This is the best version I have ever heard of this song on RUclips! I write parody lyrics to songs such as this, so I was very happy when I found this version a few days ago. I hope you don't mind, but I sing a version with different words using your music. I gave you credit in the description. It would be awesome if you would play "Little Deuce Coupe" also! Take care Miles
I meant to add, for you to feel free to give my song a listen if you need a good laugh! My wife was a very good singer, but she passed away suddenly a few months ago. She had a pretty big lead foot when it came to driving, so I figured this was the ideal song (with lots of lyric adjustments) to do as a memorial to her. Thanks again for taking the time to prepare for and play this great old song. As I said in my other comment, I have been looking at karaoke version of this song for 5 years, but they all sounded useless, so it was like a breath of fresh air when I heard your song a few days ago, so I got right onto it and made it into a video. I don't claim to be a good singer, but I think our family members will get a good chuckle at the lyrics. I was fine riding with my wife, she drove fast, but was safe, and we both drove about the same speed, but I know at least 2 people that refused to ride with her after a trip! Maybe they were used to driving like a snail, I don't know, because there was never any moss growing under Ellen's car!!!!
I did listen to your parody! It's great! I am so touched that you were moved by my track. I do these just for fun, and if you find them fun also, even better! Feel free to use any of my creations! I am so sorry about your wife. I know you must really miss her, and I am sorry she had to leave you too soon. Great to meet you!
Rick, I love your channel and your incredible talent. I haven't found a great version of the Beatles' "Words of Love" yet. Would you consider covering it?
For these recordings, I am using a 1965 Super Reverb. I use the spring reverb AND add some reverb in ProTools. For the rhythm guitar, same thing, except I play a Jazzmaster. I don't take the Super to live gigs, it's too much amp for the small places I play. I use a Supro Dual with one 12-inch speaker, and a free standing Fender reverb unit. For recording, I usually have the Super on 4 for rhythm, and 7 for melody.
@@audiocamOK, silly question, do you think the new ToneMaster version would sound as good. I can't see how you can play the real thing in that little room! Hope you come up with more oldies. Subscribed.
@@TurboMountTV Well, I don't think it would be as much fun, I don't have the amp in the room with me. I am just in my control room listening to stereo speakers while the amp is in the bigger room and I just run a cord to it. However, I got the amp on about 5 or 6, so it is pretty loud in the house. I recently bought a 5 watt Supro so I can not make as much noise for the sake of my wife. (She doesn't mind, but I know it is loud!) I use a free standing reverb unit into the little Supro, and it sounds almost as good as the Super. this was, I don't make as much noise, and I feel more free to experiment. I don't alway shoot a video, a lot of the time, I only record audio. When I shoot a video with the little amp, I will reply back to you here.
@@audiocamThanks for responding. Just discovered my Fender GTX100 has a 1965 Super Reverb model, so gonna experiment with that. Still not sure if my Yamaha Super Strat can replicate that 61 Strat though.
bumping my head to this 🤙
This rocks!
Thank you!

I'd play any Beatle song pretty much. And, thank you! Might try that one. Currently working up a version of hard Day's Night, surf style.
@@audiocam sounds good, Rick. I look forward to hearing that and I hope to heck you will do Words of Love as I know your version would be incredible
Awesome Mr. Hinkle.
Thank you, Sir!
Subscribed Rick. Thank you for these tutorials
Thank you, David!
Real rock and roll 🎸 🎉
Thank you!
Great idea, well played!
thank you!
What do you use gear-wise to achieve your surf sound? Thank you Rick in advance.

Once of the few songs I know all the lyrics too, and you perform it beautifully.
I love the lyrics! I try to think of them as I play the melody. When I do that, I can phrase better.
FANTASTIC !!!❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!

Wow you throw in a lot of extras there... Kudos.
Can you tell us what amp you are using? Thanks.
Thank you! Yes, I am using a 1965 Super Reverb, and using the built in spring reverb.

Surf's up!
Nice work sir!
Thanks you!
Brilliant tone and playing.
thank you!!
Just plain nuts!
Thanks you!
That would have been a great solo piece as the break in Jan and Deans little old lady...song
The low note guitar melody? I have to agree. It would have worked well. Kind of a Duane Eddy approach to the instrumental section. Thank you!
Ýou're a MASTER!🎸🎸🎸
Thank you very much!
Amazing........loved it!
Thank you!
