One-time sitcom actor and well-known devotee of Scientology, Danny Masterson, is now also a convicted rapist. Last week he was jailed for 30 years for drugging and sexually assaulting two women in 2003. Masterson’s trial attracted enormous attention, not only because of his fame and violent crimes. The Church of Scientology was also condemned, accused of going to extraordinary lengths to protect its star recruit from prosecution.
But what’s been revealed since Masterson’s sentencing is causing more controversy. The disgraced actor received substantial support from fellow Hollywood celebrities including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. In letters to the judge asking for leniency for Masterson, the married couple described their friend more like a saint than a sinner. They said he was a role model and an exceptional character. Not surprisingly their comments have caused outrage.

Listen, I dumped my own brother when I found out he was abusing his partner. Not only this, I supported his partner. I never spoke to my brother after that. All other siblings dumped me after this and I haven't spoken to my parents since, as they wanted to support him. Doing the right thing may be hard and there is a cost to it; but it's the right thing to do. I have no Hollywood money but I prefer to do what is right, not what is popular.

Actually, there were plenty of people watching, plenty who should have had their spidey sense go off like a rocket whenever Danny hosted one of his house parties, or when he adopted "DJ Donkey Punch" as his moniker for music DJ. I would not recommend looking up Donkey Punch; it is a criminal act, a physical assault designed to force victims of both sexes into anal sex.
Brie Shaffer (sp), his handler, apparently had been aware of Dannie's familiarity with roofies and date rape drugs. Of course he was himself a budding drug addict with alcohol his drug of choice (reportedly he was kept in the medical wing of jail to detox him from alcohol addiction, a potentially deadly medical issue.
His friend Luke Watson tried to prevent Danny from taking a drugged JD upstairs to his bedroom and bathroom, ostensibly to clean her up because the drugs caused her to vomit. But when he got her naked in the shower, he joined her, himself naked and aroused. What happened next is sworn court testimony by the victim, but also described in detail by Masterson in one of his initial reports to Scientology.
Valmar V., another cast member of that 70s show, was conspicuous by his absence in not writing a glowing letter about Danny. Why was that?

    • @kosmickrysti

It should be a statute of limitation. 20 years are far to late to be a legit accusation. People must have personal responsibility to follow cult rules. Sweden had a limit within 15 y for rape up until recently. Apparently it have been a trend to remove statute of limitation for rape. I don’t agree with that trend. It was too long ago and the sentence was far to harsh. 25 years counts as lifetime in Sweden.

He held THEM responsible for, first That 70's Show losing syndication, $40 million gone there because of the stuff Danny did, and then, Danny got fired from The Ranch when Netflix finally reached out and told them, there's no way this moves forward with him, and then The Ranch itself is just done, because of the things Danny has done, and the Jane Does themselves reaching out to Netflix, encouraging them to take action.
There were a few people who worked on The Ranch who reached out to the Jane Does and others about things Ashton said, or, often SCREAMED, about them.
He usually used the b***h word when talking about them, saying they're crazy, etc.
They all have the impression Ashton hated them, people who worked under Ashton on The Ranch have said, he hated them. But yeah, it is true, I can;t see into his mind. The things he says/has said and how he's always acted towards them, suggests that he does hate them, though. And that was what, Jane Doe #3 said specifically, "Ashton hates us."

Singling them out is ridiculous. For one you don’t always know who your friends are. You can think one thing and be totally wrong. I believe they are perfect and they are total monsters, just look at Ted Bundy most people that didn’t know about what he did thought he was a great guy. Second none of us know exactly what really happened except for the women and him. They are the only people that know what truly happened. He could’ve definitely done exactly what they said or things could be totally the opposite. Loads of people are falsely convicted all the time. Not saying that he was just saying anything is possible. So immediately blasting someone for sticking up for their friend, without also mentioning that they could be correct in their opinion and of his character. Because the only people that know the facts of the accusations are the ones that experienced it and lived it.

    • @lunavalcreations
      @lunavalcreations 8 месяцев назад

@joshnizzle let's look at this logically. Do you know the statistics of conviction rates for rape? There had to have been EVIDENCE for, at the time of the accusations, one 16 years old and the other 18 years old. He was accused in 2016, and they occurred in 2001 and 2003. The accused is a celebrity with money, a scientologist at that. To then get 30 years? It's shocking that he was sentenced that long. That old of a case and that kind of sentence, there was damning evidence. Of course you don't always know someone you think you know. But to hear all the evidence, listen to the victims impact statements, be the founder of Thorn, and STILL try to emphasize what a great guy he is, how anti drug he was, how he should, a convicted rapist who drugged his victims, should be around his DAUGHTER. Wake up.

One correction: Masterson was sentenced to life, with the possibility of parole after serving his first 30 years in prison, for drugging, and raping two of his multiple sexual assault victims. For the Kutchers to write hyperbolic character letters, after his conviction, that made a mockery of their 'bestie's' crimes; it was reprehensible, disgusting, and unacceptable! Thanks for sharing this story; unfortunately, Masterson must have forgotten that he personally admitted to Scientology staff that he drugged, and raped another Scientologist, and wrote her a cheque for $400,000 US! If you want a twisted darker side to this situation you'll be stunned by this.
When the 70s Show (which made them all celebrities) was still being filmed and the network ratings were high, another far more serious court case took place which involved Ashton Kutcher this time.
You will find the details easily enough with a quick search. This was when Ashton's popularity was busy rising and he knew the news of his then girlfriend being brutally murdered and he was placed at the crime scene could end his career.
That's where the lies began and the rest of the cast covering as his alibi, finding the body then leaving to go to a party.
How the serial killer Michael Gargiulo evaded arrest due to his Ashton's presence at the crime scene.
Sure you'll be amazed at how this huge story never saw the light of day.
