The fire brigades of the cities of Dortmund and Castrop-Rauxel were busy extinguishing the fire until late into the night.
Already on 25.01.2019 facade parts had burned on the area.
It was not until Sunday that the boiler house, chimney and cooling tower were spectacularly blown up in the EON power plant, which was shut down in 2014. The entire site, on which a logistics park is to be developed, is currently being dismantled.

Warum wird der Abrissbager nicht mit eingebunden der bekanntlich auch eine Wasserversorgung an der Zange hat ?
Zudem kann man auch noch zusätzlich die Bereiche mit dem Bagger aufreißen wo die Feuerwehr nicht ran kommt !
Man könnte ja auch ein Kontrolliertes Abbrennen vornehmen da die Anlage sowieso zum Abriss freigegeben ist !
so wie der da steht wurde es versucht aber denke das feuer breitete sich so schnell aus das sie aufgegeben haben und das der feuerwehr überlassen haben
Frage mich was da noch so stark brennen kann ,ist doch nur ein Metallgerüst,sieht aber aus als wenn da irgendwelches Gas noch entweicht ?
Restöl / brennbare Flüssigkeiten die noch in Leitungen u Tanks sind, Kabel, alles ist mit Farbe beschichtet, Kabel .... usw... offenbar gibt es genug
Genau, Kunstoffe usw. Durch die große Hitze werden diese teilweise gasförmig ("pyrolyse") daher sieht es tatsächlich so aus als würde emtweichendes Gas brennen also genau das passiert ja auch :)

Wunderschöne Feinstaubwolke. Absolut harmlos. Die Feuerwehrsprecher hat keine Ahnung was da eigentlich brennt.
Es heißt doch zu 99% Keine Gefahr für die Bevölkerung 😂😂😂
