One of my favourite things about the Far Cry series is how every game has such cool marketing, like the FC6 found footage film or FC5 having the Joseph actor come down in a copter

you can get this mask that allows you to machete enemy's from the front even when alerted. That when combined with the gloves that allow you to pull the grenade of an enemy and kick them, makes for a really easy melee build playthrough
To be honest, these are one of the best tips ever given to start a revolution and overthrow a regime as not carrying any weapon and walking on foot will give an illusion of being harmless and this you would be able to start your uprising without attracting unwanted attention.

the tank exploding should actually be a gameplay mechanic, like tanks that auto explode should have some small detail that you may miss
