Hi Penny! A while ago we chat about canvasses and flimsiness. I bought a expensive canvas from evershine and it is flimsy, so i bought another one for half the price by Homhol and it is awfull! I started in November with a Snow leopard for my sisters birthday in April this year. 60 x 80cm. It is not really sticky and the canvas is not flat but have waves in the canvas. I am to far to start over. I have to seal it when i finished and i have to glue it on the board of the photo frame. The drills are not popping but fall off of anyway. I will never buy a canvas from Homhol againβ¦.it seems you are lucky to get a better oneβ¦..
Ooof, yes I remember our conversation - was it poured glue or double sided? My original double sided was super sticky, I've just started to work on Paisley which is my poured glue canvas so not sure how good it is as I've only done a tiny bit in the corner, it seems ok but time will tell. I had pretty much made up my mind not to use Homhol again after they folded my canvas last time, despite me requesting them not to, but you've cemented that decision with your sticky canvas issues.
Did you mean EverShine or EverMoment? They are two different companies, I've never heard of people calling EverMoment's canvas's flimsy before (they are along the lines of the premium canvas's like Dreamer Designs, DAC and Diamond Art Studio, you know, with the soft fluffy backs), so I just want to check we're talking about the same company.
As an aside, I've noticed that for all companies on Ali Express, canvas's that have a shortest edge of 60cm the price tends to leap up dramatically - I was told this was due to shipping as tubes that length and larger need to be mailed a different way. So if prices are getting expensive and you don't mind piecing things together, it might be worthwhile looking to see if you can buy smaller canvas's and sticking them together afterwards, even for smaller projects.
@@PebblezDiamondPainting I have a expensive one poured glue 80 x 120cm. Rolled up, from Evershine official store and it was 60 euro. I donβt know how sticky it is but this one is soft, but flimsy. The other one i work on is from Homhol official store and came rolled up and folded, was 30 euro but is flimsy, poured glue not sticky and wavy. It looks the canvas is stretched out in some places, really weird. For me it seems not a good idea to buy smal ones to stick them together, i think thatβs verry hard to apply. The next time i try to buy canvas with sticky tape, for me they are way better. I can easily get rid of the ridges and bubbles if they appear. I hope the canvas from Evershine is better. The price for a canvas from Evermoment is ridiculous! It costs me more then 75 euro!! I have to search for another companyβ¦.
