We left Cebu and went to Boracay for four days the Friday before Sinulog. I really wanted to experience it, but it seems like a lot of people had an experience like yours. They say it hasn’t been the same since COVID. Hopefully it will get better, I’d like to see it some day.
Sinulog now was less festive after the pandemic and after it changed to a new venue from the city center to SRP or the seaside area. Sinulog since last year in its new location hasn't been exactly the same as the past years before pandemic, because of this new venue since last year, the travel to the new venue has been a headache to some. Sinulog in the city center was way more festive and wild. The past two years have been the diluted version. If you go farther the route, you can see more contingents. Anyway, to give an idea how it was like before, check out some of these vlogs. You will not really appreciate the Sinulog vibe if you're not on the Grandstand to watch the main show or war people in paint in the heights of the city. Watching sinulog parade is kinda boring.

The main street dance is held at Abellana, Jones ave. bro.
Finding the locations was a bit rough but it’s all good bro. Hopefully next time I get to experience the street dancing and all that.
