I'm legally blind since birth, I'm 50. I've been a subscriber of yours for a couple of years now. LOVE your channel and the info is SO helpful! Can you give an idea of how much money I should spend on a magnifier that is 10x like this? The old-school version w/o the light? Thank you so much!

I’d say $50-$100 is probably a good range to spend on a Magnifier. Of course you can find them cheaper but the quality probably wouldn’t be great.

    Hey Sam.
Great video buddy. That's a pretty handy dandy magnifier. Thank you for the review and showing us this really neat magnifier. I did notice the one thing about this video though, the volume of your voice wasn't as loud as your other ones. Just thought you'd want to know that. Other than that the video was awesome. See you in the next one

For someone that uses a pocket magnifier like you and I do, it's quite the let down to get all the way through the demo you did only to get to the end and realize, man this is great. But, it's not available yet. Crap. Please do let us know when it is available.

I got mine todqy 4x with LED. Loved it. I can turn back to reading physical books again. Since its so light I can read much longer than the electronical magnifiers. Not tired of grabing the magnifier on air, that what I was looking for. There is onlt one little issue. The white like tired my eyes sooner than I rxpected. How did you used your old magnifier without led. Did you use something like reading lamp or else?

Found one of these the other day, might be broken though , I have been searching online to see if there is closeup pics of the led, on the one i have the led has no cover on it, seems like a design flaw if its made that way, like water could get in to it.

Dam, Love your videos. They have been a big help for me. I need to know how to order from your store on Amazon. Please post the link somewhere where we can all find it when we need it.

I think those are really cool, and I wish I could use them, but they just don't work for me. I just end up using a magnifier app like WeZOOM. 😀

Sir, is there any digital pocket scale with voice for low vision

I use my iPhone with the free magnifying app. Bigger screen. Higher magnification.

what a good idea, I havent worked out how to use a phone yet BUT if they ever make one with a screen big enough for the font size i need this would be so cool and way better then being so young and having to carry around a HUGE magnifying glass everywhere I can feel people staring at me so a phone would be much more discreet.

I think an iPhone is one of the easiest ones to use when you were legally blind. It has a lot of adaptability features

I found the hole for the lanyard, but not quite sure how to insert the lanyard into the hole so that the clam shell doesn't fall out. Any suggestions? Thanks

This solves an issue I have with lense magnifiers. This one is strong enough and has more viewing area. It would be great to have a reliable backup magnifier. What type of batter does it use?

    • @theblindlife

It’s one of those small watch batteries which comes with the Magnifier.

Why not just use the free magnifying app you can get for your iPhone or your android device? You get light and magnification and don’t have to carry anything extra.

Adding a auto reader to the app would be nice.
