No matter who you support, you have to admire and respect this guy, what he has done for F1 the way he handled the last race of 2021, nothing but respect from me.

Just don't look or listen to him when a starts talking about stuff outside of f1.
If he could only keep that stuff out and not think he is big enough for that it would be fine.
Most successful F1 driver of all time and still remains humble about his achievement. Never brags about his records. Just grateful. Worked hard to get where he's at. Sad to see many people discredit his achievements. He's not the stereotypical racer that most F1 fans have been used to. Which does create negative perception.
The first tittle should have been for Massa and hope he succeeds in court.

Lewis is such a nice guy. He has really matured and he cares so much. Everyone who meets him says he is down to earth, genuine, funny and cares. Amazes me when fans who know nothing about him make judgements about his personality when people who meet him say the contrary.
True! I will never understand the massive, bitter and salty hatred towards this genuine and outstanding sportsman! A class act in my book!

Lewis only helps young drivers with 1 skin color and blaims others 2 be racist.
I can see how him being mindful and pc can irritate some people, but if you think about how difficult that is to do, and to keep focused on the bigger picture than getting caught up in the moment, Lewis is quite developed and mature. It's easy to poke fun at, and for him to maintain in his composure and responsibilities despite that, is all the more impressive. People won't recognize his greatness until he's gone.
Love that younger pundits like Billy and Naomi are taking some of these big interviews. Great interview questions from Billy. Would like to see him more on live camera on CH4

Great Interview! The media should stop thinking negatively every time he makes a comment about something. Maybe asked the question and you may learn why he was saying what he was saying .. He's partially right ... Regardless of who is winning but if you are winning by 20 seconds it's bad for the sport. Close battles are so much more interesting to watch. (P.S. nothing against Red Bull or Max) .. But it's fun to see so many teams in the mix .. every week we never know if it will be Aston, Mercedes, Ferrari and now Maclaren .. even Williams are up there. It's so much more interesting to watch.
Didn't hear him complain about the seven years preceding Max's streak.

I always enjoy these opposed to the media droning on about the car.
whatever he says, great achievements and that should be respected, but for 7 years of mercedes dominance, between 2014 and 2020, the only time the championship was decided on the last race, is when he was beaten by Rosberg in 2016 with the same machinery. all the other years he had a free ride easily wining the championships. Bottas was a second wing, never offered any competition and even admitted on interviews he was happy with his role as second wing. 7 years people! Verstappen is 25 years old, he is not even on his second year of dominance, he is 2 times champion and has 45 wins! for a comparison Hamilton went to Mercedes when he was 28 years old, schumaker went to Ferrari when he was 27. If Verstapppen wants to continue to race F1, he clearly has the potential to even go to one or even two different teams and beat all of these records! Hamilton obviously sees that and this is the reason for all this talking! he knows the records will evaporate very soon, verstappen will crush them like a cockroach! we are witnessing the very best driver on this generation! he will bag a few more wins and championship in RB, but I bet he will struggle for a year or two and bring another team to glory! He is only 25! just keep watching, yes time is needed, as simple as time, if he has health and no serious accidents, he will beat all of these record like there is no tomorrow! cheers!
It is so important that Lewis is not afraid to talk about levelling the playing field. Fans don’t tune in to watch F1 to already know the result of who is going to win the race.
I am trying to understand how some fans could be enjoying that. As a Lewis fan it was always the most enjoyable watching him fight with Felipe, Fernando, Sebastian and Max. But at the moment there are no battles for the win.

I don't remember him being an advocate for closer racing when his team was dominating the sport for 6 /six/ years. I don't know what changed, maybe he doesn't want anyone to beat his records ?
He was always saying he wanted competition when he was winning championships.
The battles with Vettel were far better than him out in front or fighting Niko imo.
The 2021 championship was also great.
We need to get to a place where the cars are closer across the top half of the grid so we see battles that decide wins, not who comes 8th or 9th.
It'll take years with the cap to get there, but RB have a huge advantage because of their floor development and tuning

Favourite - probably the one he got on best with. TBH I think Lewis prefers intra team battles more than team mate battles.
He always had competition, whether it be his team mate or another team. Unlike what we have now, if Merc, Ferrari and the rest keep messing up their development then I don’t see how Redbull and Max can’t win everything for the next 2 plus years.
The reason why Lewis has chosen F1 as a profession over his favorite ballet dancing is that he can't blame his Tutu for failure

@@jayrusty2012 There are many many women in motorsports now, and have been for many years, in one capacity or another, including many drivers. I'm sure many more would be willing to get into it if they didn't have to face opposition and lack of opportunity. Provide the opportunities and more will get in. Put another way, build it and they will come.
People thought the same way about cricket. Many 'traditionalists' thought women had no business playing professional cricket. Look where the international women's game is now? If women are good enough to get into top class motorsport and even go head to head against men, then more power to them. Gender shouldn't matter. The only question should be is if you're good enough. I have a feeling Lewis would say something along the lines of what I've just said. Do you think otherwise about the issue?
