Man I really hope they don't try and bring in KD. Keep this young core. If anything they could try and bring in D-Book, but I don't see how he would fit next to Jalen and it would be a terrible mistake to move Green for D-book. Playing D-Book and Green as 1 and 2 would make no sense, they both need the ball to be effective and neither of them is good enough to run the offense thru them as playmaker on regular basis. I could see them run Green at 2 and Book at 3 if Fred was still here but to get D-book he would have to be traded to match the salaries.
Reed with Book would be awesome offensively! But I have concerns about the defense. I don't think Book fits Ime's defensive plan, but coaches don't make trades! I definitely don't see them giving up assets for an overpriced KD. It probably depends on how much Ime's voice carries in trade talks.

I know we are in a win now situation but if we give up on our young core too soon I believe it will come back to bite us in the a$$. They've done it before especially when we had Daryl Morey and Kevin Mchale as coaches, they boned the team badly. I want the Rockets to succeed and I believe they can if they're given the chance to do so. 😊😊

Reed is a Point. He didn't get to play it because it was promised to Wagner years ago. His handle, vision, and passing are better than people think. He almost always makes the right play and was by far the #1 reason KY was so lethal on offense last year.

Reed has been a shooting guard all of his life…even in high school. The Rockets have also never said anything about making him a point guard. If so they spent a top pick on the same position two years in a row which is pure incompetence.

We got one extra pick in the trade & we can hold them over the suns incase our young stars flop & one of their superstars want out of Phx.
They got 4 picks instead of having just 2. brooklyn wouldn‘t have traded bridges and would have tried their best to compete and be mid. The chance for a top pick would have been slim. They didn‘t want to draft another young player again and have almost the whole roster of unexperienced players at the same time. They hope for the downfall of phx which is very likely. So their picks will have good trade value or lottery chance in like 3 years which will be perfect for our championship window.

This may just be talk. But the Rockets should make a trade to try to win now. This is not a championship contending team if they don’t make a trade and probably never will be with the team as is.

Of course we are not a championship caliber team at least right now. But we have to be patient and let our young guys develop and build chemistry. The potential we have right now is through the roof. I absolutely would not want to risk that potential by trading any of our top 4 guys for for Zion or Booker. Instead, we could be on the verge of building a future championship contending team with our young talent that will last for years to come.

You need to relax with these OKC comparisons. Until we get a star primary ball handler we aren’t even in the conversation. Probably 43+ wins next year and playoffs or play-in ball. If we get health to fall our way we could be like the pelicans of last szn. Top 8 but most likely swept in the first round of the playoffs

I agree with your main theme but you need to work on your fractions. Green did not play well for the second half of the season. He played amazingly for 8 games. A month tops.
