well it's a lathe ruclips.net/user/postUgkxN9zrzkkhnjUF5PQbuA_B1gYdsfCu9k6z but it wasn't what i would have anticipated. Headstock, tailstock, carriage apron are manufactured from aluminum now not cast iron. The spindle diameter for the bearings is too small allowing for a few play in the spindle so I am using some blue Loctite to take out the play.

Excellent! Never occurred to me to go AC with my mini lathe. I have a 3/4 hp 3ph motor laying around that I've been wondering what to do with. I may have to try this. Well done!

Although I do not understand all the ramifications and I am not a machinist this looks very nice! I thought DC was better but the operation and instant forward to reverse is superb!! Wow well done!

IIt didn't take me long to burn out my 500w motor on my chinese lathe so I replaced it with a 2400w motor from a useless mulcher I had ,as for the pulleys I changed them to multi-v [they last longer ] ,That enabled me to make a simple clutch I have made a lot of changes to my chinese lathe ,now I can make a reasonable depth of cut on alloy steels i

Had to upgrade my Sieg C3 as the board burnt out. Went with a C6374 from Ebay, a 60amp esc and servo tester, all powered by a 24v 25amp power supply.
I now have 2.7kw instead of 350w. It cost approximately $160au which is $30 less than the price of a new replacement board. It all works as standard, even the speed indicator.

¿Voy orientado?
