A Spherical Panorama would have been nice to see I am interested to see how the drone fills in the sky
This is a very nice product, with attractive incremental improvements over the Air 2S. I would get one without thinking for real estate video, but the real estate market is so depressed and crappy that it's not worth the cost to me at the moment. Maybe by the time the 3S comes out the market will have improved.

Excellent tutorial, thank you. Question: what Gain & Expo settings are used by the Air 3 with the Intelligent Flight Modes (i.e. FocusTrack, QuickShots, MasterShots, Waypoint Flight)?
Does it use the Remote's Flight Mode Settings whatever may be selected for the flight (Cine, Normal or Sport), or does it use other settings?

How can I use a course lock doing video? I can't find the option that I had on Phantom 4 pro
I am disappointed that quickshots doesn’t allow a distance setting for circle and spiral and boomerang. I am also disappointed it doesn’t have flay away (sticks down); rocket is more basic than that.
Is there any chance you will be over viewing the new m350 rtk?
In quickshot modes, are the sensors disabled ?
Hi Russ, I've been using DJI Mavic Air for over 4 years now, not that I used it extensively over the years but enough. I feel that with putting new propellers on, it gets more wobbly than it used to be in windy situation. So I came across your video, trying to decide and get recommendations for which should be my new drone. Please advice if you think DJI AIR 3 MINI (for price reasons) should do a job for a DJI Mavic Air user.

I will be purchasing my Air 3 soon. I was told the Fly More cable system is very slow when charging batteries. Do you suggest buying a 65w charging module?
Get the 65 watt charger I got a 100 watt and the batty charged in 30min however im in research if 100 watts wit damage the after repeated use.
Great video but I do want to correct you on the obstacle avoidance system. What DJI says in marketing is much different than what is said in their instruction manual. The 360 omnidirectional system, according to the manual, does not include side or top view avoidance. So if the drone is strafing, it will run right into obstacles. I found this out the hard way.

We have seen several videos comparing the DJI Air 3 with the Air 2s and it's apparent that the image quality has been improved. It would be interesting to see a comparison with the Autel Evo Lite+, mostly focused on the photo/video quality rather than the features and automations

Absolutely!
Can you move from your position and still perform the quickshot modes?
Yes, except for when the drone gets far away, it may lose focus of you.
Does the DJI Air 3 Camera rotate straight down like the Mini 3 Pro does??????
Unfortunately no. We haven't seen that feature on a larger drone since the Mavic Pro. I would love to see this feature return.
What do you mean? It goes straight down. 🤷🏻♂️
@@51Drones I believe he's referring to the 90-degree camera rotation in the coronal plane, i.e., portrait mode...but maybe I misunderstood the question. Seems like all DJI drones have been able to point straight down for many years, but the Mini 3 Pro was the first since the Mavic Pro to have the ability to physically rotate the camera itself around the front-to-back axis.

@@StartLivingNow1963 All current DJI drones can angle the gimbal and point the camera down at the ground. Are you talking about rotating the camera 90 degrees into portrait mode?
Why have none of the usual vloggers of DJI stuff not alluded to the fact that in bypass mode for OA that the Air 3 (as well as the Mavic 3 apparently) will violently jump sideways with even the slightest of inputs from the controller, in ANY mode. My Air3 is back at DJI at this very moment.
I saw another video where they turned off BYPASS and switched to BRAKE in the obstacle avoidance section on the controller and it stopped making those jerky movements. I don’t have an Air3 so I cannot confirm, but the video showed that it worked perfectly.
@@gerrykp I’ve just received word that a brand new replacement will be here tomorrow. DJI are going to look into the possibility of changing the values when in bypass mode to calm things down. I’ve never used bypass as this is the first DJI drone I’ve had with all round obsolete avoidance.
So what is the point of using it if it makes the drone (imho) dangerous?
This was the topic of conversation today with them.

I've tracked my Air 3 successfully with DroneScanner.
Cloud behind you looks promising for a funnel cloud. That one is still on my drone filming wish list as long as it doesn't put anyone in danger!
So is it possible to take a frame from a video to make a picture?
most video editing software will do this. Keep in mind though, that most video frames are shot at a slower shutter speed to create the blur you want to see in motion video while stills are typically shot at faster shutter speeds when motion is involved. So there could be a little motion blur if your subject or camera is moving in the footage you want to try this with.
