The energy in the room was so great, I brought my friends who had a very casual view and experience of league and it was like watching kids at Disneyland how awestruck they were
This is what the LCS needs. Not international success, but just teams we can root for domestically. Im a die-hard C9 fan since their inception, but Im also a fan of the LCS and I dont want to see our league be bogged down by all the outside noise. I dont care what people who dont watch LCS think of our league. But I dont want our domestic fans to feel the same way. Hopefully NRG's story creates new fans. Even though my team lost, Im more than fine with the result. This is honestly the best outcome for the health of the LCS.
LCS needed a team like this that looks at the game differently. Challenges the narrative of NA teams playing slowly. They earned a fan here. 🏆I hope they take some games in worlds and do NA proud.
@@falsearbitrator2560the last time C9 did anything at Worlds was 2018 and they seem to always get gapped during international events. Even at MSI Golden Guardians did better against international teams. NRG is gives us hope
They only 'earn a fan' when they became champions. Lol. You just bandwagon for a champion. If you truly care about playstyle, you'd root for them ages ago. Fake as s.
@@royloh87 and yet they still are the only the only chance NA has. C9 playing well is the only team that has a chance to make it out of groups, even if that chance is like 10%
This was so so so amazing to be in the arena for. LCS needed this win from NRG more than I could have thought. So excited for Worlds, so excited for next split.
I don’t know who that guy was at 10:30, but he is preaching the truth. Many people today believe that fudge is a meal and dhokla is a snack, but they are mistaken, it’s the other way around. We need more young people to stand up for important social issues like this. That guy also looks very macho, he must do rock climbing.
God damn dude its so frustrating that LCS is losing viewership because the product itself is better than ever before. This season was amazing production-wise and all of the people behind-the-scenes should be proud at what they've accomplished.
Dude Contractz looked SICK pre-games 1/2 and as soon as that second game started it was calm focus. Congratulations bois, love to see an underdog crush a giant.
Love seeing NRG's rise to the top, as well as Contractz growth as a player and a human, there's a level of calmness emanating from him that really gives a sense of the 'these boys are actually going to take games at worlds' sort of copium. Also, huge props to the creative director/producer and editor's of this, genuinely great piece of content.
As a long LCS AND CLOUD 9 STAND! I HAVE to say the 3peat would have been the best historical achievement, but in my heart i wanted NRG to beat goliath to complete THE ANIMIE ARC and c9 was the villans in this documentary
Unbelievably well made video. Perfectly captures Contracts story, the flow of the series, the narrative surrounding the finals and the player experience. Well fucking done LCS.
Okay straight up wish I could have a world where Contractz and Blaber win. Overall I think this is good for the league. C9 won’t be the villains as much and they can have a redemption arc.
I switched from AT&T Fiber to Spectrum Fiber because of NRG's finals victory btw. clearly Spectrum is better than AT&T as you can see here in this video. also it saved me like $60 cause i combo it with my wireless plans too.
I really don't think they "wanted" it as much as they "expected" it. This was the first seed Cloud9 coming off two back to back titles, playing a team who they had already 3-0'd vs a team whose largest accomplishment to this point was taking c9 to 5 games in Spring of this year. This was a massive upset, probably the largest in LCS finals history.
One of the best finals in LCS history! I was so lucky to be there in person, the hype was unreal.
The energy in the room was so great, I brought my friends who had a very casual view and experience of league and it was like watching kids at Disneyland how awestruck they were

They won't. At the end of the day while c9 doesn't deserve our hope. They are still the only chance
@@falsearbitrator2560the last time C9 did anything at Worlds was 2018 and they seem to always get gapped during international events. Even at MSI Golden Guardians did better against international teams. NRG is gives us hope
C9 will give you false hope.
This year they haven’t improved at all. They are a domestic focused team

HOLY DAMN WHY AM I BAWLING. Loving the drive and attitude from NRG. Contractz stepping up and leading his boys home 💪
That parallel shot of walking on as C9 Contractz vs NRG Contractz at 1:18 ❤
Damn... the "DRIVE: Contractz" link at the end. I remember watching that one last time CLG came around to finals. So glad he got it this time!
So happy for Contractz!

They change they name, but the heart of CLG keeps going i love it, always teamwork never give up
Contractz mental after losing that first game. Is just on another level! Well deserved and congratz to nrg
This was the most fun LCS final in years. NRG is a great team.
This was the first live event I ever went to, and man, did it deliver.

So much this!! I couldn't agree more!
Contractz is the main character for real
That end game call from flowers + seeing contractz reaction gave me goosebumps. Such an awesome story
A tier story, A tier peoduction, A tier NRG
Top tier content, LCS. Congratulations NRG!! What a finals that was... I'm so happy for Contractz and the whole NRG squad!
I needed this. Perfect bow to wrap up this gift of a season we've had this year.
Dude Contractz looked SICK pre-games 1/2 and as soon as that second game started it was calm focus. Congratulations bois, love to see an underdog crush a giant.
2:06 this dude came from the future to tell us about the game
One of the best Eyes On I have watched!
great content, love this type of video
Made me cry all over again, so happy for NRG

contractz going to finals when he was 17 is wild, when i was 17 i was just some high school kid working a garbage retail job lol
Lezzgo Contractz
Oh man, C9 Impact, Contractz brings back so many memories. That was the "Sword and Shield" era with Ray and Impact (If I remember correctly)
The music at 8:11 got me pumped
Great Video especially on Contractz's birthday! 🎉
idk what it is with this one but it gives u the feels good shit to NRG
👍👍👍
Spicy 3-1 NRG prediction 😜
NRG winning is a good for the LCS
That sigh of relief as Contractz hoist the trophy up, thats such an awesome moment
“I think this is fkn free” - Zven 2023
Zven trash talks never age well
always a c9 fan, but always a contractz fan. Unlucky to lose, but happy to see him succeed after so long
banger video! let’s go NRG!
CONTRACTZ MAIN CHARACTER
Bro, you still a young kid! Stop making me feel like a fossil!

Every time the observers would show Dhokla when he would lose. Now he gets to show them the reaction of a Champion
This is awesome

GO NRG
Subvert expectations.

Okay straight up wish I could have a world where Contractz and Blaber win. Overall I think this is good for the league. C9 won’t be the villains as much and they can have a redemption arc.
This hits so fucking hard after they shat on G2

great vid
Choke9 is back baby!!
FBI finally beating C9 in a GF 😢
Contractz got dimples deeper than the Grand Canyon
SHIVERS
This is so much better that whatever LEC is producing lately
Yeah, LEC kinda trash tier this year
One of my favorite finals to ever watch. True anime shit right here
I count this as one last championship for CLG
just putting this comment here to see if the eyes on curse takes hold of NRG now in worlds
Im calling it rn, nrg wworlds champs. This year. 2023.
cool
NRG reminds me of heretics.
9:45
RIP NRG at Worlds. The Eyes On Curse takes another victim. Unless The Eyes On Curse counteracts the First Seed Curse. Does two negatives = a positive?
The hungry want it more. And it shows.
The casters really wanted C9 to win 😆 😆 It was funny they were so obvious
not kobe. He's always been a clg fan since he was a clg player before
