Hi! I'm trying out the timelapse function on my phone to film a speed painting, I hope you enjoy watching me paint this snow scene. These types of scenes are my favourites at the moment: woodland scenes, misty and full of atmosphere, evoking places like the South Downs near my home at this time of year, cold and crisp as the sun rises and drives off the morning mist.
If you enjoyed this, please give it a thumbs up and it would be wonderful if you subscribed to my channel where I share my journey as I learn to paint with watercolour! :-)
    Materials:
Millford cold pressed paper, 15" by 11", 140lb/300g
Brushes: medium hake, small riggers, small squirrel mop
Paints: Winsor & Newton Cotman student quality tube paints in ultramarine blue, prussian blue, raw sienna, burnt sienna and paynes grey.

Edo Hannema Watercolour Art hahaha! I like time lapse as I can feel less inhibited or self conscious and just paint freely

I’m working my way through all your videos Lois and loving them. This one gave me good ideas on putting trees on hillocks instead of on the flat. Thank you.

Thanks so much, I really enjoyed painting this, I thought I'd lost it about halfway through but it came together in the end, thank goodness!

Great painting, now can we see the loooong version with your calm narration?

I don't think so Derek, I use my phone to film these videos and this was an experiment with the time lapse setting. Sadly I think that what's filmed in Time Lapse stays in Time Lapse... I'll look into it online, you never know. If not, never fear!!! I'll paint a similar narrated one very soon :-)

How long did this take you in real time?

Hi Naomi, it took me about 15 to 20 minutes in real time, not including drying time between stages :-)
