Hey folks, this is sameer and in today’s video I am going to how you a step by step guide to unlock the boot loader of Poco f1 and how to install twrp recovery. Now this is the simplest method that you can follow in order to unlock the bootloader of poco f1 and the best thing is that if you follow this method correctly you can unlock your bootloader in just 5 minutes and you also don’t have to wait for the permission.
So, don’t skip the steps and watch it till the end. So now without any further ado let start.
Now before we get started make sure your device is almost 60 % charged and you should also backup all your data as it will erase all the data from your device internal storage.

@@mitafs I'm thankful for the video, it saves a lot of time, but still, I was under the impression that this method entailed not having to wait the 72 hours.. but alas. So the video is great! However the title can be misleading. I don't see the issue with asking to change the title to something with less potential to confuse ppl, which is helpful to other ppl like me. The remark also does not state he/she is not thankful, though the way you formulate your comment, you seem to imply it is?? U are going too fast towards the end.. I tried and twrp was installed when I rebooted my device and went back to recovery, i found stock recovery again, whats happening
i faced two issues, its really just dumb of me but i'll share it here incase others are stuck as well,
1. it cannot copy the item because the device has either stopped responding or it has been disconnected.
- basically there is an option under the notification bar on your poco phone there is this USB connection notification that allows you to change the settings of the type of connection, change it from USB charging this device to transfer files and you shld be able to drop the files into the internal storage
2. create a single folder and just dump all the downloaded files into the file TWRP files no extract
SDK Tools extract, follow the steps in the video, do not create individual folders and group them seperately into eg. twrp file or sdk and save the respective downloads into the seperate folder names, just lump them together. For my case, in the powershell window, i had to type ./fastboot devices with the key here being the ./ to enable the command lines to work it has to be infront of fastboot, if you type fastboot itself it's not going to work i dont know why.

hey, i have a problem with twrp , i cannot see any of my internal storage's files on twrp, they are visible on pc with mtp. i tried format data and reboot still nothing.

You forgot to mention that we have to wait for 72 hours or 3 days before we can actually unlock our device using the Mi Unlock.

@@fearoftehdark Not sure but perhaps if u flash the DisableForceEncryption before booting into fastboot to activate twrp it may work then when twrp is active
there is an option in the 'mount' section of TWRP to 'disable MTP'
MTP is the file transfer system. If you disable and then re-enable it, the phone should show up on your PC

TWRP asks for a password on first boot to decrypt Data... Anyone struggle with that ? Looks like it's a bug in this modified TWRP version. How did you manage that ?

Hey guys i have an issue, i was running Pixel Experience 10 but on MIUI 10, i couldn't update the last one so i thought to get back to stock rom, update to miui 11 and then get back to my Pixel rom. I DID A F*CKING MISTAKE. I installed the Miui 11 Update through TWRP without restoring the stock miui 10 rom. It worked but i had lost my Pixel rom ( i have a backup), ok then i installed TWRP at the MIUI 11 because recovery mode got me at Xiaomi Recovery for some reason. Inside the TWRP i flashed Disabled forc Encryption, but it didnt flash the Magisk, i reboot to system and after 100 bootloops i tried to go back to recovery mode, it boot at TWRP but since then, the TOUCHSCREEN DOESN'T WORK.. I used xiaomi mi flash tool to return to stock rom, it did, locked the bootloader etc...the touchscreen still doesn't work though... I can connect a mouse with OTG Type-C and i can do anything you tell me in order to fix it.. i have already update to MIUI 11, unlock the bootloader, installed TWRP and have Root. Has anyone any idea or a solution to try? Thanks everyone in advance.

According to what I've read (as far as I remember) in XDA, that's OK, it's wrongly translated. You have to wait three days from the moment you got that couldn't unlock message, then repeat the process of unlocking the F1 and it'll be definitely unlocked instead of popping that message.
