾
Hi Wheels, from Spain, will you be covering College football, starting 1 September 2022?
Wow pretty incredible
Impressive. Cant help but feel bad for all the great teams who had to encounter this juggernaut🤦🏽♂️
Hawaii 2022 ,LLWS goat
Yessa!
Best little league team ever! Enough said.
Straight dominated these fools
Memiliano/music Congratulations little league team the best of course..!
It's all that Spam!!! What a team. The little Lancaster guy really should have shaved before the final though.
Congrats Hawaii!!! Amazing LLWS!!!
Anyone know how many 10’s / 11’s are on this team and possibly will be back next year to try to repeat?
Zero
I think half the team were at the cutoff age, so unlikely they'll run it back but there's no denying this team though
HAMMAHS! These boys destroyed the competition, but were/are so humble! They worked hard to get where they wanted to be.
Still think Tapei would've gave them a game due to their great pitching and defense. Really sucks we didn't get to see it
Hands down best team ever.
holy crap...most of these kids are as tall as their manager and the adults.. Must have short managers in Hawaii or Mighty big 12 year olds. Good for them if that's the case. Congratulations.....
that California team in the regionals gave them a better game than any one in the llws
the craziest part is that the players on this team have stated that the hardest tournament for them was the state tournament. It's an entire state that's churning out solid players now. The future is looking bright in the 808.
Actually, the state competition was way tougher than the llws. The teams in Hawaii are awesome. One of the pitchers, if I remembered, from Maui was actually better than Jaron but his team lost to Honolulu.
@@forme3h Kai Watanabe of Maui is as good as Sakamoto and Lancaster. 73 mph with a deadly slider, and a unique release. Luckily for Honolulu, Watanabe had to pitch against Pearl City the day before, and could not face Honolulu. My son played for Pearl City, Honolulu was great, and a really class act. Just wanted to mention that at the state tournament, Honolulu only saw one of the opposing teams ace pitcher. The first game of the tournament. In that game, Honolulu was actually down 4-2 when the ace had to leave the game. The tournament field was also only 190 to center. If it was 225 like the regionals and World Series, the other Hawaii teams would have had a better chance. 190 to center with the way Honolulu hits... And still, it was competitive tournament for all.
808 Vs Everybody 💯
4:00 that was a ripper!
Yes. They dominated every team
2012 Japan and this team would match well. Super Dominant
Lancaster and Sakamoto are something different, would love to see them at the next level
Just a plane ticket for Babe Ruth games….
Good job, just subscribed. Shaka bradah.
Bro I was on my tournament team and we got eliminated the first couple games and I’m litterally like 4’9 and 65 pounds and 11 yrs old these kids are huge
Lancaster might be the best player I’ve ever seen play in the LLWS
Man amongst boys
All those kids could hit. If I remember correctly, half the team hit at least one home run and hawaii as a team almost had the same amount of home runs as the rest of the teams. Absurd.
Yes they r
Cheeeeewhoooooo
Wow
Hawaii No Ka Oi!
My boys from the 808 showed out
Those kids are as big as a grown ups big kids in Hawaii.
Judging by all the point spreads this is indeed the most dominant LL American team ever.
listen they are good but i want to see 2019 Louisiana vs 2022 Hawaii Reece Rousel would go crazy.
Very good indeed but The depleted talent pool from the mainland teams certainly factors into the domination. In the last several years you’ve seen the best players 10-12 years old especially in Florida Texas and California no longer participate in the classic Little League team instead they now play travel ball. This does not happen as frequently in Hawaii so they are still getting the top notch players
18:15 the hr has got BIG RENT DISTRICT written all over it
They only used like 2 pitchers most of that entire run. And that’s all they needed.
Hawaii's players number 13 is easily the best player
Imagine these guys playing against their local teams🤣 sheesh
LIttle League baseball is more exciting than the Majors!😂
the oklahoma women didn’t get its shine based off the comments on main tv network’s channels so hopefully the hawaii little league does
24:11 2-2 count with the tying run 60 feet away
Southern California was their best opponent easily. There were multiple bad calls against so cal not saying they would have won
hawaii vs everybody
Comparing 2022 Honolulu vs 2009 C.V. They were both dominant but Hawaii was more dominant.
4 parts thay negate C.V. as most dominant:
* loss to Texas 6 -3 on 08/25
* Close game W over Georgia
* Finals W over Chinese Taipei
* Outscoring opponents 61-21
I heard all the good players from the states are playing travel ball. Maybe because they're on an island it's harder for them to play travel ball (unless they just play in Hawaii) so they had all their good players playing against a bunch of 3rd stringers. Just a thought. Good job Hawaii.
hey thats on them...if u want to represent your state ...then play the litte league
Wasn’t there an Asian team in the 80’s who didn’t even allow a hit or a run or something like that?
hawaiis pitchers gettings Ks and hitting bombs
I like how there closest game was in the regionals
Against my team
West is da best as why
