No no, this is literally me. Last month i got bored killing enemies too quickly with xiao and was sad i didn't get hu tao for abyss. So in an impulsive moment i built a dps barbara since i got sick of getting bad VV arts yet godly maiden sets. In the end barbruh had 50 crit rate with 218% crit dmg. Slapped with an r3 widsith, and she hits 25k/charge without any buffs. And i was honestly very impressed yet sad since my healer hits more than my 2 dps.

BTW: AFAIK, the clam set does most damage when you use it on Barbara. It does additional damage for you healing and Barbara is capable of reviving a character to full health even if he's got 50000 HP. One Boss killed a character of mine, Barbara brought him back and a bubble popped and the Boss dropped dead!
Not a surprise tbh. I mean its going to be a huge surprise to anyone who keeps meme-ing DPS Barbara cuz they are clueless of how powerful vaporize/melt reaction is in this game. Barbara's entire kit is for healing but people love to gloss over the fact that she is a hydro catalyst which means she can constantly proc vaporize. Y'all are laughing at Barbara now but when we have a Pyro Xingqiu character in the future, DPS Barbara is going to be a thing.

Story time, was sad at not getting hu tao, so in a moment of impulsiveness, i've Been building a dps barbruh for a month. I got her an r3 widsith, godly maiden 2 piece set, and 2 godly gladiator set. (still farming for better hydro ones) Her talent level is still 7, but she got 50% crit rate and 218 % crit dmg. Without weapon buff, her charge could do 8k-15k max. With weapon buff she could do 24-26k crit. With party buff of bennet and vaporize she does 28-33k. Added zhongli and c4 xinqiu, she does around 40k crit. Then i switched xinqiu to a slightly build sucrose, and barbruh now does 45k-50k. Imagine if i used food buffs and maxed build my other supports. This has been a journey raising her and I'm not regretting it cuz it's fun, even though it's painful as an F2P player, I'm somehow proud that my barbara can beat a random coop Diluc in terms of dmg.

but it's never easy to make barbara a dps because its a lot of pain.
Of course, Barbara can be a DPS. She is a Hydro Catalyst which means she can constantly proc vaporize. Vaporize and melt are way too OP in this game.
