I keep trying out other yoga teachers to give some variation, but I haven't found anyone that does YIN as well as you do. Love the variations, the minimal speaking you do and no background music. I can focus much better on what I'm meant to be doing.
I love it, givin so much time and space to be in silence with myself in a posture with only the calming sound of the sea. That is what healing needs: time and silence and asana's!
This is my favourite yoga practice of yours!❤ it has the best poses in the best order! So relaxing and I always feel well stretched after! Thank you so much Devi 🙏
Your wonderful, not too woo-woo yin is exactly what my body needs to stop hurting and allow me the sleep we often miss during & post menopause. Thank you
Graditude is such a wonderful feeling. Whenever it comes into my heart I am so excited. I feel grateful for this practice and for your youtube channel. Thanks so much for your generous heart, Devi. Namaste' from Humboldt County, California.
This is my 3rd day practicing your yoga & I just love your teaching. No background music, no distractions. You literally take your time through each pose & it doesn’t feel rushed. Most yoga teachers end their RUclips videos with Savansan but the videos end right away & you have to hurry to grab the remote before the ad comes on or next video. I really appreciate the long ending & then the meditation follow up. For me, I have found that yoga really helps lead me into meditation-so I love that you did that here. lol I would’ve sat here for another 20 min of meditation with you because you helped get me sooo relaxed. Thank you so much for this class. I’m looking forward to doing this one again & excited to check out more of your videos. Love your work! Thank you thank you thank you…. I came here very anxious this evening & you helped me ♥️
I love your yin yoga practices. I hadn’t done yin yoga for about 6 years, but now I’m hooked again. Your voice is so soothing, I actually don’t want the practice to end. Also love these shorter holds per pose, I can handle 3 minutes and work my way back up. Thank you so much 😊
What a great way to end my day! I didn't really feel like I wanted to do much as I felt quite tired but this wonderful session I could do and I loved it! Thank you
I love the holding of poses that allows me to feel into the nuances of the stretch, to adjust my body for safety and to finally meditate into the space......thank you kindly xx
went from feeling super tense ALL throughout my body-i suffer from chronic hip rotation and visited the chiropractor today. Between my adjustment and this video i went from a level 7 pain to a level 2! Thank you for all you do Devi! I truly appreciate my time on the mat with you
I've done this practice previously and enjoyed it. But today, my body is wrestling with something (either a virus, or just good ol' exhaustion) that is making me feel absolutely wretched, and this class truly made a difference! I really appreciate how grounded and supportive this practice is -- deeply nourishing and healing. Thank you for sharing this gift.
Did half the class the first time I found your channel (after liking your short about punk rock and yoga symmetry :D I am a big metalhead myself, and plan on (re)starting to teach Death Metal Yoga) Needed the water sounds and deep stretches. Your voice is very nice :) *hugs* Big Gratitude.
This was a beautiful practice. I love your focus on the healing powers of the brain and the body. It is good to be reminded of those truths. Thanks again. I loved this practice. Namaste'
one of my favorite practices on youtube, have done numerous times over the past weeks. just perfect for relaxing and releasing stress, and always feel so much better afterward. thank you so much!!
I really loved this, your talking style is on point for Yin ! From a Yoga Teacher in Scotland thank you and one love. Also.. I like how you gave image of variation at side while doing postures and that you had that little timer in video. Some people might struggle to surrender to full length of Yin if they're new too it and yeah I liked that :)
Hi Devi, Bora Bora must be such a beautiful place to practice yoga (and surf, etc), thank you for taking us there ! It's soothing (for me at least) that you talk a bit during savasana, this pose isn't comfortable for the yang me, and my mind always wants to wande. So, concentrating on your words is very useful ! Namaste from France 🙏
Hi Karine, Yes this deck was part of a spectacular place where we stayed on our honeymoon! I’m glad you enjoyed this savasana… it’s my favorite form of meditation ☺️
Well, My Love, I just did this practice again and forgot that I had done it before. It felt brand new and I was struck by your instruction to trust your brain and your mind and your body. Trust is so difficult for me. I am in a process that calls for trusting the Universe and I am struggling. So it is good to be reminded because some of my parts are not sure the body is safe to be in, Thanks again Devi, you are part of my healing team. Namaste'
I loved everything about this class. Thank you for holding space. Thank you for guiding with the modifications and where the stretches will be felt, it really got me in my body and out of my head. I never felt the need to over stretch, you made me feel enough just as I was. It has been exceedingly difficult to find a class where I can feel that way after having spinal surgery 4 months ago, so thank you!
Nice relaxing and healing session for my right hip/buttock/back with sound of the ocean. I did both variations in half saddle, I don't like long backbends even suttle. Thx ❤😊❤
Thank you for this beautiful Yin practice for healing & relaxation from Bora Bora. The view was so lovely & peaceful. This was just the perfect class to start my day. I will meet you on the mat tomorrow for the full body yin yoga from Maui. I have wonderful memories of taking my Mom there many years ago! Namaste from Orlando❤️🙏🧘♀️
Thank you so much for sharing. Super wonderful practice. I really enjoyed the savasana and meditation double to end with too.. And the calming scenery, too! 😊❤️🙏
Found you recently and intuitively knew I was supposed to take your classes! Absolutely luv’d this one. I’m a newbie and was guided here - you make it really easy to follow and your voice is very relaxing! Thank you Devi ❤xx
Lovely practice, but I'm wondering why the twists were at the beginning of the sequence? In all of my Yin Yoga studies, I've learned that twists are placed at the end of a sequence as they help to neutralize the spine after flexion, extension, and lateral movements. I was surprised to find the twists before my spine had been guided into other directions. Please explain. Thanks!
Hi Jessica, thanks for this question. Twists are often placed at the end of yin sequences, but there’s no rule that it must be done that way. It can indeed be a lovely way to end a practice energetically, and I do it often, but I also enjoy some variety in my sequencing. I like to explore different ways of doing yin, since I’ve been at it for 15 years and I never want to get into a rut with my practice. Any yin posture that we place at the beginning of a sequence will affect us differently than if it was placed it at the end. We usually feel stiffest at the beginning of any sequence, regardless of the pose. If the body feels unprepared in a particular variation, it can be a good opportunity to explore a milder variation. There are lots of twist modifications and proppings to explore, which most experienced yin yogis are familiar with, but beginners can check out my Yin Twisting practice: ruclips.net/video/_GJy9gAgSAo/видео.html I’ve heard many rules about sequencing from other teacher trainers, but I often find these rules to be more opinion-based than fact-based. I too have my opinions on yin sequencing. It's a subject I’m most passionate about, and I even did a webinar on it recently which you can watch here if you’re interested: ruclips.net/video/WDAMO3FdLYw/видео.html But in my Yin Teacher Trainings, I am careful not to present my opinions and preferences as rules that others should follow. I tend to align with my teacher Paul Grilley, who says there are no hard rules on sequencing, but that it's good to be mindful that every order of poses that you choose will affect people differently, and what works well for one person's body may not feel good at all to another. If a pose isn't resonating, we can always just skip it, too!

I was looking for a session when you are sick but still want à little bit of mobility..this one is perfect..any other suggestion Devi ?😊
This was fantastic. How often do you recommend that one does yin yoga?
You can do yin yoga 1-7 times a week! It’s different for everyone but 2-4 times a week seems most common.
@@DeviDalyYoga thanks for your advice. :-)
