This game is nice, but very overlooked, and the fact that they took forever to make 1.0 didn't help. New characters could help it boost its popularity.
Bruh this is an indie game, it means made by one guy (Mane6) so something you expect it's the development to be slow af, but he was able to pull out and polish a lot of stuff in-game that it deserves praising

I remember it took me forever to do the crouching tentacle-out-of-book move with Ollie. The only combos I like are B+C or crouch-whatever accompanied by a C Shadow Spark. Whenever opponents teleport or corner me I internally panic because I struggle with jumping too
Oh and did I mention I don't know how to block, stupid computer commands lol

Light drops you in front of the opponent, medium is the "nothing personnel, kid", heavy moves you away, and the magic button makes it explosive (there is a ton of end lag, so only use if you think you can catch an opponent off guard).
All versions of Ollie's teleport, unless she uses it to teleport away WHILE GROUNDED, cost 1 magic, built up by reading your book.
Also, to help a bit with those cornered situations, if you manage to block a few hits, press 2 attack buttons mid-block: You'll shove the opponent away.

I relate to the title so much.
I couldn't even do the tutorial right, had to skip some lessons so I could finish it. I fought with a player without finishing the tutorial because of a hard lesson and just got my ass kicked.
I just completed the arcade mode once and i can't seem to complete it again, i am also stuck on the Velvet's stage in story mode because of that damn tornado thing.
The game is really good, it's just that i am really bad at it.
Velvet’s stage is going to be the hardest thing in the story for a while. I only beat her cause I used keyboard to block and controller to fight and grab her with the lasso from a distance. It’s hard to deal with but you’ll be able to do it as long as you keep trying!
@@jonathangillooly9361 I think i'll try to beat her tomorrow, but honestly I was more scared of the Paprika stage because I though it would be the hardest.

i know this was intended as a joke, and i hate to be That Guy, but like. isn't arizona way too young for velvet? we don't really know velvet's canonical age, but we do know that arizona is super young, like, still a calf, so. i would personally hold off on even really joking about shipping her with the ambiguously-aged characters (aka velvet and paprika, oleander is explicitly an adult by the events of the game, and tianhuo is the captain of the imperial guard (insert spear of justice here) so she's most likely also an adult), just in case they're also adults, bc that would be super creepy
instead, consider the following: pom/arizona. they're both explicitly children, so it isn't weird, plus the dynamic of super shy but deep down pretty brave lamb and rootin' tootin' go all out cowboy calf? high quality

Is this based of a show I never heard of?
The game you see now was orginally a fanmade fighting game based on the My Little Pony cartoon. After the creators were hit witha copyright strike the game was revived with the help of the MLP creator as a full fledged original fighting game with original characters in the MLP art and humour style. There are a few documentaries floating around youtube if you want more detail.
