Hydroconquest GMT, the new Conquest and now this ... Longines is tremendously improving their game
…And their pricing too
Also conquest chrono
Also their 39mm spirit zulu time recently
The new longines lineup is truly beautiful, a tremendous step up from the last models. The new conquest/Hydroconquest, fly back, are all absolutely gorgeous, and made with quality. They knocked it out of the park this year.
@@riccardo1569 I mean, yeah they're definitely moving upmarket. I think they want to position themselves in the long-run to be competing with the likes of Tudor, Breitling, Omeag, etc. rather than competing with Oris, Tag Heuer, and Rado, which is kind of where they've been situated.
I think what we're all trying to say is, the value proposition being offered by Longines these days is exceptional. The same way a brand like Seiko combines legitimate heritage, amazing dials, spec performance, and competitive movement options, Longines is positioning itself as the happy invitation to affordable yet amazing Swiss watches. Matter of fact I think they outperform a brand like Seiko in terms of level of finishing and movement accuracy at the price point. It's becoming harder for me to want to diversify my collection when Longines keeps doing this.
Damn, Longines has been on fire lately. Well done!
I just bought one of these over the weekend and I absolutely LOVE it!
Such a handsome watch with a very affordable price point.
Enhorabuena 😀
@@bokehfilms4422 Thank you 🙏
Looks absolutely stunning! Longines has been killing it the past year… I’m definitely adding this piece to my collection!
That blue dial JLC moon is my favorite dress watch so this Longines is budget perfection.
Longines is doing the most incredible things, I've purchase 2 over the last year and I could easily find an excuse to own something from each of their lines. Someone could accidentally make a Longines collection just trying to check all the boxes
I love the blue dial too, very classy and timeless!
Longines seems to be leading the value proposition metric on all fronts. Beautiful piece. Thank you.
The best JLC MUT moonphase alternative. Such a killer piece.
Glad to see Longines making smaller watches. Very smart move for Asian market as Longines very popular in Asian Nations But if they are going to make thick they need to do Titanium. I have the titanium big eye Avigation at 14.5 mm thick and 41mm case and it’s a pleasure to wear. I have 7 1/8 wrist and after starting w/ 43+44mm, then 42mm, I find 38 to be a pleasure to wear especially when traveling. But longines makes some stunning watches.
Longines proves once again that a fabulous watch does not have to be $10K. Best value or money. Period.
The white one looks 👌 superb. Only thing that has kept me away from Longines are the lugs; they are simply too long.
Longines ❤
Very fitting during the cold, dressier, season.
Stunning. Love the dolphin hands great fit with this moon dress watch.
Another awesome delivery by Longines
Thanks Teddy. This watch is shooting straight at JLC. With the Master Control prices going up, I bet Longines will sell a bunch.
I was thinking exactly the same thing
Wow, Longines on a roll this year !
Great looking watch. For those who don't have the money for a master control moonphase, this represents a good alternative.
In any color, this is a stunner!
I saw these models a few months ago while watch shopping in NYC. They were Boutique-only at the time iirc. They look fairly similar to the JLC master ultra thin but at a fraction of the price (and thicker). Quite attractive. I’m glad they are available at other AD and online now I guess.
My initial thought exactly - and the JLC is a bit of a cheaper version of the Lange Saxonia moon phase- but both of those watches are a bit insane expensive- this is a beautiful alternative with a more reasonable price
$3k for this longines makes no sense, however 4x for the longines does. @@italianstallion3130
I´d love to see a clip about how to set a moonphase!
It's worth to mention that JLC UTM is 4x more expensive.
This Longines is great for this money. However there are still noticeable flaws that could be avoided. 1/ why the dial is so deep under the crystal? 2/ why the dial is so much smaller than the crystal? 3/ Why the watch is thick like a tool watch?? 4/ lower part of the dial lacks symmetry because of the used caliber.
Ooohhh, that looks nice!
Love it 👌🏽 gives me JLC ultra thin vibes, while retaining originality.
Got the blue. Very nice indeed. Dial is darker in person and changes depending on the lighting
This is a handsome piece. I myself wanted a moon phase complication and ended up going with the Ball Engineer Moon Calendar. With its 100-meter water resistance it works a bit better for me as an all-around daily wear
outstanding new products
What drives me to seek out this watch as my top moonphase choice is the moon itself doesn't look like a tacky printed sticker of a moon slapped on. A polished coin is all you need and from Longines that's all we're getting. They've got my money when I have it to offer lol.
Beautiful.
Great new release from Longines, and you mentioned the master collection equivalent which is almost £1000 less and also apparently thinner, wouldn't you choose that over this flagship model?
Other household brands should be feeling hot under the collar. I don't have the need for a dress watch, but that blue Moonphase is next level beautiful
Saw this watch (Flagship Heritage Moonphase) and the Spirit Zulu GMT earlier this month. Was torn between the two. Ultimately I went for the GMT. Both are stunning watches and a great value for money as compared to the other major brands.
Zulu is a stunner
I already have the zulu gmt for about more than a year, but i love this watch too, if it was 41 and not 38.5, for sure it was in my collection
Another Ultra Thin. I like this look.
Beautiful watch, though agree with Teddy here-a bit clunky in height. Also, while it holds up in appearance surprisingly well against the JLC in that one shot, seeing them side-by-side makes the Longines hour and minute hands appear a bit thickish. Less elegant than the JLC hands for sure. Maybe they should have ditched the lume?
This watch like an omega de ville tresor small second realy beautiful watch
Looks like JLC. I definitely will add to the collection.
Powematic 80 uses plastic parts to achieve 80 hours power reserve. Which makes it a disposable movement.
Glad Longines don't use them.😊
Price is significantly up on the 1832 Heritage series watches!
I looked at the champagne dial/gold hands/indices at Birks last weekend, considering as a 50th B-Day watch as I'm not at all interested in playing Rolex's silly little game. One thing the sales lady said was that the indices and hands were solid 18k gold, not just plate. Are you able to confirm? Seems reasonable considering the $4k CAD price point.
Do you know if Longines also designs and creates their own movement with ETA parts or do they only assemble pre-designed movements?
Oh damn, I was soo close to buy Baume & Mercier Clifton Baumatic with blue dial, but now I can't decide if these are not a better option. What's you opinion guys? They both look exquisite.
Your videos make watches look better than they look in real life. This is great for advertisement companies but not so much for consumers
The blue looks a darker(better) shade than what is shown in their images. Is the image different from what it will look like in person?
Can you make A video for people with larger wrist like watches that are 44 millimeter cases and up
Wow, some similarities to JLC here, a great hit for longines!!!!!
Some similarities? I would say the designer at Longines had a pretty lazy day here.
They just copied it, but I don’t mind
Perfect, I mean JLC!
Want!
One of the best brands out there and yet my AD is thinking of no longer carrying the brand as Longines models don't sell. Puzzling.
Because of Swatch and generic cases.
I doubt these will be as well selling as their other pieces, that's rarely the case for dressier watches. I personally adore the white brushed dial though and might just have to add it to my collection which is currently lacking a dressier piece!
Please review omega deville tresor . :)
I know Longines is trying to appeal to the average consumer but I would love to see them do more manual winding watches. Especially in these dressier models.
That whole dial with the hands is close to perfection in what I am looking for in a dress watch. Sadly that deep chapter-ring/rehaut and the very contemporary case design made me lose a lot of interest. If this had something along the lines of Fredrique Constants case designs on their dresswatches, this would be a killer I think. Or maybe not, maybe it's just the deep rehaut that breaks it for me. I like my dress watches to have the dial right up against the sapphire. It's the same I dislike with my Raymond Weil Freelancer, even though that has a sloped chapter-ring which helps a bit. I'm wearing my favourite watch right now, my Master Collection Moonphase calendar chronograph. I would not hesitate having Longines more represented in my collection. Brilliant, brilliant brand!
Top!!!!
Nice watch . Already availaible in 3 configurations . The calendar and the night/day indicator at 6 is perfect . Beautiful "dress" watch .
This looks amazing but agree with the lugs way too long
Hey look, Orient made a moonphase bambino!
lovely looking watches, but I cannot help but think it would be even more beautiful without the 'automatic' written on the face!
But then people wouldn’t know it’s an automatic.
The only complaint I have about this watch is it thickness
Great looking watch.
Very nice but this type of watch needs an exhibition case back.
Couldn’t agree more. Lack of display caseback pretty much takes it off the list for me. Especially for a dress piece like this.
Homage to JLC moonphase Ultra thin Or just COPIED ?
I think brands like Longines and Breitling are introducing far more interesting designs and styles in the last few years than the higher tier Rolex or Omega. For the Omega, the redesigned 300M Seamaster Diver with the new co-axial movement was so drool worthy when it was introduced a few years back but it looks so boring now; even slightly tacky with the wave dial. Rolex...well...it's looking like a grandpa watch these days. A very rich grandpa mind you.
I don't know guys. Y'all talk about value for money (and the looks by Longines are killing it - very handsome watches) but since I got into the game, maybe around 5 or 6 years ago, Longines have trippled their prices. That's not an exaggeration. Most of their models could be had for higher three figure prices, sometimes north of a grand. Nowadays they are usually around three grand. I know they are supposed to compete with Tudor and they have the history to back it up but still... If we complain about JLC raising their prices by 40ish % then Longines are a completely different animal.
Thought this was JLC from the thumbnail
Ok, i guess I have a pet peeve...
Lon-gines (single "g" and a silent "s"), lon-gines... not long jeans... I know, watch brands are all intentionally made for mispronunciation, but this one seems preventable with a little help from your friends. Looking forward to your next video teddy!
Longines, please make conquest in 38 mm
if it could be just a little smaller since it is a dress watch after all
A stuning watch! I have a few new Longines in my collection. The only reason that this watch is NOT in my collection, is because is only 38.5 mm😢. Why they don't do a 41mm? 😢
Yup, my exact question too
As always with longines the length of lugs ruins it this is a great budget version of the JLC version but JLC don’t do lugs the length of a swimming pool!
I thought it was a JLC when I saw it.
Looks awesome. Make it 10mm thick or less, and I’m all in!
Then you should get a JLC
It’s on my list!
@@TimG-5230just a small price difference.
@thegorn 😂 just a bit
On the one hand i wanted to buy a JLC UltraThin Moonphase and couldnt afford it, on the other hand this is a shameless copy of that watch. I am conflicted.
Somehow I feel Longines to be more bit sportier and interesting while JLC is elegant and serious
Did they have to write "Automatic"....
Only if these had at least 50m wr.
This is one of the most gorgeous still affordable dress watches I have seen so far!
That 'automatic' font is sooo bad. Otherwise sublime watch.
The quartz like ticking is quite annoying
I can never buy a Longines because you never know with them what percentage of the parts were made in China. Sometimes it is quite a lot, and they are very opaque about this.
Is it me or the rehaut looks unnecessarily thick? Felt like they could shave off at least another millimeter there
Unsure that if I had three grand or more that I would like a brick watch.
reahut is wierd for a dress watch. it belongs on a military spec. also it's too thick (i was expecting 10mm). and lol at $3K!! overall it's an excellent watch but i'll spend the extra and get the jlc.
longines, the copycat brnd that does it markedly worse than the masters.
IMHO the case doesn't suit the dial. It isn't the thickness per se, but the rather harsh angles... I don't know, it almost looks like a field watch when viewed from the side. The dial is beautiful, but overall something seems off. Just my 2 cents.
nice looking watch. (BUT)they are not worth 3 grand US
No watch is really worth 3 grand US.
of course many are. not this one however.@@bigmacdaddy1234
How is the moonphase not functional?
It IS functional.
At 7:56 - “the moonphase appealing more to the romantic ideal than actually being functional”. What did he mean by that?
@@DavS827 meaning it's not added because it's functionally necessary. Nobody really needs the moonphase but it's a cool thing to have. It's not there for functional reasons, if that makes sense
This looks too much like the JLC‘s ultra thin moon phase.
That chapter ring screams,,,, OMG! What a miss. Was the case designed independently form the dial, and they just slapped them together..? No review... no second thoughts!!! Uggh...
yes, rehaut belongs on a quartz military novelty.
it's biggest mistake is JLC moonphase exists. From Longines, I'd pick the new 38.5mm master's collection with breguet numerials.
Not a mistake at all. They will sell every single one.
are they manking only seven?@@bigmacdaddy1234
Would be nice to have a 42mm version
Why 38,5?….. 36/37 was better
Looks too much like the JLC to my taste. Way too much.
2-4 mm too thick for my taste
true!
Too expensive !!!
Lugs too long!
You talk too fast man
Longines needs to stop already.
their watches will be more and more expensive and difficult to buy if they keep producing major hits like these 😂
