Loved Fashion Dreamer but agree with your points. A story mode or career mode of some sort would’ve been amazing. The story was my favorite aspect of Style Savvy. Also wish we had more sorting filters for finding clothes. Would love to filter stuff like color, pattern, style, etc. rather than just tops, bottoms, shoes, etc.

I felt the same way about fashion dreamer. The clothes are great but it feels very hollow. I’d be more satisfied if it was like $20 or less but for $50 I wish there was more to the game. A story would help a lot
Felt the same.. I got and then regretted it because it didn’t hold my interest…. It’s cute but after while I got bored doing the same over and over again… needs a story or some purpose.

Saaaame. But I'm waiting until development has completely finished. I heard there are still loads of features missings and when i play i want to have the full experience of the game😊
I've been longing to play Coral Island for the past year, but held off as unfinished games are somewhat frustrating for me to experience. And so I resolved to wait for 1.0, eager at last to tuck into the delights it had to offer... Only to find out it still wasn't finished! :( Looks like I'll be waiting another year. Thank you Payton for mentioning what in 1.0 doesn't feel complete, I had been tempted regardless to pick it up but my mind is made up now. Next year, for sure!
I LOVED style savvy. I’m still bitter they haven’t brought it to the Switch.
I hope you're healing and taking care of yourself before/during/after your surgery!!! 🧡 I've been putting a huge dent into Coral Island just to get back to where I was in Early Access, but I'm so happy I'm not the only one who feels like it still feels super uninished. Still great - but definitely a little less complete than I would expect from a 1.0 release. Your videos have become some of my favorite comfy content, thanks girlie 💕

I just discovered your channel recently (I've watched two videos), thanks for the content! But also, good luck with your endo surgery and recovery! I've been going through the process of figuring some of that stuff out recently for myself so I know, albeit second-hand, what the healing process is like. Loddlenaut has been my absolute go-to this month! The progression was pleasant and easy to manage, the environment was cozy and vibrant, and the loddles are to die for! 💜
I recently picked up a PS5, and one of the big reasons was to play certain games that either wouldn't be available on Switch for a while or were performing poorly on it. Coral Island and Sandrock in particular are on that list for me. I'm really hoping that Sandrock specifically looks and runs better on Playstation than it does on Switch.
Sandrock runs great on the PS5! I feel bad for everyone who has it on the switch, though, because it's such a good game.
Add Paleo pines to that list, really good game. Runs like absolute shit on Switch and is unplayable on it

Love Coral island. I'm looking forward to the future of this game. Yes I agree with you con list but I think they also need to fix the ore drop, monster drop rate and spawns in the mines. I really hope they add more to the pet content as well. All in all I will continue to play
Coral island is on my list to play but last month, and probably all of this month too, I’ve just been dedicating all of my game time to playing Spirittea and Cozy Grove. I’m looking forward to the winter event in Cozy Grove.
If I were doing this it would just be Coral Island. I totally agree about saving though. In Fae Farm, when I was finishing up playing I would start a new day and do all my daily chores so that when I started playing next time I could just get going.
Style Savvy is also my favorite ds game of all time. I would love to find another game like that and what I loved about style savvy was the story and that there were things that didn’t involve fashion as well

I love My Time At Sandrock, although I've played it on the PC, not on the switch. Sorry to hear that you've run into so many problems with it on the Switch, but with the limited hardware/RAM capabilities of the Switch, I'm not surprised that a game like MTAS doesn't perform well in that environment. With the last big update, I decided to start a new game and this time instead of focusing more on the commissions and questline, I'm focusing on the social aspect. The game can be a bit overwhelming at times because there are so many quests and side-quests to complete! I missed out on the free horse for a week because I missed Elsie's "Learn to ride" quest (I didn't realize it had a timer and it disappeared before I got around to it), but I've made much more progress with the social progression than I did in my previous games. I have a LOT to do before the end-game, and I'm trying not to rush things. I haven't played Coral Island yet because I'm waiting for the 2024 update in hopes it will be more complete! I kind of want to try Fashion Dreamer, I really enjoy fashion designs because I find it fun and I really enjoyed my universe: Fashion Design because it lets me express myself and I don’t have to worry about colours not matching and such. But Fashion Dreamer looks cute and I might add it to my Christmas list

Coral Island is not perfect with the 1.0 release and I have my fair share of issues with the game but I love how immersive the world feels and that alone, makes it one of my top games of 2023.

Hey, I have stage 4 endometriosis too!!! (Or it might be stage 3. I think it's stage 4 though.) I had to have my uterus removed because of it and the doctors told me at any time I could also lose my ovaries. I'm so sorry you have to go through that. You're very strong and I hope you're recovering well from your surgery.

I was so excited for Fashion Dreamer. I’ve heard so many opinions that I’m just gonna wait for the updates to get it. In the meantime I think I’m gonna try one of the style savvy games.

Hope you're doing well in recovery, and it seems that any and all Coral Island NPC's just won't marry in winter is the big part! Maybe the wedding scenes were made only for spring/summer/fall, but it's a feature to not get married in winter not a bug afaik lol.
I have too many games i still have to play but i still enjoy this kind of content 😅

I'm currently playing Coral Island and I can say so far is my favorite game and even though if feels unfinished that's the beauti of it, there will be more coming, more to look foward to, I loved animal crossing and hokkos life but they got to a point where is done nothing else to do and no more updates which it was a bummer. The game on the Xbox pass have a few bugs and if you donate to the museum your game crashes but there is still so much to do. I l'm really enjoying all of it.
I hadn't looked into Loddlenaut much but this has sold me!! I love the 'clean the environment' Cozy games like I Am Future and No Place Like Home so it's now on the wishlist

Honestly was so excited to play My time at Portia but made the mistake of getting that on Switch instead of PC so it seems like it's a series thing :( It was still playable but there was a lot of delay and glitching and crashing when I played and I didn't find it worth it to try for long. Would love to see what it's like on the PC one day and will definitely be getting the sequal on PC if I play it. Amazing video!!!
Yeah, the switch version was rough, but Sandrock on PC is so good!
Keep forgetting about Fashion Dreamer, when I remember it I read reviews and comments on trailer then remember why i'm waiting for a decent discount or a cheap ish secondhand copy

Despite a lot of hate for Fashion Dreamer and a lot of bad opinions, I decided to buy this game, and I managed to buy it in the box version at a promotional price. The game was a positive surprise for me, despite everything it's a very enjoyable game, and the upcoming updates also gives me hope that the game will improve. I like the online mode the most!! I think it's worth giving it a chance when there are some promos.
I play My Time at Sandrock on the Steam Deck and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend. I don’t have any issues that way so I’d definitely say play on PC or Steamdeck for a good experience

I played Sandrock on the Xbox. It wasn't too bad when it came to loading in lag, the occasional freeze when you start a new day, but nothing game breaking. The "worst" was when the ai got dumb and decided to walk someone into a wall every time I passed by. Of course there was always the "cut scenes" where a voice was coming from thin air because the character wasn't there. It's not really an AAA title but more of an A title or a B+ on a bad day. Though for my Fang I'd put up with all of this.

Is Coral Island fixed camera? If not can you invert both x and y camera axis?
I was hoping for Fashion Dreamer to fill the fashion hole in Switch games but seeing all the reviews made me realize that it just doesn't do the trick. I'd love for something like my fave fashion game, Love Nikki, to be turned into a Switch game. But I guess I'll be waiting along with everyone else 😅
Same, I got it and was very let down! Just Purley dress up it is fun but you can play dress up games online for free 😅 I would feel better recommending it if nintendo had a returns policy/ trail period. But yeah wait for now maybe updates will come or maybe someone will come out with a style savy on the switch.

Have to disagree with you on My Time at Sandrock. I find it far more enjoyable than Coral Island. Coral Island feels far more grindy than MTaS. I can't speak to the Switch issues, but on PC, I did still hit a major bug that cost me 40 hours of gameplay when my save file got corrupted because of the bug. On the whole though, I haven't minded replaying it though.
All that said, I far more enjoyed MTaP than say Stardew Valley so maybe it is just my playstyle that causes my opinion. However my romance in MTaS feels 1000 times better than what I am getting in Coral Island.
Now let me state that I enjoy both games a lot, just prefer MTaS more.

I've played over 100 hours of My Time at Sandrock on switch. I totally disagree that it is unplayable. Sure it's not as polished as the pc version, but that's because it was made first and foremost for the pc. The switch with its hardware limitations was never going to compare and that's okay. I'm not picky about fps and waiting times (Portia was longer!) as I feel too many people are! MTAS is very enjoyable and playable for me as I think it will be for a lot of people who don't have the means to play it any other way. The characters are great, the story is great so far and I did enjoy the grind sometimes (which is why I love the undead legacy mod on 7 days to die - not a cozy game at all though). I did like the mining in Portia better though.
Coral Island on the other hand is a bit meh. I don't have the incidentive to interact with the npcs and most of them I don't care for anyway (I loathe Mark!) I think I'll wait to play it more. Afterall I have the new Dinkum update to play as well as Lens Island.

i think coral island has so much potential, but they launched 1.0 when their original roadmap still has so many features that didn't make it to 1.0. i'm just going to wait for when the game is actually 1.0.

To be honest, I was disappointed with Fashion Dreamer. The main story should have taken much longer to beat, but I think it's because I miss the Style Savvy games they made for the 3DS. I expected some characters to have personalities and some backstory.

I have only played coral island
I heard that humbles parent company rushed release and fired the two main people in charge of release the day before for coral. So I’m not surprised it feels unfinished tbh which is so sad bc I am really looking forward to it

I've been obsessed with Coral Island. My only complaint is you can't decorate your home. I'm playing on the PS5 and the decor menu does not work at all. When I first started playing after release the music was wonky but they updated it and it's working now. I'm hoping they will update again and fix the decor menu. Otherwise, it's an amazing game.
Can you buy something from Ben's, go home, select it and place it down, decorating that way? Sorry if that doesn't even work and Ben's is limited.

The gender locked outfits really ruined fashion dreamer for me
Having multiple cons for all games except the one you got a free key for seems a bit weird. Especially since it has the same issue as the first one. No story, and repetitive gameplay. I can not take that review seriously because of that and the fact you said the game looks great while I'm looking at graphics that are barely good enough for mobile. Let alone steam. We do not appreciate getting lied to, and so obviously at that. Disappointed in this video and you as a creator.
I had really no cons for loddlenaut because it’s simple but I found it to be very effective! I was also gifted my time at Sandrock in this video which I had mostly cons for- not sure if you just didn’t watch the whole video. I think I was very critical of it.
If you’re questioning my authenticity definitely go check my latest video where I ranked every single game I played this year (75 games) most of which were gifted to me and there were games I really did not like and straight up said it.
