6:32 Actually, as a Cashies shopper and a future Cashies employee, that's the day the store has given the item a price tag where if that item was pawned, it would be priced on the day whereas they price the item the day they buy the item off the seller. They buy for 1/4 of what they'll sell in store (about 20% of eBay value and they sell at 80% of the RRP). I've noticed the price tag had an LN which meant it has been pawned and they priced the box set on the day it was listed. If it was $85, they would have pawned it for $20 since it was Grade D stock.
Awesome find with the sports cards. That Tyrese Haliburton Rated Rookie is good for $10. FYI, the comp you showed on screen for the NBA card is a silver Prizm compared to the one that you bought being a base card. Its important to ensure you are comparing the comp to the correct variant of sports card because there are so many and it can be confusing. I speak from experience! I have 400+ sports card for sale on my store, last week i sold one of my cards that i listed from my early early days! and once i was packing it i realised i had listed it as a "Silver Prizm" (which go for more money), when in-fact it was only a base card! So i cancelled the order and messaged the buyer, which they were thankful for. I also anticipate i will encounter this problem coming into the new NBA season where people will start buying cards more frequently again. Anyway. My wise words of wisdom. Thanks for the entertaining videos Matty
Audio/video is my niche, try to find sony handycams hi8 or video8 camera's, they do great. And if you're going to sell electronics, you need to test a bit more. Great video 😎👍
Great idea getting rid of your shoes for $2000, reinvest it. The TMNT character is April O'Neill and is rare because she wasn't released individually, only in that packet so nice find 👍
Gday Matt I am gearing up to be an EBay reseller and am just wondering is it best to use my residential address or a P.O. Box? Love your content and have been learning alot from it.
back in the day there was a code they used so you can work out what they paid for the item, unsure if they still use it today but its a good way to negotiate with them.
Do you upload straight from the older ipad to eBay? I'm interested in this as my phone photos are too many and would rather keep personal photos separate
@@chellisherwin924 unfortunately not, it’s an extra step or two. When Airdrop was working, I dropped the photos onto my Mac and then drag and dropped them into my EBay listing. (That doesn’t work anymore so I have to upload them into Photos first.) I don’t find it too bad, just part of my process as I have no other alternative in my case 👍
a grade nine is not just about condition - they take into account the centering and print quality - a 9 is likely a mint card that just was not manufactured 100% correct - if you are getting into graded cards look at this as you can find steals this way
Drove to post office today just to send off a $15 (+postage) item. Was such a waste of time; I'm going to look a lot more at selling in bulk going forward.
Its diff from point to point. I started with selling 1 item every 2-4 day now i post 20+ parcel every seond day. In every bussines u have to start somewhere or you can sit and complain there is hard to make money in no 9-5 job
most thrift stores comp their books before they put them on the shelves these days and price them up accordingly... its one of those categories you gotta search out from other sources
The same thing happens at my local stores as well. They seem to forget they are only attracting local foot traffic or maybe traffic for two and three suburbs over. Ebay and online selling creates virtual foot traffic in the hundreds of thousands to millions. I often see the same stuff sitting in my local charity stores isles for months. It makes you wonder. Notwithstanding that, they are preventing people who may well be doing it tough from picking stuff up and selling it online to keep the wolves at the door. I saw a guy today going through skip bins (not the charity drop-off bins) who does exactly this. He didn't look well off and said he resells at the local market.
As if you don't like Spider-man Matt! Surprised to see you sell all your shoes. Never got into the shoe game, can't find them cheap enough or in food enough condition to resell.
i love how you don’t gatekeep info. like telling the guy in the op shop what good shops were around. all these little bits of info you freely share is why im loving your content. thankyou, appreciate you. 🥰
Your videos has kept me inspired and motivated to keep listing everyday, even if it's 1 item per day. Currently working on being consistent. Thanks for the videos and the transparency, very insightful and useful!
“We’ve just proved you can find profit in cash converters”… hasn’t sold any, hasn’t yet had to take offers, hasn’t included postage, cost of time sourcing, listing and dispatch, value of storage space, having to offload to some guy at a 1/3rd of the “value” because he gets sick of the stock hanging around, like the trainers.
Good to see Kate taking an interest in your business and acting as an advisor around hair related tools. Your face at “it’s not a straightener it’s a curling wand” was hilarious. Love the video mate, good stuff.

That Donte PSA9 is a $10 card at best. The comp you showed is a silver

Makes no sense! Just lower the price and sell the shoes on ebay and dont buy more shoes.
I mean, you already had the work done to list them.
Beyond the point of trying to sell them. Wasn’t a short thought decision
Another great and enjoyable video to watch. Keep on keeping on mate

that NBA isnt a silver so the comp was wrong, the one you got is a base card thats graded
He’s listed a silver as a base then so is definitely not was listed. That card is only worth 5 bucks.
Okay okay we all make innocent mistakes! Chill
@@TheAussieFlipper this is why they community is awesome we are all here to help each other. All love 👊
Another great vid. Glad the shoes are gone, just remember to no longer eye them off in the thrift😅!
I did get a glimpse of Kate in the Ipad 😂

The zip on the tracksuit pants is so you can take them off with basketball shoes on. So you can warm up before I start laying down buckets…🏀 🪣

P.O. Box is more private
I use a parcel locker, which is free
That was my order of Spider-Man comics and movie. It was packed so well! Definitely went and gave positive feedback :D
Preciate you!

As for the vcr, there is probably a small toy in there. Next time, take off the cover and give it a shake upside down and you will find it
Canada post hoses us so badly I shut down my ebay store a few years ago. I bought a large lot of vintage jewelry and try that.
Awesome you got more from the shoes. Perry is one beautiful pup.❤😊
Consoles are bread & butter 💯
I use my 1st Gen iPad mini as my EBay camera! Takes great pix
