there is a black rubber seal on the inside that you have not shown. I removed mine to find it filled with oil and one bush collapsed. would be great if you showed the oring on the pump side. Great video!
This is the same alternator on my combo van only its a clutch pulley version, the clutch pully went on mine plus it was leaking oil so decided to buy a new one, the new one works fine except when i originally fitted it oil was pissing out the back of it due to a poorly installed o ring between the alternator and vac pump, it seems they never test these vac pumps in the factory as this is twice ive had this with new alternators. Great video though i shall be rebuilding my original hatchi one so i got a new one waiting to go, chances are the new one will start leaking oil out the rear seal after about 50k they always do.

I believe it's a good brand mechman alternators.. I order one of 320 amps and it can go up to 350 amps.. I can't wait to installed in my truck.
Good video. It would be interesting to see how to improve alternator performance to get higher amperage and voltage from stock alternator. What need to change.
Good evening, I have a problem with my Astra G 2003. During driving, the revs drop below 9 and the speedometer doesn't work. Maybe you know what it would be, thanks in advance.😀
Hi my alternator light doesnt come on whilst the car is driving but my battery doesn't charge. If i disconnect my negative terminal car dies. (switches off). Why would the alternator light stay on. Or is it only for the belt.
Another great job, well done. I don't like to see this type of alternator coming into my workshop for repair.
