- Brunswick, Ohio -- An Officer was performing stationary radar on a street when he noticed a vehicle driving at an incredibly high rate of speed of 60 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.
Mr. Shawn Johns was issued three citations for:
Speeding
Reckless Operation
Display Of Plates
He pled guilty on all three and had to pay $355 and acquired 4 points on his license.
Officer just gave him the fatherly talking-to that he desperately needs

@@paullygolf5150 Yep. He knew the kid was going to get it even worse when he got home.

I realize 18 is young, but two years of driving experience is absolutely enough to know you can't go 60 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.

I've gotten that and +9 on highways. I got pulled over once in the middle of the night driving through a route that goes through a big state park because I rushed through a yellow. Park ranger got me going 54 in a 35; he asked the "where are you going?" Deal and its a route I take frequently. He lives in a nice suburban neighborhood with 2 story houses everywhere... I’m sure mommy will pay for it just like she did for that new car.
@Paperwing insurance looks at the tickets you get. They see 60 in a 25 in a neighborhood, they see his age, he’s easily paying $100 more per month now. With that car and his age he’s likely paying $600 a month for insurance now.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Who pissed in your Cheerios buddy?😂 you seem like you hate the world and look for something to argue about with everyone. I agree the whole suburban neighborhood thing is irrational, but you seem to have just as many issues as the guy who made that comment. Rolling your emoji eyes like what I said is totally ridiculous😂
it was a Honda, but I was referring to how new the car is. My 2012 Toyota Corolla is nearly $400 a month and I have a perfect driving record at 25, took defensive driving classes to lower insurance rates, and I have it bundled with other cars and home insurance. It would be closer to $450 without the bundle and defensive driving. His Honda looks like at least a 2016, he just bought it so likely has low mileage (thus higher value and high insurance rates), he’s 18, and just got caught going 60 in a 25, without displaying his tag. If you have literally any experience with car insurance my estimate of $600 given all factors is probably pretty accurate, maybe even low.
You’re going around playing the “you don’t know the full story card” on everyone but you’re not even making the effort to read people’s comments correctly or with any critical thinking.

Years ago, I chewed a kid out for speeding down our street and hitting/killing a neighbor's cat. At least he stopped. It was horrible. A little boy who's cat it was was crying at the side of the street and the punk driver seemed to feel bad and learned a good lesson.
That's a felony where I'm from. You could go to jail for driving like that.
The kid got lucky. He could've been arrested for driving 60 in a 25. Hope he learned his lesson.
He just thought he was playing GTA
18 years old and driving a brand new car.
Chad’s parents should have gotten him a old beater
Mine should have 2 I wrecked a new car and totaled it wen I was 17
@@bigjoesquealingjumbos6870 lucky to be alive still or not I prison for man slaughter. Glad you’re ok. Life’s too short
shoutout to that mom for not trying to justify the fact of him speeding through a neighborhood.
Odd that this is the kind of officer I’ve always encountered, polite and understanding, but no bullshit. Great
Every officer I’ve encountered been nice but I’ve never been pulled over for anything stupid except once I didn’t yield to a car but he gave me a warning. My driving record is clean insurance companies like me cops like me and I don’t speed fastest I’ve gone maybe 10 over the speed limit
Reality check for this young man. I'm sure it won't stop him. But maybe he'll think about it next time. Maybe?
@UC2il0sVCBI1gGtw6dxuegOQ bruh same. My mom woulda tore my ass up
Well he got tickets..hope he will thinks twice before spending..🤔
Mom: "I know you're nervous I can hear you peeing your pants"
That good old Mom logic not only is it true and on point almost always, it more often then not is hilarious
Where I live, if you do more than 20 over the limit its on the spot licence loss and your car gets towed. This smart ass doesnt care.
Radar says 59, not 60 officer.
Then you stand in the street in front of the kid when he hits you. Tell us if you notice the difference.
If some little kid had been on a bicycle.... forgetaboutit. He would have ended up in the Big House with the Big Boys.
He's getting some big fines, points and will be paying a lot more for insurance. This Cop WILL be in Court for this one. Too many little kids in these neighborhoods, not watching where they were going. They can't let it go.
When I go through these residential areas I go under the speed limit. Little kids are space cadets. You have to watch for them.
Cop won't show, they act like it, but they will not go. The only time they do is if someone is physically injured. Not trying to be a jerk, just telling you from experience.
@@billymccoy9155 where I'm from they schedule all the cases for the cops in the same block of days. They almost always show up.
@@RespectableRSYt What town?
Ok, but I can actually side with the kid somewhat for the needing to go to the bathroom, I've gone 10-15 over when I really needed to pee, but 60 in a 25 is a little much
That kid will forever remember that interaction & hopefully will think twice before doing it again.
Love this cop! Great job on teaching him a lesson! 💙
