- Here we are, dropping off the AMX13 75mm for deactivation of the main gun by Mr Hewes. We also saved a piece of military salvage from the scrap yard.
Hi from France,45 years ago, during my military duty service,I was sent to the 2nd armoured division at the Régiment de marche du Tchad which at that period at Monthléry south of Paris.I was assigned to the workshop spare parts building and spent almost all the year furnishing parts for AMX13 of the régiment.I had once the opportinity to have a off road ride in an AMX 13 troop carrier during manoeuvers at Mailly le camp in the Champagne region,It recalls me great memories. Thanks for have care of a french Tank !
DROPS.....Another great Military invention from the early/mid 1980's. In use everywhere today especially with Waste Companies. DROPS, for those that dont know...Demountable Rack Offload and Pickup System. Good to see Mr Hewes using other peoples footage of the same item/movement. Great collaboration guys.
It's a 'dog eat dog' environment out there in the competitive world of French light tank restoration footage! LoL 😂
A handsome tank
The piece you brought along is part of the hull of a AMX 13 AFV.With a 30 caliber machinegun turret. In the early eighties i drove such vehicles in the Belgian Army.
Great video. I've been following this channel closely and just watched recently the video from MR Hewes with the AMX-13. What a cool bit of kit, especially the turret. I'm looking forward to the next update.
Very nice, thanks for sharing
That would make an awesome kid’s cubby house...
Cool
From bury near Manc???
AMX is in great condition....So why has Mr Hewes got it then!
It's off to the US. Mr Hewes is great at organising Atlantic crossings...
Is there a reason I cannot receive all notifications? It will not let me click the bell, give me an error. 😕
Is the the same vehicle that was at the Taunton Armed Forces Day in 2022?
I'm not sure it was. But happy to look if you have any pictures to identify what it was / was not!
Crains Degun does not mean canine testicule at all!!!!! Someone tricked you. It means we are not scared of anyone. It is a Southern France expression.
Hi, I was playing a joke. Haha. I used Google translate, and it said; 'Fear nothing"
