It's down to common sense, if you don't think it's a good idea to fly then don't fly. It's pretty simple to me.
Further proof that common sense isn't so common anymore.
Also remove battery as soon as you land, to cool down drone and battery.
I'm out flying every day here in South Central Texas for work. I mostly fly 7am-1pm. But I sit in the passenger side of my SUV while my wife drives power pole to power pole, keeping my drone within VLOS.
I also like the Portable fans

Here in SW Phoenix you can count on ambient temps being above 105 degrees F or higher daily all summer. This summer has been warmer for sure, we are enjoying temps of 110-122. I fly in the desert often, so I keep a frozen cooler pack in my drone hard case, to keep the batteries cool and to help the cool down after I'm done.
One thing I do is the day before I fly I start drinking electrolyte drinks that night. I also drink them on the day I fly and I have noticed I function better and I don't feel wrecked afterwards from dehydration. I follow the rule I learned in the military and force myself to drink 12-16 oz. of fluid every hour (Min). There are a couple of signs you can look for to prevent heat exhaustion/heat stroke. If you stop urinating and or your urine is cloudy or dark can be good indications you are becoming dehydrated.
I'm not necessarily enjoying the PHX heat. What kind of drone do you fly and what time of day?
@@stephensteger374 I have a Mini 3, and normally will fly in the mornings, late afternoon, or after dark when it's not too bad. The heat for sure affects the flight time, but I have not had any issues with swelling batteries or any flight issues. I try to keep the drone moving to provide some airflow but it still gets pretty warm upon return.
I also keep a freezer pack in the bottom of my hard case to help cool things down after a flight. I don't let things get too cool as I fear there could be condensation from breaking out a cold battery into the intense heat. I normally blow out the drone body and motors with compressed air to clear any dust etc.
Ok, i expected a lot of drone-related tech in your store. I did not expect the Aputure B7C light. I did not know that there were LED light bulbs that had batteries. Power goes out you still have light. I am sure you got it because you could dim it without flickering but could unscrew it an walk around the house with it. I love it.

I believe you have missed an important safety aspect concerning density altitude.Heat and humidity are the nain drivers in this condition.Higher density altitude affects not only winged aircraft , but drones as well.More power required at higher altitude.
Altitude of my area is aprox.3000 ft (900m) above sea level.Density altitude has been at 6000 ft.plus on some days.As responsible pilots I believe we need to acknowledge ALL environmental effects on our aircraft.

I so much prefer the Firehouse drone strobe light to the LumaCube product. My initial purchase was the LumaCube, but after several issues with it turning on accidentally in my drone bag, I switched to the Firehouse model and never looked back. Great video as always and thanks for the advice. For the contest I have the SYMIK case for my dji mavic 3 and I love it. I fly on hot days and don't seem to have a problem but the sun can play tricks on your eyes also and heat exhaustion is a very real thing and it can ruin your day and your weekend. The charging docking station looks like a must - have. I can only fly at sunrise because of the extreme heat in the Imperial Valley El Centro CA . Personal air conditioning could be a game changer out here in the 150 feet below sea level desert .
The DJ 500w portable power station looks really nice to charge drones on the go
In addition to flying VLOS and just as important is NOT flying, if you don't have 3 statute miles of visibility. In most of the situations you described, you wouldn't leave the ground because of this. Great Video as always Russ. 👍🏽

One of my favorite Items that you have listed in your store is the Sandisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD for backing up my drone and action camera footage. I have 2 of these and love them.
This personal cooling fan sounds awesome btw.
If it's smokey you need to triple check to make sure there is not a TFR due to wildfire. Even if there isn't yet, there may be soon and if a spotter plane mapping a fire sees your drone it could resulting in grounding of responding aircraft.
My favorite thing in your list is the DJI Mini 4 Pro. I own one and love it.
The WASOTO gloves look pretty cool. Living in MI may hands are often cold in the winter.

Excellent advice. I just had 2 flights recently in Nebraska. On a Friday it was 104 degrees and Saturday was 105.
I'd love one of those but I'm just starting out and don't have huge funds yet.

You have so many great products listed on Amazon it's hard to pick just one. The one item I did purchase based on one of your recommendations is the Symik two-layer hard case for my M4P. It is way better than any of the other cases I've purchased in the past. I'm about to order a couple more items from your list right now. Such as the Firehouse Strobe and another Sandisk sd card. Searched your storefront. I got my Part 107 in June. I would love a Mini 4 because of its ability to have a preprogrammed route via waypoints laid in. I use my drone from my boat so the waypoint feature would be very useful.
The wasoto heated gloves, got them for my wife as her hands are forever cold in the winter!
7:52 I start cooling my batteries as soon as flight is over with fans. Ecoflow goes in the field with me. DO NOT PUT IN FRIDGE!😂😂😂😂

I was flying this morning in 75 degree weather and my Samsung s24 ultra started to heat up and the screen was real dim. I guess it's not just an I-phone issue. I also took the cover off before I started flying . Not sure if there are any settings I could change to help with the heat. I like the VCUTECH Drone RC Tablet Holder. I would like to try flying with my Samsung s7 tablet. The heated gloves would be nice to here in MN in a few months. Thanks for the videos, a lot of good information for a new flyer like myself.

Great Video Russ. Very informative. I live in central California and my summers are always on the very hot side. In my experiences, I have never had a drone over heat. It’s usually me that quits first. lol.

In your opinion, what temp is too COLD to fly a DJI Air 3?

Those heater gloves I have! I did vine so I got a few pairs of different brands. They are great!
Probably the best things ive got on Vine that I wouldn’t have tried without it being free is this LG vacuum I have which I’ve been using for 3 years now no problems
And the 2nd item is my Bidet Toto toilet. I’ll never not use mine after having it. No not sitting on a cold toilet seat during the winter and it also has a cool feature.
That neck cooler would be great. I live in Tennessee it’s muggy here with the high humidity. It feels like being in a Tent left in the sun lol. Any way to stay cool would be nice.
I bail out of the extreme hot conditions long before it is hot enough to have any negative impact on my Air 3. Just too old to torture myself in the 100 degree temps with the humidity in the 50-60% range as well. Definitely a fair weather flyer!
