awesome gameplay? games 20 years ago had better gameplay /action combat... like RaiderZ, Destrega, Pirate of the Black Cat... FF franchise lack social and PVP updates. Doesn't have baisc social features like chat bubbles (you only look at chat box whole day which sux), no smaller nameplates aka small text font size option, no voice chat, good 4v4 Arena style map like Heavens Arena from the King's Avatar animation, no frontline popout sound notification, outdated combat and subscription model, convoluted login/register system (cant even use afna at launcher reset password confirm email box), no blue mage in PVP, lack of innovations such combining already good PvE elements with PVP such as open-world raid bosses where players and guild fight to contest said bosses? compete for the boss. they could drop epic mounts o exp/gear tokens which could be a great alternative to story leveling. new players cannot share their content on ffxiv reddit... or ability to tame open world monsters as your mount doesn't change the fac the game has 500 ms animation lock + 2.5s global cd tab targeting combat. 20 years behind. they thought they will fix the combat by adding crazy animations, but that also just cluttered the game. mybe they could lower global cd to 2 second but anything lower hard because crazy animations. but the core problem si still there. tab targeting combat. not even hybrid action combat with skillshots and dodges. elt alone true action combat like Smite, Vindictus r the Kings Avatar animation. WoW TBC, for example, ahs bunch of instant casts too but only 1 second global cd. also wow tbc has chat bubbles and voice chat... ffxiv only has emotes and chat box. and it sux watching into chat bo whole day that get spammed. it is not socially itneractive. or actually good 4v4 map like heavens Arena from the Kings Avatar or open-world raid bosses where players and guild could fight to contest them....or ability to tame open world monsters as your mount....innovate....more PVP events/rewards/mounts, combine PvE and PVP elements... and ffxiv community often mix competitive spirit and rivallry with toxicity

@@Dualities I'm not mixing anything up, only noting that if others observe toxic behavior from the outside, then it is at least a possibility that they are right, in which case a lack of personal insight is likely. There is indeed a difference between being competitive and being toxic, and usually people can tell the difference, and have different reactions to those behaviors. If you hear this kind of feedback often, sometimes you might have to consider the fact that they are seeing something about yourself that you don't. That's what I mean by a lack of self awareness.
Thank you for this playthrough. I thoroughly enjoyed every silly, happy, screaming, sad, crying second of it. I don't know what it is about this game that I can't watch the ending without getting emotional every single time. Part 2 can't come some enough.

Never gets old to watch reactions of people who loved the game. I cried my whole playthru. Never have experienced so insanely powerful nostalgia before. This is not only best videogame. FF7 Remake is one of my best life experiences. I am so thankfull.
After seeing the original JP dialog from 30:44 onwards, the whole scene casts a different light. In the JP, it's more like the continuation of a past conversation between Aerith & Sephiroth. In the ENG localization, it reads more like Aerith is just calling his entire existence wrong, while Sephiroth is sort of (confusingly?) talking past her with something odd and cryptic, towards Cloud. Same goes for the final moment, where you meet Sephiroth at the Edge of Creation. He uses a very different way to refer to himself, which never happens with any other version / illusion you see throughout the game until then. The Ultimania book from Square goes out of its way to refer to this Sephiroth as the only one who spoke in the same manner as he did before the Nibelheim incident. Little things like that are completely left out of the localization, sadly, but I can see it being hard to translate the different ways of saying 'I' from Japanese, and how they change the tone of a character. I do like the fan theory that this Sephiroth is a version from before he went loopy / lost control to Jenova. I always figured that Jenova was essentially silently controlling/manipulating everyone who has her cells in them, from the lowest Soldier to Sephiroth himself.
Well wasn't that the case? Most of the time in the original you haven't even met Seph but Jenova stealing his appearance? And the fact that for example Cloud moved without control was also due to Jenova? It's been a long time since I played the original but I always thought this was a fact.
@@yuno4163 This is correct, the only actual Sephiroth is the one sealed in the ice in the northern crater. All the other encounters are Jenova pretending to be Sephiroth.

Sephiroths will was so strong that instead of him succumbing to Jenova she succumbed to his godlike will. This was the case in the og and so it is here.

Honestly one of the best lines in the FF franchise imo. Feels like it's the Remake crew saying "If you miss the comfort of certainty, of knowing what's going to happen next, then that's fine: Everyone feels that way right now. Everyone. We are no exception."
I've watched every part of this and it's been so good. I only got xbox and ff7 is my fav game ever so not been able to play this remake but watching you been breath of fresh air. You are really really likeable and it hard to come across people like that these days

the day this released and I loaded up the game. just the music on the menu and that sense of reliving childhood got me. then I started the game.... so awesome.
I skipped school to be at Walmart for the original release of FF7 way back in 1997. 12 year old me lost his mind over this game! The remake did not disappoint. I especially love seeing the younger generation find a spot in their hearts for this game as well! You’re so invested, I remember feeling exactly the same way all those years ago! Bravo young lady!
Heres what I like about this take on the game that a lot of fans don’t like, the term remake was assumed to essentially be a 1:1 retelling of the story but technically when you remake something it is never the same as it once was. The future of the game now is unknown which is exciting for new fans and old fans alike, yes there is now a chance to prevent Aeriths death (I don’t want that to be the case as for me THAT made the game for me) however to change one thing is to change everything now no one is safe as without the whispers around to prevent changes now anything goes and honestly the one character who benefits the most out of this is Sephiroth. He clearly knows he does not win in the go timeline but now he has a chance to win as well a fuck with the characters even more given what he knows. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next, would I be happy if the story remained relatively the same sure, would l enjoy being surprised by what might happen now absolutely. Plus it’s Nomura so time travel/manipulation is standard these days, I would not be surprised if the game takes a CYOA route where from now on where you decide during key moments if you stay with the storyline or create your own (within reason) timeline that way everyone’s happy.
I agree with most of what you said but i find your opinion on the gamr and this goes for everyonr is dependant on how you view og ff7, people that view it as untouchable, people burnt out by the compilation which mind you was all writen by different people as dirge of cerberus was writen by someone not from square enix but with their notes, people that view the game as a fun time, and people that view the narative from the perspective of a writer I find those that are writers tend to instantly blame the changes on nomura when kitase is the writer and scenario writer meaning he makes the main plot points rather than the director, they are people that generally work on the same project so its more likely eachothers writing styles rub off on one another People like frankie i put in the have fond memories of ff7 and are willing to let things change because they'll never stop having their old memories even if the remake does go down a crap shoot, so i think the real reason people give remake a hard time even though the general consensus is its a great time is can the individual view ff7r as not ff7 and if they cant then they will be disapointed, i view ff7r as a sequel rather than a retelling as many events in this game dont happen in og ff7 plus all the for shadowing that sephiroth and aerith have knowledge of the future which absolutely didnt happen before

If it is then spoilers Mufasa dies in the Lion King too. Also she’s played the original so if people are fans they’ve likely already seen the original thus no spoilers. Feels like your complaining to complain, if you’ve never played either game and are trying to get the story don’t watch a reaction as a lot gets cut.
Having only just found your channel...I just want to say, Thank You 😄 Watching the pure, raw emotions...the highs and the lows of Remake...the way you express what you're feeling echoes and mirrors EVERYTHING I felt when I first played through this, the first part of an epic saga. Wasn't expecting to watch someone ells play this but it was great to watch you share the enthusiasm I had playing this. One of the best games I played in years... Square did it justice.
I sometimes forget just how hype the ending of ff7rm is, although it does kind of screw over the other entries. With all the set pieces and escalation of fights it's going to be odd to return to the series and the have trouble fighting regular enemies.
Ive seen people say the way they explain it is they were fighting in a singularity where time has no meaning, basically explaining that they became as strong as the versions they were when they fought sephiroth by the time advent children happened, like imagine you got all the strength you will ever have in your life in one instant how strong youd be

I’m one of the OG Fans of the first game, I am that guy who didn’t like the end of this but realise I’m in the minority. Original FFVII remains my favourite game of all time and the plot made sense, Biggs, wedge and Jessie’s deaths all served a purpose to fuel Barrett’s motivation against Shinra while Zack did the same for Cloud and was the whole reasoning for his alter ego and taking on Zacks life. I realise this isn’t a remake at all but a continuation of sorts. I enjoyed 95% of the game and thought some bits were just perfect. I would have been happy with the roller as the end boss and the gang leaving Midgar. Having a massive Sephiroth battle at the end of game 1 just means Square-Enix are stumped as to how to end game 2? Are we going to have Sephiroth battles after each game now? Also as he’s the Sephiroth from the future he should have easily cast aside these whole team at this point. Rant over, still enjoyed your video 😇

I think maybe this is my favorite game of all time, porobably shared with the original, since it would not exist without it, and I can't wait to see the continuation! This is so nice, i love FFVII so much since 1997! it's really good replaying and seeing your reacts since you have such genuine emotions while playing. I doubt any other game could possibly make people get so emotionally involved in a game like this one...I mean, it brings all sorts of emotions, fun, joy, sadness, sorrow, hapiness, fear, despair, mistery, excitement etc while not only evoking it butit also bring these at the perfect moments. Props to Square! this game was 10/10 for me in the original and the remake only make me experience all over again but more intensely with so much deepening into the characters and story. Can't wait for the next part. I see you have a crush on Zack lol i never played Crisis core but who knows one day.

Honestly one of the best lines in the FF franchise imo. Feels like it's the Remake crew saying "If you miss the comfort of certainty, of knowing what's going to happen next, then that's fine: Everyone feels that way right now. Everyone. We are no exception."
I've watched every part of this and it's been so good. I only got xbox and ff7 is my fav game ever so not been able to play this remake but watching you been breath of fresh air. You are really really likeable and it hard to come across people like that these days

the day this released and I loaded up the game. just the music on the menu and that sense of reliving childhood got me. then I started the game.... so awesome.

I skipped school to be at Walmart for the original release of FF7 way back in 1997. 12 year old me lost his mind over this game! The remake did not disappoint. I especially love seeing the younger generation find a spot in their hearts for this game as well! You’re so invested, I remember feeling exactly the same way all those years ago! Bravo young lady!

Heres what I like about this take on the game that a lot of fans don’t like, the term remake was assumed to essentially be a 1:1 retelling of the story but technically when you remake something it is never the same as it once was. The future of the game now is unknown which is exciting for new fans and old fans alike, yes there is now a chance to prevent Aeriths death (I don’t want that to be the case as for me THAT made the game for me) however to change one thing is to change everything now no one is safe as without the whispers around to prevent changes now anything goes and honestly the one character who benefits the most out of this is Sephiroth. He clearly knows he does not win in the go timeline but now he has a chance to win as well a fuck with the characters even more given what he knows.
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next, would I be happy if the story remained relatively the same sure, would l enjoy being surprised by what might happen now absolutely. Plus it’s Nomura so time travel/manipulation is standard these days, I would not be surprised if the game takes a CYOA route where from now on where you decide during key moments if you stay with the storyline or create your own (within reason) timeline that way everyone’s happy.
I agree with most of what you said but i find your opinion on the gamr and this goes for everyonr is dependant on how you view og ff7, people that view it as untouchable, people burnt out by the compilation which mind you was all writen by different people as dirge of cerberus was writen by someone not from square enix but with their notes, people that view the game as a fun time, and people that view the narative from the perspective of a writer
I find those that are writers tend to instantly blame the changes on nomura when kitase is the writer and scenario writer meaning he makes the main plot points rather than the director, they are people that generally work on the same project so its more likely eachothers writing styles rub off on one another
People like frankie i put in the have fond memories of ff7 and are willing to let things change because they'll never stop having their old memories even if the remake does go down a crap shoot, so i think the real reason people give remake a hard time even though the general consensus is its a great time is can the individual view ff7r as not ff7 and if they cant then they will be disapointed, i view ff7r as a sequel rather than a retelling as many events in this game dont happen in og ff7 plus all the for shadowing that sephiroth and aerith have knowledge of the future which absolutely didnt happen before

Also she’s played the original so if people are fans they’ve likely already seen the original thus no spoilers. Feels like your complaining to complain, if you’ve never played either game and are trying to get the story don’t watch a reaction as a lot gets cut.

Wasn't expecting to watch someone ells play this but it was great to watch you share the enthusiasm I had playing this. One of the best games I played in years... Square did it justice.
I love 7 and 10 so much. And I love seeing you get emotional because I love this game so much.
I sometimes forget just how hype the ending of ff7rm is, although it does kind of screw over the other entries.
With all the set pieces and escalation of fights it's going to be odd to return to the series and the have trouble fighting regular enemies.
Ive seen people say the way they explain it is they were fighting in a singularity where time has no meaning, basically explaining that they became as strong as the versions they were when they fought sephiroth by the time advent children happened, like imagine you got all the strength you will ever have in your life in one instant how strong youd be
they were in some alternate dimension, doesn't mean as much as you think it does

I’m one of the OG Fans of the first game, I am that guy who didn’t like the end of this but realise I’m in the minority. Original FFVII remains my favourite game of all time and the plot made sense, Biggs, wedge and Jessie’s deaths all served a purpose to fuel Barrett’s motivation against Shinra while Zack did the same for Cloud and was the whole reasoning for his alter ego and taking on Zacks life. I realise this isn’t a remake at all but a continuation of sorts. I enjoyed 95% of the game and thought some bits were just perfect. I would have been happy with the roller as the end boss and the gang leaving Midgar. Having a massive Sephiroth battle at the end of game 1 just means Square-Enix are stumped as to how to end game 2? Are we going to have Sephiroth battles after each game now? Also as he’s the Sephiroth from the future he should have easily cast aside these whole team at this point. Rant over, still enjoyed your video 😇

just bumped into your channel and got sucked into your reacts from part1 up until the very end! This is so nice, i love FFVII so much since 1997! it's really good replaying and seeing your reacts since you have such genuine emotions while playing. I doubt any other game could possibly make people get so emotionally involved in a game like this one...I mean, it brings all sorts of emotions, fun, joy, sadness, sorrow, hapiness, fear, despair, mistery, excitement etc while not only evoking it butit also bring these at the perfect moments.
Props to Square! this game was 10/10 for me in the original and the remake only make me experience all over again but more intensely with so much deepening into the characters and story.
Can't wait for the next part. I see you have a crush on Zack lol i never played Crisis core but who knows one day.
