StylesX2 also had a series called "The Ultimate Salt is Fake" where he shows some staged submitted clips. I would love to see Marss roast those clips!
Styles doesn't realize that many or at least some of the clips he features are fake/staged but just done so better so it's harder to tell. I mean at some point it kinda doesn't matter whether it's staged like Marss said as long as it's possible to do organically in a real game
the irony of an "Ex-Pro Smash Content Creator" saying "If i got hit with that I'd be like 'no get a job'" is unmatched

After not watching Sgt Frog for a decade, just randomly seeing his face in a Marss vid with him studying frame by frame "Is that a frog?" actually killed me 💀

At 11:15, ness magnet actually always sends pichu into tumble at any percent since it’s set knockback and pichu just happens to be the weight that allows him to go I to tumble. No other character gets out I to tumble even at 999%
Because of how light pichu is he is the only character to go into tumble when hit by psi magnet, the more you know, people keep forgetting that pichu is the lightest character in ultimate even lighter then jiggs

The Falcon did ledge cancel at 2:30. You can slip off a ledge if you autocancel an aerial. AC-ing has 4 frames of landing lag + the 3 frames of jump squat for your next aerial, whereas if you slip off you can just double jump which is frame 1. AC up-air into knee is a true combo, just very specific.
the falcon at 2:30 definitely ledge slipped you can see his double jump bubble. its cooler like that imo

A clip can be stupid and impractical without being fake is the thing. The salt is real is mostly stuff that people really _shouldn’t_ reasonably be getting hit by, but it does happen (especially when people just fish for only the silliest setups, yeah eventually it’ll work on someone) and it can be fun to see some of rarer interactions
@@MetalGearBepis styles actually checks things like the blue di line to check if the clips are real, he also checks other things, he has a series called "the ultimate salt is fake" where he shows fake submitted clips
@@robertocastro3310 the clips aren't fake as in adjusted properties, they're fake as in the vast majority are obviously 2 mfs cooperating to make a sick clip, not actual in game combos

11:12 Yep, Pichu is so light that it's the only character in the entire game that is sent into tumble from PSI-Magnet
As an ice climbers main the clip at the end made me feel bad for poor ganon
these combos are essentially the 64 combo contest at smash con

I agree with Marss that I've seen some definitely fake clips in Salt is Real, despite how he has a REALLY good filter system that he made a series on fake clips. Some people genuinely have no life and want to be a star so bad. At the same time some opponents are just actual cyborgs that don't press anything which is part of the problem. Pretty sure all the stuff Radley has done with Incineroar is legit though, as unbelievable as it looks. He probably labbed all of that out before hitting it and it legit works

Pichu is the only character that gets sent into tumble by psi magnet because he’s so light. That’s why you never see it but it’s literally better for pichu bc they can tech to escape combos

@2:30 that uair is sort of ledge cancelled. If you slide off ledge during your autocancel landing you become immediately actionable (which can make rising uair into knee true). The falcon community calls it autoslip since its like an autocancel ledgeslip.

I'm glad Marss is like Beefy Smash Doods, they know when they see a good clip and know when its fake. But I'm surprised Marss didn't say "could have teched that!"

@@neko_knockout Between the normally bland clips, alot of clips being staged, and the players that get into the compilations being cringe themselves, the whole thing just becomes a joke. I fought one of the people who used to get into a lot of these, it was a Ryu player I believe? Beat him with my Ganon, then he barely beat me second game, taunted, then closed the room. Like bruh .-. It's just sad.
Now, Beefy Smash Doods got good compilations :) At least it's not just tryhards trying to be tryhards. I'd recommend those comps over this

Though! A big reason why Smash is fun for me is because competition is something I love. I love being able to test my metal against better or equally skilled players and get better in the process. Which is why I think the tryhard clips are cool. They show the capabilities and creativity of what a person can do, and that there's always room for improvement in any area of play. Flashyness, adaptability, combo game, etc.
