My personal head canon is that such frequent exposure to the fissures was screwing with Ruthy’s connection to his implant, so he got rid of it to avoid future issues.
While I really enjoyed the Lower Decks final, maybe an episode between 9 and 10 was needed. A 3 parter perhaps. An episode to tie up the threads left from Fissure Quest and lead into The New Next Generation earlier.
It's kind of a perfect ending. By the end of the episode our team are no longer lower-deckers. They're part of the "hero" crew. And does anyone else think the beard makes Boimler look a bit like Wil Wheaton? 😄
Loved this episode and had a chuckle when that BoP turned into the Disco one lol. Also the bit where the Cerritos briefly turned into different classes. LD Season 5 definitely feels like a subtle middle finger to Alex Kurtzman. (P.S my favorite transformation was the Sovereign class)
I never even thought of Carols Starbase 80 arc

That's just a normal Chihuahua on that Klingons lap right? Plus more than one DBZ reference in mainstream media in 3 days is pretty sweet.
Where were the others?
