Welcome to the longest summer toboggan run in Switzerland (as advertised on the official website)! Ticket price for this ride is just 8 CHF (adult).
Zoom through steep curves, dragon dens and over jumps. At 1,350 meters the Fräkigaudi on the Fräkmüntegg is the longest summer toboggan run in Switzerland. The spectacular run begins near the Fräkmüntegg mountain station.
Whether you are dashing down to the valley station or leaning back to enjoy the ride - everyone determines their own speed. Enjoy the fantastic alpine views while being taken back to the start-house by the lift.
Please note that for safety reasons, neither backpacks nor bags are allowed to be carried on the summer toboggan run! But, you can keep your backpack or small bag at the valley or mountain station.

The view which I am don't understand that by boat soil to but seeing only green green grass little street almost all high to mountians and field forest growing the park trees
I’d get so pissed off if I got stuck behind someone who was crawling down the mountain like that lady in black.

there will always be the one person going on it and then goes superslow.... Like why are you even on this !?
This pissed me off most when I was at plosa Coo In Belgium, I don't know if they still have it but they have 2 tracks going down and af the top, one is labeled as the fast track and the other as the slower track, referring to your own ride preference. So the people that wanne go slow can take the 'slow' track.
How ever, when I took the fast track, not even half way down, I was behind someone crawling down cause she thought it was going to fast and we even got passed by people on the 'slow' track. 🙄
That babosa was going so slow, I grew my beard while I watched this vid.

@@AKSense Vancouver's Grouse mountain installed a toboggan track once. The operators were so plagued with people demanding a second free trip due to terrified slowpokes ruining their ride that they gave up and took it down. I don't know how successful tracks handle the problem.

That person in Black: There should be a overhead hook to yank them off the track. Do the people behind get a re-run or re-fund? I would be very pissed to have to wait for them to creep slowly down the course!!

I pay the munee, I go speed I like get good value shut-up big eyes.
That does suck, they should space the riders apart better or have a sensor halfway down at least. I get some parents might want to go slow with their kids in their laps, maybe have slow rider/ fast rider hour blocks

I have watched so many videos on Switzerland, it is my dream vacation spot. Realizing I’ll never make it there but it doesn’t hurt to dream, and in the meantime watched tons of videos on it.

I have been to Switzerland and spent a couple weeks in the alps and it truly is amazing. all you need is a few thousand dollars and you could make it there never say never. Save up and work hard to enjoy your life. say you will go there someday and it will become a reality!!! I also live in bc Canada and it is very similar to Switzerland so if you can’t make it to Switzerland come here instead

They need to ask whether you will be slow, medium, or fast and space the people behind you accordingly. They need cameras to track traffic.
There needs to be a slow lane.

We had a similar ride at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada.
There were two runs, one for beginners and one for experienced riders. Great fun.
Ride the ski lift up. Ride the cart down.
Looks like awesome fun! Right up to the point where you got behind that person who was afraid of going more than a mile or two around those curves!
This type of Transport should be commercialised. Fun, full of Air flowing through face, no traffic...

This is so cool. Last time I was there the thing was closed due to a sudden snowfall. To get there, take bus #1 (IIRC) from Luzern and get off at Kriens. The bottom station of the cable car is a short walk from there (follow the signs to Mt. Pilatus). The cable ride up is as much fun as the toboggan :-)

You determine your own speed... until you come up on someone that is scared and overly cautious, causing backups. They need to space out the riders better. Awesome scenery though.

That must be hell on a sunny day with that aluminum reflecting the light.
They should make sleds that you lay down on, on your stomach. So you feel like you're flying like Superman.
Hence the term 'break neck' speed.

Why do people go on those rides if they are afraid of speed, and then just hold everyone else up?
They could alleviate (although not eliminate) the problem of getting stuck behind a slow poke by spacing them out a little longer. The time between him and the rider in front was about 10 secs. If it was 15 secs he probably wouldn't have caught up to them until nearer to the end. Yes, I get that there's a long line, but I rather wait a little longer and get a better ride experience. I mean people wait in line for over 1 hour at Disney to go on a crappier ride than this!

Unfortunately, there is no sensor-based automatic stop.

Its absolutely safe, as you always have a BRAKE handle in your hand to control the run speed. Operation of this run is stopped during raining days. Check the weblink mentioned in the description for more information.
The swiss know how to make 4 things:
1) cheese with holes in it.
2) pocket watches
3) knives
4) Slides
Well, I went on one and I can say that if you drive slowly there's nothing that can happen but if you drive fast then you'll have to bend into the curve to prevent slamming into the curve.

A problem with long runs is slow babies. They ruin the ride for those behind them. This usually isn't a problem on shorter runs.
Not true. We have videos on short runs with very bad experiences too (haven’t posted them on our channel) 😉

The concrete or composite tracks are probably easier on your butt with all the seams on this track. Looks awesome tho. They should have some kind of spotter to let the guy up top know to hold people until the slow chicken s^%ts get down all the way. Why people that know they’re going to go slow, get on these rides, is beyond me. At least tell them to leave some room because you’re afraid of your own shadow. Hope they got to go again for free

They honestly ought to just not put brakes on these things so peoples' experience can't be ruined by others. I think at these speeds brakes are not needed. At the end they could just have high friction pads on the floor to slow you down rather than it being voluntary.
