Update: After some thinking, I've come to the realization that some of my placements may be a bit TOO high... S-Tier in particular. I'm not going to make an updated tier list because that would be dumb, but I will be making another WarioWare Get It Together video very soon! Also, thank you so much for the support. This is the first video I've done in a while that isn't LittleBigPlanet related and I expected it to bomb. I'm very happy that I got to talk about WarioWare and have people enjoy it because it's seriously like a top 5 game series for me! (Sponsored) Download Ace Defender Here: mtchm.de/qupdp
Perdonally, I find Penny's difficulty fine to put her B tier, but as you said, master her and she's top-tier, and I think she even BEATS OUT Orbulon and Ashley. If she wasn't so tough to learn and use well, she would easily be S-tier, or at least on Ashley's level, simply because there's NO microgame that she can't easily clear. I'm serious, name one and I'll tell you how I would beat it with Penny.
5 volt should be a solid A tier, her teleport cheese a lot of microgames but she tends to suffer greatly with microgames that requires precision, or accuracy. Now for the Frenemy Frenzy side mode, she's most definitely an S tier alongside Jimmy T.
@@BlazingVictini22 The reason 5-Volt can’t be truly S-tier is that the boss stage where she is mandatory to use (Remix 2.0) is a horrible match up as she will guarantee that many of the grapes will spill. But I agree that Penny is high tier due to the water from Jet Tank One being a faster alternative to some of the Micro games.
That’s always been the case though (the “Don’t Move” egg game from an older instalment springs to mind), and that’s why the game doesn’t reward you with Wario coins for beating games via the Playpedia (while you will receive 20 coins per microgame for playing story mode stages). I’ve deliberately sabotaged some of my Playpedia runs because I could have theoretically played them until stage 999, but I was mainly in it for the coins and mission medals (and they also serve as solid practice for the Expert/Master missions as well as the remix/all-in-one stages).
I find it kinda cute that the lowest tier character is the child of the highest tier, like if 9-volt has a lot of training and experience remaining just to be like his mother.
Look, I know 9-Volt is F-Tier, but goddamn I wanted to play as him for so long that I’m going to main him no matter what. I’ll be the hungrybox of WarioWare if I have to.
9-Volt earns you the most points of the cast when used in weekly challenges. Worth leveling him up (and learning to play as him so it matters ^^' ) for just that
I think ashley is the best character overall since 5volt still struggles in some games. Ashleys only flaw is her moving along with the bullets. Penny is also very good but struggles in minigames where hitting the wrong target is lethal
I would Love if they can make Joe, Fronk and Doris 1 Playable characters! -I think Joe deserved it for being a character that almost appears in every game of the franchise, also I enjoy his modest personality -The interactions between 9-Volt and Fronk are pretty cute, Fronk acts like a parental figure and I love it -Doris 1 can be a pretty cool adittion to the group of female characters since almost every female character in the game have a human design, meanwhile in the male group we can found a robot, a demon, a dog, a cat, etc. I think Doris 1 can bring more variety. -Other cool options can be Jimmy's family or 13-Amp
I personally value consistency over excellence in one specific thing, and while 5-Volt easily dominates certain games, she struggles immensely with a few others. Characters like Ashley and Orbulon are more well-rounded in that regard, which is personally why I’d put 5-Volt in high B tier. That’s just my take, though.
After playing more microgames with her, I totally agree. If I were to make this tier list again, I'd definitely put 5-volt at the bottom of A tier and either Ashely or Orbulon in S tier.
In the Main story, she's A Tier due to having more reaction time. But when trying to beat microgames at high speeds, she drops way down to D Tier in my opinion.
She’s S Teir for me, I’ve played almost every game and she can do all of them…I’ve done it all…I could break it down but I don’t feel like explaining so to break it down shortly, she’s S Teir and if you think not then you might need more practice with that character…but I respect the opinion
@@domomcbeasty743 the unplug mini game: hi No but I find myself able to beat almost every micro game with 5-volt. Even with high speed(although it's a 50 50 whether or not I succeed at that point) I'd still put 5 volt in S teir
Mona should be higher, because her projectile is just so good. It's basically like moving your character around, except you don't have to put yourself in danger of getting hit.
Good list, but I definitely disagree with 5-Volt being "Broken". I've seen a lot of people say she's the best after Nintendo Unity's video, but that video was very biased. Is it true 5-Volt can easily clear most microgames? Yes, without a doubt. However, those microgames are usually already quite easy. Yes, she can teleport out of the jar, but pretty much any character with a projectile won't struggle with that microgame anyways. Yeah, she can teleport past Bowser, but characters like Penny can just hover and extinguish his flames, and kill him with the projectiles. 18-Volt can too, as his projectiles makes Bowser's flames disappear. The issue with 5-Volt in my eyes is while she completely breezes some microgames, those microgames are ones you would already usually be breezing through with mostly any other character. And when she is not suited for a microgame, it is incredibly challenging. Most notably, family reunion (the one where you have to reunite the ducks to their mother), Yoshi's Story, and Kitty Business (Covering up cat poop) are really difficult with her.
I think over time I started to lean towards 5-Volt being a bit lower on the list, but at the time I wrote this script / recorded this video (about 4 days ago now) I was dead set on 5-Volt being OP. I hadn't yet experienced many of her more difficult microgames until maybe last night. I actually found myself choosing other characters over 5-Volt so yeah, maybe she isn't exactly the best, especially since Ashely is there as a great all arounder. Orbulon may even be more OP.
I don't see how Nintendo Unity's video was "biased". It just showcases the minigames that 5-Volt just frickin' breaks, and there's a lot of them. Yes, some of them are easily clearable with other characters as well, but then there are some like the light switch one, the rock tunnel one and the moving screen that you can't convince me can be done easier done by anyone else. She pretty much cheeses any "go here" microgame, and there is no other character who can cheese microgames like that. Are there microgames she's not great at? Sure. But that doesn't take away that she's OP overall.
Yep the only reason I lose with Ashley is bc I don’t know what to do in the mini game. Ashley is great for any situation where as 5-Volt accels in breaking escape type games,
I know this seems very unlikely, but I'd like to see WarioWare characters in a Mario Party or Kart game. Considering this is still technically part of the Mario universe, it wouldn't seem too out-of-place; if Diddy Kong and Funky Kong can make appearances, I don't see why Ashley or Mona couldn't (I just used those two as examples seeing they're probably the most iconic, even if you never played a WarioWare game, or even if you just played Super Smash Bros., you probably have a general idea who these two characters are; plus, I feel it's just easier to get people used to new characters is to make them cute girls). Hell, Waluigi, Wario's partner in crime and now part of the main cast of Mario characters in multiplayer games, was just made-up for a Mario tennis game to be a partner for Wario. If WarioWare GiT, does DLC or update characters, I'd have 4 choices. In order from most-likely to least-likely: 13-Amp, the Fronks (as in a tower of Fronks; like 4 Fronks, they can jump and move but the tower could knock over and each Fronk gains their own control-physics like the Cherry from Mario 3D World), Captain Syrup, and Waluigi (I'm just picturing Waluigi in like the gaudiest of casual clothing; like purple and yellow hawaiian shirt, socks and sandals, jorts, etc.).
Here's my idea for how Waluigi would work in Wario Ware. He has rocket boots meaning he can fly like Wario and also has a tennis racket which can be used to hit stuff and reflect projectiles.
You could also get Leo, that new kid with Kat and Ana their as well to get some of the new characters to be playable. Also possibly bring back Vanessa (the green haired girl that rivaled(?) Mona in of the past Wario Wares. Maybe bring in Princess Shokora as well, could see her gimmick involving turning into a cat
One thing about Red you didn’t touch on that isn’t an issue with other characters is that you can only have 1 bomb on screen at a time. You have to wait for it to explode to drop another. That means to get a better fire rate you have to get uncomfortably close sometimes. On a separate note, I would personally put Wario, Dribble, and Mike above Jimmy and Crygor because their unhindered flying make them great all-rounders, even if their attacks aren’t useful for the specific microgame. I also personally find Mike and Dribble’s ability to strafe while shooting is often just as if not more useful than Ashley’s ability to shoot in any direction. My personal favorite team is Mike, Ashley, Orbulon, Dribble, Wario, and 5-Volt in that order. Sometimes I’ll use Jimmy or 18-volt.
I just want the stick to do anything for 9-Volt besides turning around on hooks. One idea that I had that wouldn't break his character design is to make the stick do yo-yo tricks that move the yo-yo around horizontally, and you would pull it back with another button press like Mona. As for my few objections to the list: I don't think 5 Volt is quite at the top. Sure, she cheeses many microgames, but for those she can't cheese, the fact that her only movement creates a hitbox can be detrimental in some microgames, and her demon doesn't move too fast. I would much rather have Ashley for her consistency, but they're both S Tier IMO. I agree with Penny at the top of B, but I'll add that she has by far the worst "movement = hitbox" problem. She fires several projectiles that fly across the screen whenever she moves even slightly, which can really mess up certain microgames. Dr. Crygor is weird. The fact that he slow falls if you're not moving makes the more controlled version of Jimmy T feel less controlled. Plus, his swim attack is REALLY weak, often not enough to do basic functions in microgames. I'd move him down to C or D. On the contrary, I think Young Cricket and Master Mantis should be at the bottom of A Tier. Despite the limitations of gravity and not having a projectile, they are FAST, which makes them really good in most microgames. I also think Mona should be A Tier. Having a projectile that you can move after firing is unique to her and really good in many microgames, and being forced to move is no big deal when you can fly around in circles. Now you need to make a microgame tier list /s
My fave is Dr. Crygor, I think he is fine, in the middle of the pack. I prefer him over Jimmy since even tho he falls, it is a slow fall and I am much more in control. I agree with 5 volt and Mona tho!!
I would argue that with Penny, you can use it on the ground to avoid water projectiles doing more harm than good, but for some like the one where you need to break everything but the candy, she is not great.
I like that idea. Like an update that changes 9-Volt so that when he deploys his yo-yo, you can wiggle the joy stick and the yo-yo goes crazy, like spins around him or moves side to side, wrecking stuff as it goes. You're right, I don't think it would break him or the game in any way except making him slightly more useful.
Your list was pretty spot on, I'd say. As far as DLC goes, if that were to happen, I hope they make Joe playable. The way they finally brought Red, Master Mantis, and Pyoro to the forefront and let you play as Lulu in only her second outing, I was hoping he'd get an upgrade, too. Honestly, considering he was part of Jimmy T's little dancing crew ALONGSIDE Mantis and Lulu, I thought that's where that was headed haha.
I would say I’ve gotten to the point with Penny were I’m pretty good with them. What I notice myself struggling with them is micro games that involve you moving a lot in different directions and sometimes single shot ones. They move quickly so some mini games are you flailing for a second and then back to normal. While single shot games like Dr. Wario may be weird since you shoot out so much water. B is a good ranking for them. At most they would be low A tier.
The biggest issue with penny isn't her inverted controls, it's her momentum. She starts slow and the more you shoot in a direction you build up speed. This makes it very hard to hit things without pressing A, and sometimes you need to run and gun, or pressing a will stop all your momentum leaving you with too little speed to finish the microgame.
5-Volt is the best WarioWare character in general. Attractive gamer mom who surpasses her son as a hardcore gamer, as well as a supernatural being who can transcend the state of matter and mind. I'd be upset if she isn't overpowered in this game.
Just looking back at what she did in game & wario proved she was better at gaming than 18 volt and his own son so if you think about it she doesn’t scare his son because he’s rebellious oh no she scareohim because she knows 9 volt wants to beat her moms score and 5 volt can’t allow that can XD
Although I agree on some level with your placement of 5-Volt, but I really tend to get her at the worst times possible, so she often ruins my runs, because I get her at Microgames which need precise and fast button inputs.
The thing that bothers me the most about 9-Volt, is that a lot of microgames have these small bumps on the ground, just because of him, so he can turn around. Sometimes these bumps actually hinder movement for other characters, like for Cricket. Also, these bumps just look weird and unnecessary in general.
I never played a warioware game, but this one seems really fun, I might get it! That teleporting one is super op, going to use that for the microgames cause funni ez win
i see a lot of people talking about 5-volt, and which hypermobile characters should rank where, but damn, justice for my man young cricket! he is super fast, and super consistent, which comes in very handy in a lot of the wario cups. and while he might not be as versatile as ashley or orbulon, his simplicity makes him pretty consistent. if anything, id say hes at least better than mantis, because theres just too many games where the jump to the ceiling is too big of a risk, with too many obstacles or too little time. i find that it actually makes it harder to maneuver around the stage fast the way his apprentice can. but truly, people are sleeping on cricket!
Conclusion: The most important in wario ware; Is the player! Personally I find that 5 Volt is rather average, the damage of the teleportation is not precise, it is a very big explosion, which could be very bad for some minigames where it is necessary to be precise. In addition 5 Volt drops, after a teleportation, which can be a big penalty for some mini games, (and she can neither teleport nor move when she falls.) (It is true that she can finish 2% of the mini games without any difficulty, but it is only 2%) (I personally think it's better to use a character that has NO flaws like Ashley rather than 5 Volt.) (I would also have placed Red a little lower, Kat and 18 Volt a little higher, and Lulu muuuch higher)
I finished the game last night and I was really surprised you like 5-Volt so much. There are quite a few microgames I find she makes really tough because she doesn't have a way to continuously hit something or control smoothly: for example, the first boss you play with her is the one where you juice grapes. It was -so- much easier using Ashley for that one, I had to fail it twice to do it with 5-Volt. The handlebar one with the mine cart is one I always fail with her too. I personally think she belongs in B tier, but she's the only one I really disagree with (I think Wario should maybe be A tier and Ashley being alone in S tier). She is S Tier is being fun to play as though.
Gotta say, I don't think Ashley is well designed because of the fact she's a better version of the fliers. A well designed character would not invalidate the existence of other characters by being better than them in every concievable way. If she was slower or her projectiles had less range, any sort of meaningful trade off really, she could be well designed. But as is, not at all. ("But there's Wario Cup!" Yeah, so what. That's just one mode. In everything else, she just stomps on all the fliers). Also don't think 9-volt is well designed because instead of being a high risk high reward character, he's an incredibly high risk LOW reward character. Plus you can just use Mike since he's a better version of him, or use Ashley since she's way better than both of them.
I don't think Ashley is quite as good as you think - there is a trade-off there. Remember, unlike other fliers, she has to aim her shots. There are some games where being able to fly up and down while shooting right like Dribble makes the game really easy (and analogous situations for Mike and Orbulon). What Ashley has is flexibility, sometimes you'd love Dribble to shoot vertically, or Mike to shoot horizontally, and obviously Ashley can do it all. I'd say overall that does make the better character because she works for nearly every game, but it's not as clear-cut as it initially seems. 9-Volt definitely is very bad though.
@@Cream147player It's true that she has A trade off, but it doesn't impact her very much since the speed of her shots is still fast. It is the babyest of baby nerfs to balance her versatility, and there still isn't anything the other fliers can do better than her.
@@kiwikarp9509 This game suffers a lot of what you call bad designed characters, take Kat and Ana as a example, there is no reason to play as her since Dribble can freely fly and the only drawback is that Kat is a bit faster in horizontal move. red bombs are slow and not very powerfull, You can use Orbulon which has no cooldown, better attack speed and can easily push things that can even cheese some games like 5 volt. 18 volt cant move but he can shoot in all directions, Ashley can fly and shoot the same way. Sadly if a character can do something there will be another one that can do that exact thing but in a much better way making some characters useless, In my opinion there is some well designed characters like Mona and 5 volt, even thought this list hates Mona she is very useful, She can fly in all directions very fast and the boomerang is very useful to push things and almost anything and her drawback is very creative which makes Mona a well designed character since she doesnt make the others look trash. 5 volt is another example, she can cheese some games but some games will be very hard to complete, making that in some games she is the best but in others almost everyone can beat it in a easier way.
I used to think that Ashley was better than all the other projectile fliers. Then I tried a dozen times to beat the "no damage" and "master" missions on friendless battle with her, only to beat both of those missions first try after switching to Dribble. The issue with Ashley isn't simply aiming. She has to move a little bit towards her target in order to shoot toward that target, which is bad if the target is something you'd rather stay away from. Fixed shooting characters have the ability to strafe. Ashley does not. If you're playing Friendless Battle or any "clear screen" or "many targets" style microgame, Dribble, Mike, and Orbulon can just hug the left/bottom/top edge and strafe from one side to the other while shooting to clear the whole screen or kill everything. Ashley has to turn a bunch to do the same. In exchange, Ashley gets multi-directional shooting, which helps if a microgame rewards being able to shoot in a specific direction. As for Kat/Ana vs Dribble/Spitz, I do think Dribble/Spitz are usually better simply because of their free control. But Dribble/Spitz suffer in games where you need to exert an upward force, and Kat/Ana are much better at those games because their bounces function as attacks. The video had an example of a Kat player failing the microgame of turning over a turtle because she tried to accomplish it with shuriken. That microgame is fairly easy to beat by simply flipping it by jumping up to the edge like you'd do with Young Cricket. In fact, that particular microgame is arguably easier with Kat using that method than it is with Dribble, who's more likely to run out of space by pushing the turtle into the wall.
5-Volt has one major weakness, and that's continuous motion. Any task that is made easier by moving continuously is much harder with 5-Volt. For instance, the rock-climbing boss game from Jimmy's zone, the present-untying game, or the handcar microgame. As a minor weakness in multiplayer, while you're lining up her teleport, her body is a sitting duck for incoming damage.
5-Volt is not S tier lmao, yeah she can win a lot of microgames easily but when there is some microgames that its complicated for her thats a life taken for you without much thing you can do about it
@@sergeantguy4404 pretty much anything where you have to apply constant contact to, i.e. Orbulon's boss microgame and the one where you have to spin the swimmer's arms
My thoughts ~ Cricket & Mantis: I personally don't buy that Mantis is the better of the two, the fact that he will stick to nearly any ceiling-like surface means that in a lot of microgames that require multiple jumps (think the water pipes in That's life or the Breath of the wild one) his ability ends up getting in the way more often then not. It does enable the occasional stylish play with an other-wise strait forward archetype, but I don't see how that could put him above Cricket as the quintessential jump-man. Other then that, I agree with their collective placement in the middle of the road. 18-Volt: I genuinely believe that this character is one of the best, most consistent crew members in the whole game. 18-Volt is the only character (other then Ashley) that can shoot projectiles in any direction, but unlike her, he doesn't need to worry about controlling aim and movement at the same time. Having full and total control over quick, fast-firing, omni-directional projectiles is so much more powerful then I think a lot of people realize. He's also easily the best "hoop-goer" since he can just aim at it instead of having to find a working angle like Pyoro or waiting for the cycle like 9-Volt. Perhaps he does require a higher skill level in aiming and mashing, especially at higher speeds. You can mitigate the mashing problem by sliding your finger across multiple face buttons (since they all still work as A) but this need to mash combined with the hoops can cause situations like this ~ ruclips.net/video/OooNrmlwxqs/видео.html . 18-Volt is a tougher character to get down, but I think with some practice he's a strong contender for the best non-flying crew member, around A tier, or at least high B. Propel vs Hover characters: I place Penny, Jimmy, and Crygor in an archetype I call "propel flyer", a character that flies, but does so by using a specific ability (swimming, attacking, water) and will carry this momentum after use, but then fall after some moments. Similarly, Wario, Dribble, Mike, and Red would be "hover flyers", Characters that simply go to where the stick points at a static speed and float in place when stood still. I think that fundamentally, propellers have a harder time with microgames then hoverers, especially ones that require precision. Managing a propellers movement can be a task all in itself, and can bring into question if their strengths outweigh these issues. Crygor: The easiest to control out of the propellers, but lacks the good parts of Jimmy and Penny. Crygor is slow and his attacks, while easy to manage movement wise, are very underwhelming in power (which does matter quite a bit,) so he ends up feeling plain ineffective to use, so I think he's C, below the jumpers. Jimmy: A much more volatile version of Crygor, Jimmy's short bursts of movement are tough to control, but are made up for by how much power and speed they pack. There is so much Oomph to his attacks, and Jimmy is legitimately the fastest character in the game in terms of raw distance covered. If you get any microgame requiring precision, he's boned, but I still think he's the best propeller, and still probably B tier.
Penny: Maybe the trickiest crew member in the game, it takes some time to get used to her mechanics. But even after such practice, it's hard to imagine her water not still getting in the way. Her stick-in-place hover helps her circumvent the problem of staying IN the air that her peers have, but since you have to shoot out a bunch of projectiles in order to move at all, that can inadvertently screw her over. She's also not that fast, which means you mostly get one shot to set up shop in where you'll be spraying from, because messing up and needing to move will likely take too long for the microgame's time limit. So you have to quickly discern where you're going stop AND how you're going to get there without spraying somewhere you wouldn't want to. This positioning issue she has IS helped by the unique solutions to microgames her water provides, but I still see her as a crew member that can struggle to do tasks that most others don't, leaving her around C tier. Mona: While I don't necessarily Disagree with her placement on this list, I think her tools shouldn't be undervalued. Being an auto-moving character like 9-Volt or Katana, she actually still has a strong degree of control, given that you steer her through the air and can stop her by throwing her boomerang. On that topic, it is true that this boomerang is slower in comparison to a projectile, but it's still as fast as Mona herself, and since it also controls like her, you can almost treat the boomerang like a clone that you can recall to the original at any point. It should also be mentioned that the boomerang is exceptional at pushing things (like the rubber plug in the drain game or pretty much any microgame about turning a wheel.) 5-Volt: Gavino already made a comment on her here saying most of what I had to say as well, so I won't spend much time on this. 5-Volt is overrated, the microgames she wins for free are mostly ones that other crew members don't struggle with, and sees major roadblocks in the ones that require a lot of movement rather than ones where you only need to be in one place fast. her attack is very strong, which is nice, but it's hard to set up another teleport quickly if something needs to be hit multiple times. But I still think she's alright, around B or C tier. Some final thoughts on the Hover-flyers: Without a doubt the most dominant archetype in the whole game. The worst one is still B tier, and the two best sit at S tier. For best crew member out of the entire cast, for me it's a toss-up between Orbulon or Ashley. Ashley is so incredibly good, and the only thing that can hold her back is the management of moving, aiming, and mashing all at the same time. Orbulon bends the game to his will with his tractor beam, with countless examples of it mowing through microgames like no other character can. His one and only struggle is that this beam only goes down, serving as the only reason this god-like alien hasn't enslaved our entire race. As for the other hoverers, red is the worst because he shares Orbulon's one weakness without the insane benefits. Wario having his shoulder bash instead of a projectile leaves him feeling not quite as dominant as the other hoverers, but he is still a very solid, all-rounder pick that you can never go wrong with, so he's top of B, bottom of A. Dribble and Mike are very simple, extremely powerful, and mostly the same. But my gut tells me that Dribble is better, at the top of A tier, and Mike is just below him. And as for 9-Volt, Katana, Lulu, and Pyoro, I agree with their placement. Thank you for attending my TED talk about a children's single player videogame.
I actually agree with this tier list, somewhat of it. Most notable difference I want to make, is to bump Penny to A tier, probably still lower than Orbulon but she along with him, Ashley and 5-Volt are basically the four horsemen of cheesing Micro-games, (okay Ashley is the only one who doesn't technically have any microgame that is too easy for her but still she's too easy to use and effective at it), since Penny is arguably still very competent and if played right, she can arguably reach Ashley's level of usefulness, in addition to being able to cheese water-based Microgames (though they don't come as often as the movement-based Microgames that are cheesed by 5-Volt). Another one is to move Orbulon slightly above Ashley, though this is rather subjective - both stay at A tier. Everything else though can stay the same in this tier list, except for probably Dr. Crygor is actually not too effective compared to flying characters. Put him below Wario, Dribble&Spitz, Mike and Red but keep him in B tier. Also, Mona actually can be on B tier and below Dr. Crygor for having a surprisingly effective projectile. Put Young Cricket and Master Mantis above 18-Volt. Everything else is the same, I guess.
penny is actually fun to use, some people get annoyed by it. As a person who has driven a car before, I know how to use Penny, it’s just like driving a car in reverse
Honestly, I think orbulon is the best character in the game, not exactly because of his consistency, but of how many microgames you can cheese with him, take the piggy bank microgame or the dark room microgame, like you can do so much with orbulon and with the fact that he can fly just makes him better
I think that for the most part of these are fine but Ashley: I feel like she's a beginners trap. She's VERY good, don't get me wrong, but her movement speed is absurdly slow and as you said her shots are weak, she can barely finish some microgames in time due to how much you have to mash to get results. Mike: I think he's better honestly, stronger shots and the fact you almost always start at the bottom of the screen in microgames means he doesn't have to work hard to make his gimmick work, he's a lock for usefulness. Orbulon: I think the only microgame he's bad at is escaping the jar. I don't know how to do that one with him as he can't break it fast enough or push the cork free. Cricket (And Mantis) Are absurdly good, they just get glossed over because they're so basic. Crickets movement speed is insane and his 'strength' means he can clear microgames with almost no mashing. He gets slept on a lot. Mantis though can probably stay bottom C. He gets stuck to the ceiling way too easy and can throw you off with it far too often. Wario, Crygor, Jimmy: Wario deserves to be way ahead of them. While he has slower movements up and down his shoulder charge lets him clear the screen and get to things super fast. He's also insanely easy to position correctly as he has no gimmicks to his movement. Jimmy and Crygor on the other hand are the most low C's I can think of and I'm surprised you have them so high. They can go in any direction but they have so little control over where they land (especially Jimmy) that you can easily overshoot goals or targets or hit things you didn't want to by accident.
I'd say for these tier lists, it's not a character trivialising microgames that makes them top tier, but it's dependant on how many microgames destroy them and their game plans, I feel as though with your list, Cricket and Mantis are somewhat underrated as they are quite versatile, they just don't trivialise much either, alongside this I feel as though 5-Volt should definitely be beneath both Ashley and Orbulon due to certain weaknesses in certain microgames, and I even think that due to some minigames messing with his skillset, I'd say Dribble and Mike have a decent shot at being at the same level as Orbulon, finally I think Ashley is the best character because 360 movement and 360 projectiles leaves her with nearly 0 microgames that feel difficult with her assuming you know what she's doing
5-Volt's teleportation attack tends to be unwieldy for some minigames, ones that require precision and repetition, so I wouldn't put her at the top. Ashley and Orbulon tend to win out my favor as a result.
I think the fact that the characters ARE unbalanced adds to the already zaniness and unpredictability of WarioWare. It's not a game meant to be taken seriously by any means.
9 volt probably would have been a much better character if you could control his skateboard. It would still be limited, but it would feel like you had more say in it
If not being able to stop by pressing down on the control stick, *at the very least* let us turn around whenever we need to. Both of these are perfectly viable options.
The problem with Kat&Ana is that they're just an inferior Dribble&Spitz in every single way. They have the exact same direction gimmick as D&B, but because they jump constantly, the player has no control over their vertical movement and they have to platform everywhere to the beat of their jumps. Meanwhile D&B fly, so they can just go anywhere they want.
Kat and Ana can exert upward forces by jumping, similar to Young Cricket. That turtle microgame that the player failed in the video by trying to shoot it with shuriken is easy to beat by jumping up into it as Kat or Ana, and it's arguably one of Dribble's weaker games. A similar situation plays out in the game where you have to force a golf ball out of a sand trap. And, ironically, a similar situation in Dribble's boss microgame. Honestly, there aren't a huge number of projectile users that can attack both vertically and horizontally. Also, in the game where you have to pick any nail and hammer it (from Mona's set), Kat can hammer nails on either the ceiling or the right wall while Dribble can only hit a nail on a right wall. But yeah, she's terrible at games that require dodging, precision attacking and the like. Which still probably makes her statistically worse than Dribble.
I agree with most of this, but I have a few changes: -Pyoro is better than LuLu because LuLu isn't fun. -18-Volt belongs in B-Tier, unless your aim is that bad, his spam and freedom easily put him in a league above the jumpy boys. -You've done Mona dirty! She belongs at least in A-Tier. "PK Thun... I meant Boomerang" is an active hit box that doesn't stop until it is called back or runs into Mona, and as far as movement goes, she's one of the fastest. She's S-Tier in my heart, but I know that not everyone is as much of a GAMER as I am. -Red belongs in C-Tier, as his bombs might be more powerful, but their speed of travel and spam-ability hold him back. Also, most minigames are "Upward Biased", making most games slightly harder. -Mike belongs in A-Tier because, unlike Dribble and Spitz, shooting upward is useful practically all the time, while D&S can get screwed over by their lack of choice. Thus, if direction matters then Mike doesn't belong in the same Tier. -Jimmy T belongs in A-Tier. I like to think of the bash trio as three flavors of Coke, Wario is Diet Coke as he lacks versatility, Dr. Crygor is Original Coke being versatile and fairly smooth, then Jimmy T is Cherry Coke requiring total commitment, but greatly making up for it with his speed and power. -Penny in B-Tier? Hello?? Easily the most versatile move-set of the whole cast and the ability to just say nope to some micro games because water is the answer!? Easy S-Tier, if you don't think so, get good. -Mom/5-Volt is busted, but I feel that the fact that you can't teleport again until you have touched the ground make her a little more limiting than she might initially appear. She's still S-Tier, but behind the true queen, Penny, as there is no obstacle she can't pass with ease, while 5-Volt occasionally struggles, especially when the speed picks up. In case you're wondering, my main squad is usually Penny, 5-Volt, Mona and Jimmy T.
I just love that 5-Volt is a playable character at all. She used to be pretty much a background character, but I guess her popularity rose thanks to Smash Bros.
S tier Ashley Mike 5 volt Orbulon Penny S tier:I use these basically all the time! I know Penny is definitely controversial but I like using her and 5 volt is so much fun A tier Wario Red Dribble and Spitz Dr Crygor Mona Atier:These characters have good movement and I wouldn’t mind playing them B tier Cricket Master Mantis 18 volt 9 volt Jimmy T B tier:Good characters although some of these like 9 volt I enjoy playing but their controls can be a bit iffy C tier Kat and Ana Lulu C tier:Alright characters but not a huge fan of playing them Bottom Pyoro Not fun to play lol
To me, I'll give Penny an F tier, she's pretty hard to use for me since her movement is "opposite" to other characters and her movement has momentum, which make it much more difficult in many occations. I failed many microgames when I get her.
I know I’m late to the video but I honestly think Cricket and Mantis are underrated here. Both have great air mobility and ground speed which allows them to reach the corners of the screen super fast. Also, their jumps are pretty powerful in their own right. I don’t think they’re better than Ashley or Orbulon but I do think they’re better than Jimmy/Crygor at least e: I do want to also add that I think Cricket is distinctly better than Mantis as I feel like getting stuck to the ceiling is more often a hinderance than an asset. While I think that he can be on-par with Cricket if not better if mastered (kind of like Penny) I think he can be justified to be placed around Mike.
I have my own predicted tier list of the characters, but it is based on how easy/hard is it to use them instead of how viable are them in Microgames. Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert - where Beginner is the easiest and Expert the hardest. These might not be the most accurate - please comment if you need to do so. - Beginner - Wario: Simple flying controls. Attacks simply have him charge towards the direction he is facing. No ranged attack, but still relatively easy to use. Dribble and Spitz: They're pretty much similar to players in side-scrolling shooters, literally moving up and down hovering, and shoots the direction ahead of them. Mike: See above, but it's a top-scrolling shooter facing upwards. Red: See above, but it's an upside-down reverse shooter with attacking from above. Ashley: Similar to Dribble and Spitz, Mike, or Red, but she can aim anywhere. Very versatile character. -- Novice -- Young Cricket: Plays like a typical platformer character. Hold A to jump higher. Still not the most complicated character though. Ashley: Similar to Dribble and Spitz, Mike, or Red, but she can aim anywhere. Very versatile character. 18-Volt: Doesn't move, but you can have him aim his shots pretty easily. Think of a stationary shooter with aim-able control! Orbulon: Similar to Red, but has a Tractor Beam that attracts things from below like a magnet, requiring holding buttons to do so. The tractor beam really can come in handy. --- Intermediate --- Master Mantis: Similar to Young Cricket but if holding A button long enough, he jumps into the ceiling and treats gravity upside down until he jumps back to the floor. Jimmy T: Only moves by pressing and possibly mashing the A button and towards the direction you're facing. He's fast though. 5-Volt: Doesn't move by default but her spirit can be moved anywhere and she can teleport anywhere while releasing shockwaves. Can be a hassle to use on certain Microgames, on others, particularly ones involving getting to a certain point... Lulu: Similar to Young Cricket, but she can just keep jumping with the A button instead of charging high jumps and holding down on the control stick allows her to ground-pound. ---- Advanced ---- Kat and Ana: Similar to Dribble & Spitz, except they can't control moving up and right. They can still move to the left and right, and fires shurikens in one direction only similar to the taxi driver duo. Dr. Crygor: Similar to Jimmy T. but you need to hold the A button instead to keep moving towards a certain direction with the circle pad. Mona: Flies and can move anywhere, but she can't stop moving unless throwing a boomerang that can be controlled but will eventually return back to Mona herself. ----- Expert ----- 9-Volt: Moves non-stop left and right on the ground, briefly stops when throwing yo-yos above, which sometimes he needs to access higher platforms due to his inability to jump normally. Penny: Cute little scientist in a big world needs to know that her Jet Tank One fires the opposite direction of where the Control Stick is aimed and can hover and stay in one place mid-air with the A button. Whoops! Versatile character overall when played correctly, though. Water-based microgames are a joke to her. Pyoro: Can't Jump, only moves left and right, and extends tongues Diagonally and only diagonally. Arguably one of the hardest characters to use because of the inability of extending tongue straight horizontally or vertically, requiring to work around it.
Orbulon: 14:58 It is big brain time! 9 Volt: 1:50 Why am i the F tier? Lulu: 5:28 Yey Wario is gone Pyoro: 4:37 (pyoro sounds) Mona: 8:29 BeepBeep 18 Volt: 7:39 Oh Yeah Crygor: 13:05 Lets begin. Mantis: 6:49You chose wisely. Cricket: 6:48 Prepare for speed. Wario: 11:51 It's a me. WARIO! Dribble and Spitz: 11:05 Do you want a ride? Mike: 10:34 (Doing karaoke things) Red: 9:35 I am not scared-- Ashley: 15:40 YOU ARE A SCAREDY CAT, RED! Jimmy Thang: 12:33 Lets dance. Penny: 13:45 I give you Jet tank one. Kat and Ana: 3:28 Why are we E tier 5 Volt: 16:40 I am the most overpowered person ever! Yay S tier.
The problem I have with Jimmy T is that it's hard to have precision in his movements due to them being in short bursts (especially when it gets faster). I'd put him lower, since Crygor is much easier to control regardless of speed. Penny for me personally is much higher tier, since her attack is unquestionably the most rapid-firing in the game and the water element she has grants access to "shortcuts" in several microgames. The only downside is perhaps that she's hard to move around at first, but that's just something you can get used to. Oh yeah, and Orbulon is so OP
I cannot believe you put 5 Volt as the best... She is literally the 2nd worst in my opinion. We're so frequently switching characters, that any time I swap to her, it all happens so fast that it takes a sec to realize I can't move. Then once I realize which character I'm controlling, it takes FOREVER to hit anything. Very slow moving. There's only 3 or 4 of the 200 games that she's good at.
I think Mona should be higher because she can control 2 areas at a time with the boomerang, can retract it instantly, and is really mobile. Just a couple of things. I can list others but I’m too lazy lol
I hope direct character control comes back in future installments. It makes much better use of the cast and connects them directly to the games instead of them mostly being irrelevant.
Personally I love playing Lulu and Cricket, Penny is my favorite character to play.. but I don’t mind using any of the characters in the series, they all have their unique charm.
Finally! Someone who thinks 5-Volt is good! She is super easy! I know people keep saying she can’t win technical games. Well she can! She can actually do them very easily! They just don’t know how to use her yet! I’ve played almost every game with her, so nothing will change my mind!
My main disagreement here is actually Pyoro. I don't think he is too slow on the ground, and as long as you are aware of the angle of his tongue most micro games are pretty easy with him. He has one of my highest win rates. I would put him in A tier.
I feel like Orbulon should've been up in s tier with 5-volt based on how many games he can also cheese. I understand 5-volt's placing in s tier because of her instant win situations, but Orbulon is hard to lose with if you're trying to win with like, 85% of the microgames. The Jar and trash bag escape games are by far the worst for him, but in my personal tier list, he's an s-tier.
Here are some thoughts which are also based on playing the competitive party 2-4 player modes with my family: * 5-Volt - I think 5-Volt is too inconsistent to be top-tier. She makes a lot of microgames trivial, but certain microgames are pretty hard with her. Competitively she's not so great at stuff like volleyball or collecting fish where you have to move a lot. * Jimmy & Crygor - I would actually rate them lower because of their lack of a projectile weapon, which is bad for certain microgames. This is also problematic in the party mode because they don't have as many options. Also Jimmy can be a bit difficult to control compared to Wario. * Mona - I think Mona is just as good as any of the other flying characters. Her auto-moving isn't that much of a hindrance since you can stop her by shooting, and it's made up by the fact that her projectile is extremely good. (In party mode it is generally very strong, and you have perfect control of it). * Penny - Probably the hardest to rate because in theory she's probably the best flying character (her water is probably the best projectile in the game). But in practice her inverted controls make her pretty bad when microgames speed up. I think unless you can use her inverted controls perfectly at max speed she has to be alower. * Lulu - She's not great but I think she should be higher purely by nature of the fact that she can fly. In a lot of microgames and especially in the party mode just being able to move well I think is a big plus. I might even put her higher than Red because of how much easier it is to attack with her (you are punished a lot with Red if you miss). * Pyoro & 18-Volt - In contrast, I think their limited mobility should put them a lot lower. Obviously microgames are beatable with both of them, but because they can't move freely (Pyoro can move but cant jump) you don't have a lot of options. These problems are exacerbated a lot in party mode where their very linear movement options cause a lot of problems, especially for 18-Volt. In general - I agree with this list - flying characters > platforming characters > gimmick characters. But I think having a good projectile is undervalued, and the challenges from 18-Volt and Pyoro having to use rings is a little underestimated. 9-Volt is definitely the objective worst - although what I like about Warioware is that even he still has niches where he's useful. There's this one minigame where you compete to see who can paint the most on a sheet of paper, and 9-Volt wins for free because his yo-yo is extremely efficient at painting, all you have to do is mash. Also if the tier list was based on how much of a flex/meme it is to play as them 9-Volt is an EZ S-tier.
No love for Mona, literally just a better crygor cause you can be safe the whole time. I personally think she's the best character tbh. But hey tier lists are all opinions
I would actually love to see DLC characters, there’s a definitely a lot of characters they could pick but I think it would be cool if they didn’t limit themselves to just the Wario Ware series (okay hear me out) instead of just Wario characters (land and ware) they add other Nintendo characters, if that’s a possibility my man Waluigi could be added
I actually really enjoyed watching this, and I don't normally like tier lists. You did a wonderful job of explaining exactly how each character played and why you put them where you did! That being said, if they did do DLC characters... am I the only one who wants to see Jimmy Thang's family get some love? I mostly want to see James and Jamie, but still... if 5-Volt can get so much love, why not them?
Few things that I would change for me personally 1) I feel Like Kat and Ana should be F Tier and 9-Volt E Tier, I feel like Constant Movement is easier to control than constant jumping, and I prefer the Yo-Yo to the Shurikens that only go in 1 direction (also a problem) 2) Pyoro belongs in E tier, Not being able to jump with a Wonky Attack makes properly using Pyoro a Pain. 3) Mona in B Tier, Being able to attack in all four cardinal directions makes her so much more useful than the characters limited to 1 direction (Dribble, Spitz, Mike, Red, and Wario) 4) Ashley in S Tier, Her simply existing Pretty much Invalidates Every Other Flying Character because She has all of the upsides with no real flaws. She’s easily the most Well Rounded character for me. Thoughts?
I largely agree, however having played this game for HOURS already, I've found my assumptions/opinions about these characters changing. 5-Volt is not nearly as easy to use as I first assumed. There are SO many games that require careful, delicate touches (like the tipping ice cream game) and at high speeds or even low speeds, she's extremely difficult to use. And over time, I've found 9-Volt easier to use than I expected. Since most of the game exists UP THERE (above the character's head) he's actually really efficient if you've got timing. His yo-yo can one-hit most things. But there are some games he's almost virtually useless on, like his mom. So it's a mixed bag for both of them--a mixed bag that becomes more apparent as you play the game for longer. Orbulon is probably the best in my opinion, even though I don't like him and never use him. His mobility plus the fact that his tractor beam can essentially "cheat" on some games the way 5-Volt does. e.g. when you picked up the ice cream scoops in this video and just held them there, or absorbed the wizard's blasts to make dodging them completely unnecessary. My favorite character by far is Red, although I do agree with his placement. Orbulon isn't a better version of him though, I have to disagree. Red's explosions can accomplish many things Orbulon can't, like pushing stuff downward fast, breaking things, attacking sideways from the outward force of the explosion, plus the fact that its hit power is just incredible etc. Land a bomb on those guys throwing basketballs, or the wrecking ball, or the swiss roll and you'll see how much punch that bomb packs. That said he can still be tricky. Anyway, great video.
Oh also, maybe I just suck as Ashley but I find her hard to use because she has to start moving in the direction that she wants to shoot. Need to shoot up? Well, she's gonna fly a few inches that direction first, so you might get hurt on the way over. Need to carefully shoot multiple spells multiple directions? Suddenly Ashley is no longer hovering where you wanted her to be. I actually find Dribble' stability and ability to strafe more reliable and would take his bazooka over Ashley's slippery wand. Maybe I need to master the gentle "flick" trick to aim her wand without moving her.
@@MagicTurtle643 Way too few people are saying this. Try playing Friendless Battle or any microgame where you need to clear the screen of fog or several targets as Ashley, then try it again as Dribble by hugging the edge and strafing. It's no comparison. In Friendless Battle, I can't shoot a boss Jimmy as Ashley without moving toward him, and "closer to Jimmy" is the absolute worst possible place to be. Dribble can shoot him while either strafing or retreating as long as Dribble is left of Jimmy. Ashley does have a noticeable advantage, though. Some microgames benefit players who can exert upward forces. Others reward side attackers. Ashley can fill both roles. Dribble suffers in games where you need to force something upward.
I understand why 5-Volt is S-tier on your list, but there is a learning curve on many micro games with her. Of course teleporting to a place can easily finish many games, but in many cases you have to be aware of the hit box when you teleport. If you accidentally hit 2 targets when teleporting, while one might win you the game, you might lose bc you hit the other. Precision is necessary. You also have to take into account her falling after she teleports. This has messed me up sometimes. I agree she is S tier, but not always the easiest to use.
I like how you gave Penny proper credit while also not putting her at A tier or higher due to not being very easy to use. I feel that not enough tier lists think about practicality and ease of use.
I've had the game for a couple days now, and this would be my personal list: S - Ashley, Orbulon A - Mona, Cricket, Master Mantis, Jimmy, Wario B - 5-Volt, Penny, 18-Volt, Mike, Dribble & Spitz C - Crygor, Red, Pyoro D - Lulu, Kat & Ana F - 9-Volt
TBH, I actually keep forgetting that Kat & Ana can throw shurikens. But that's only because I'm too annoyed with their jumping to remember that while I'm playing. I don't really like using them more than 9-Volt. But just to have some positivity here, I do agree with what you think about Penny.
I notice a general way of predicting who will get the S-tier. The more control the player has, the better they are. Automatically ones (Mona & 9-Volt) can seem frustrating to use while the free-moving ones (Ashley, 5-Volt) are more enjoyable. Makes sense, WarioWare is all about completing microgames on a time limit. I'm a bit new to the WarioWare series, my first game was Move It but my first ever interaction was Gold…which I never played but I watched the whole game. The characters are all super unique and fun, I’d say WarioWare is on par with mainline Mario titles, just that WarioWare is more of a “party” game while Mario ranges from platforming, to party, to…drawin…and teaching how to do math. Well, I hope that WarioWare continues on and is a competitor to the Mario series. Yes, the Mario series have some great entries, but…its now always the top.
I think Penny should be A tier if not S tier, she has an infinite projectile that shoots at any direction in a good range and full mobility with the only downside that it's inverted but you don't really need to move much when you can use the water to reach things anyways.
The warioware’s cast of characters is far better than Mario’s gang of friends. The Mario characters tend to be all similar, while Wario’s gang of weirdos is full of diverse faces where each is different (except for obvious connected characters like the twins)
My F tier is Pyoro and 9 Volt. Reason why?:Because I tried Pyoro controls, it is so hard to target the ring using the tongue. Well 9 Volt too, it is too hard to shoot or target at the ring with his yoyo. My E Tier is Kat and Ana, Lulu Reason why?:Kat and Ana is so hard to use because they cannot stop jumping, and it took me 5 minutes to finish they're controls. And Lulu, ugh, just please i cannot explain it is hard to explain. My D tier is Wario, Dribble and Spitz, Crygor and Penny. Reason why?:Wario is good he punches things such as blocks and some other things. Dribble and Spitz, same as Wario, good. And breaks things. Crygor, he is like swimming underwater.😃 As for Penny she is a little bit good, she is hard to use because her controls are reversed. In Intro games, Seeing Stars, i lost because of Penny. High score:15 My C tier is Mantis, Red, Ashley Reason why?:Mantis, why i like him so much because he is a Ninja, he walks on ceilings. I have an Orbulon High score in Story:28. Red, he drops bombs and i like it but the problem is that you have to wait for 3seconds for his bomb to go back. Ashley, i like her too because she cast spells, and she is the same as Wario because she can break things. My B Tier is Cricket, Mike, 18 Volt Reason why?: Cricket, well he jumps high in the sky and i like it. Mike, he shoots notes upward and he is the same as Cricket, i like it too. 18 Volt, he shoots his disc everywhere, plus he cant move too. My A tier is Mona and Jimmy Thang Reason why?: Mona, she has an unstoppable boomerang(unless if Mona wants to stop her boomerang) and I like it. Jimmy T, he goes to the spot where his finger is pointing, Nice! My S Tier is Orbulon and 5Volt Reason why?: Orbulon is Overpowered in lots of microgames and he can use his tractor beam(Oinker) to suck or get things under. 5 Volt, a mother to the F tier child, 9 Volt. Well in some microgames such as the Garbage Bag Minigame in That's Life and the Jar Minigame in Food (well idk the names of the microgames)😃 she can just teleport outside the Jar or the Garbage Bag. Thanks for reading my comment. Please like my comment.😃
Update:
After some thinking, I've come to the realization that some of my placements may be a bit TOO high...

I agree
5 volt kinda sucks with Ashley’s boss game for example

There are many microgames where you can effortlessly reach 999 wins using 5-Volt.
This is true
The hardest part is keeping yourself awake to get 999 wins.
She's good at games where you have to get somewhere but not good at games where you have to get something else somewhere.
Loolololollo hahahahahaha I also confused.
Look, I know 9-Volt is F-Tier, but goddamn I wanted to play as him for so long that I’m going to main him no matter what. I’ll be the hungrybox of WarioWare if I have to.
Respect++
9-Volt earns you the most points of the cast when used in weekly challenges. Worth leveling him up (and learning to play as him so it matters ^^' ) for just that
Except jigglypuff is still S tier in melee. The Hungrybox comparison is a bit off lol
this comment hit very close to home for me
Some mircogames are actually more fun when using him, and somewhat easier too.
I think ashley is the best character overall since 5volt still struggles in some games. Ashleys only flaw is her moving along with the bullets. Penny is also very good but struggles in minigames where hitting the wrong target is lethal
Yep Ashleys pretty OP in the game not too strong but still pretty broken XD
Yeah. Luckily Penny has a lot of air momentum when you let go of the stick, otherwise those games would be impossible.
Also, for the 3x3 puzzle game, and a few other games, flicking the stick becomes essential.
Orbulon is, according to the Play-O-Pedia
I would Love if they can make Joe, Fronk and Doris 1 Playable characters!
-I think Joe deserved it for being a character that almost appears in every game of the franchise, also I enjoy his modest personality
-The interactions between 9-Volt and Fronk are pretty cute, Fronk acts like a parental figure and I love it
-Doris 1 can be a pretty cool adittion to the group of female characters since almost every female character in the game have a human design, meanwhile in the male group we can found a robot, a demon, a dog, a cat, etc. I think Doris 1 can bring more variety.
-Other cool options can be Jimmy's family or 13-Amp
I kinda wished for Fronk in this since he‘s the only one that had a minigame in Game & Wario but isn’t playable here
it’d be cool to have mona’s pets as well
And 13-Amp too
Joe who?
What About Leo?
I personally value consistency over excellence in one specific thing, and while 5-Volt easily dominates certain games, she struggles immensely with a few others. Characters like Ashley and Orbulon are more well-rounded in that regard, which is personally why I’d put 5-Volt in high B tier. That’s just my take, though.
After playing more microgames with her, I totally agree. If I were to make this tier list again, I'd definitely put 5-volt at the bottom of A tier and either Ashely or Orbulon in S tier.
@@BlazingVictini22 Ashley S-tier sounds about right.

On kitty business just teleport over the poop I found she falls like a rock and falling on it most of the time is enough to win
Another example are some boss microgames like Ashley’s boss microgame or maybe jimmy t’s climbing game
Exactly! She’s awesome for some, and almost unusable for others, it depends on the game
I agree with most of this expect A and S. IMO, Orbulon is just as OP as 5 Volt. For me, Ashley goes in A and Orbulon and 5 Volt both go in S
I did a tier list and put those three characters in the exact same tiers as you
@@bandibandibandibandi cool
Yep the only reason I lose with Ashley is bc I don’t know what to do in the mini game. Ashley is great for any situation where as 5-Volt accels in breaking escape type games,
But who goes in the higher end? Ima voting for the demon
Me: puts Penny and 5-Volt in Pyoro-Tier
A couple more dlc characters could be Joe and Doris 1
I won't buy the game until I see Waluigi with with a pair of crocs
I don't get why Waluigi doesn't get to be in WarioWare.
He's Wario's partner in crime for crying out loud!
Mike is an easy A, at the very least
I just want the stick to do anything for 9-Volt besides turning around on hooks. One idea that I had that wouldn't break his character design is to make the stick do yo-yo tricks that move the yo-yo around horizontally, and you would pull it back with another button press like Mona.
As for my few objections to the list:
I don't think 5 Volt is quite at the top.
If you were able to change 9-Volt's direction without having hold onto a hook, he would be a bit easier to control.
Or if you could walk the dog upside down, aka keep the yo-yo in the air.
Yeah I sometimes find her a little bit slippery to control too.
Considering that 5 Volt is a secret Pro Gamer (tm) in the WarioWare seires, it's poetic that she would be in a tier of her own.
Good stuff
13 Amp, Fronk, Wario Man and the other Jimmy's are my picks for dlcs
For dlc characters I’d love to see fronk or the space bunnies, always loved those little creatures
Same thing with pyoro 2’s pyoro
5-Volt is the best WarioWare character in general.
Attractive gamer mom who surpasses her son as a hardcore gamer, as well as a supernatural being who can transcend the state of matter and mind. I'd be upset if she isn't overpowered in this game.
Aww.
Just looking back at what she did in game & wario proved she was better at gaming than 18 volt and his own son so if you think about it she doesn’t scare his son because he’s rebellious oh no she scareohim because she knows 9 volt wants to beat her moms score and 5 volt can’t allow that can XD
Man y'all sleepin on Orbulon and Ashley
@@daytongamerx4506 Literally everyone loves Ashley.
Although I agree on some level with your placement of 5-Volt, but I really tend to get her at the worst times possible, so she often ruins my runs, because I get her at Microgames which need precise and fast button inputs.
i think 9-volt could be fixed by simply letting him change direction when attacking
I feel like 5 volt is either the absolute best or painful.
U HAVE TO TRY WARIOWARE
In certain microgames, she's absolutely broken, but there are a couple where she really struggles to complete them.
Grab the demo
@@twilighttiger2368 I feel like I mostly get microgames that are incompatible with her
i see a lot of people talking about 5-volt, and which hypermobile characters should rank where, but damn, justice for my man young cricket! he is super fast, and super consistent, which comes in very handy in a lot of the wario cups. and while he might not be as versatile as ashley or orbulon, his simplicity makes him pretty consistent. if anything, id say hes at least better than mantis, because theres just too many games where the jump to the ceiling is too big of a risk, with too many obstacles or too little time. i find that it actually makes it harder to maneuver around the stage fast the way his apprentice can. but truly, people are sleeping on cricket!
I think 5-volt is good but I’d say she’s more situational, if there was a situational tier, her and the other two volts would go there
Except her son is mediocre at best in any given situation
Conclusion: The most important in wario ware; Is the player!
Personally I find that 5 Volt is rather average, the damage of the teleportation is not precise, it is a very big explosion, which could be very bad for some minigames where it is necessary to be precise. In addition 5 Volt drops, after a teleportation, which can be a big penalty for some mini games, (and she can neither teleport nor move when she falls.)
(It is true that she can finish 2% of the mini games without any difficulty, but it is only 2%)
(I personally think it's better to use a character that has NO flaws like Ashley rather than 5 Volt.)
(I would also have placed Red a little lower, Kat and 18 Volt a little higher, and Lulu muuuch higher)
Somehow this also feels like a tier list of wario ware's most powerful entities
I would really like if Jimmy P was a dlc
5-Volt has one major weakness, and that's continuous motion. Any task that is made easier by moving continuously is much harder with 5-Volt. For instance, the rock-climbing boss game from Jimmy's zone, the present-untying game, or the handcar microgame.
As a minor weakness in multiplayer, while you're lining up her teleport, her body is a sitting duck for incoming damage.
5-Volt is not S tier lmao, yeah she can win a lot of microgames easily but when there is some microgames that its complicated for her thats a life taken for you without much thing you can do about it
You didn't name a single micro game that she struggles at. Don't just say random stuff for no reason, support your claim
@@sergeantguy4404 pretty much anything where you have to apply constant contact to, i.e. Orbulon's boss microgame and the one where you have to spin the swimmer's arms
My thoughts ~
Cricket & Mantis: I personally don't buy that Mantis is the better of the two, the fact that he will stick to nearly any ceiling-like surface means that in a lot of microgames that require multiple jumps (think the water pipes in That's life or the Breath of the wild one) his ability ends up getting in the way more often then not.
It should also be mentioned that the boomerang is exceptional at pushing things (like the rubber plug in the drain game or pretty much any microgame about turning a wheel.)
5-Volt: Gavino already made a comment on her here saying most of what I had to say as well, so I won't spend much time on this.
Co-op
Mom is only using 1% of her power.
Young Cricket is basically the Little Mac of Warriorware in my opinion. He has the most human function of only jumping but don’t take my word on it.
5-Volt: *Exists*
Precision and Accuracy games: I'm about to end this woman's whole career
penny is actually fun to use, some people get annoyed by it. As a person who has driven a car before, I know how to use Penny, it’s just like driving a car in reverse
I've been driving for a decade and still have trouble with her. I almost never drive my car in reverse
Very bad analysis 😂 she’s not really the best character to use
@danbam3411 She can cheese a lot of microgames, but has trouble with a lot of other microgames.
Orbulon and 5 Volt are the best combo of the game. One is perfect for tool and object manipulation, the other one for escaping game
Coincidentally this is almost how I rank the characters aesthetically
Don’t tell me your list has 9 volt on the bottom too
@@kileyrushforth9233 I would make the bottom tier named "Penny and 5-Volt"
Honestly, I think orbulon is the best character in the game, not exactly because of his consistency, but of how many microgames you can cheese with him, take the piggy bank microgame or the dark room microgame, like you can do so much with orbulon and with the fact that he can fly just makes him better
I think that for the most part of these are fine but
Ashley: I feel like she's a beginners trap.
I can’t stand Jimmy! I’m barely a serviceable player and cannot control him for crap.
I'd say for these tier lists, it's not a character trivialising microgames that makes them top tier, but it's dependant on how many microgames destroy them and their game plans, I feel as though with your list, Cricket and Mantis are somewhat underrated as they are quite versatile, they just don't trivialise much either, alongside this I feel as though 5-Volt should definitely be beneath both Ashley and Orbulon due to certain weaknesses in certain microgames, and I even think that due to some minigames messing with his skillset, I'd say Dribble and Mike have a decent shot at being at the same level as Orbulon, finally I think Ashley is the best character because 360 movement and 360 projectiles leaves her with nearly 0 microgames that feel difficult with her assuming you know what she's doing
i personally would switch 9 volt and kat and ana, but thats just because at least 9-volt gets handicaps to some microgames to balance out his gimmick
@@ethnictendo you see then it would make sense because the gamer character can dash dance.
I agree with most of this, but I have a few changes:
-Pyoro is better than LuLu because LuLu isn't fun.
Was for tthe microgame gamer in warioware for wiiU
You say "Smash Bros", I read "Game & Wario's Gamer mode".
It's more because she had her own set of microgames in WarioWare Gold

THATS IT I WILL PUT CRYGOR AND 9-VOLT IN S-TIER AND 5-VOLT AND PENNY IN F-TIER
I feel like Mona should be in B tier because you cannot only move around but you can also controlling by throwing the boomerang in any Direction
Ashley has always been my favorite character, so I'm pretty happy with this list.
This game is top tier in general
To me, I'll give Penny an F tier, she's pretty hard to use for me since her movement is "opposite" to other characters and her movement has momentum, which make it much more difficult in many occations. I failed many microgames when I get her.
Lulu can propell herself in an "ok" speed.
In wario ware, an "ok" isn't enough
I know I’m late to the video but I honestly think Cricket and Mantis are underrated here. Both have great air mobility and ground speed which allows them to reach the corners of the screen super fast. Also, their jumps are pretty powerful in their own right. I don’t think they’re better than Ashley or Orbulon but I do think they’re better than Jimmy/Crygor at least
e: I do want to also add that I think Cricket is distinctly better than Mantis as I feel like getting stuck to the ceiling is more often a hinderance than an asset.
- Beginner -
Wario: Simple flying controls.
-- Novice --
Young Cricket: Plays like a typical platformer character.
--- Intermediate ---
Master Mantis: Similar to Young Cricket but if holding A button long enough, he jumps into the ceiling and treats gravity upside down until he jumps back to the floor.
---- Advanced ----
Kat and Ana: Similar to Dribble & Spitz, except they can't control moving up and right.
----- Expert -----
9-Volt: Moves non-stop left and right on the ground, briefly stops when throwing yo-yos above, which sometimes he needs to access higher platforms due to his inability to jump normally.
You had Ashley in your list twice. Once in beginner, and once in intermediate.
Orbulon: 14:58 It is big brain time!
9 Volt: 1:50 Why am i the F tier?
Lulu: 5:28 Yey Wario is gone
Pyoro: 4:37 (pyoro sounds)
Mona: 8:29 BeepBeep
18 Volt: 7:39 Oh Yeah
Crygor: 13:05 Lets begin.
Mantis: 6:49You chose wisely.
Cricket: 6:48 Prepare for speed.
Wario: 11:51 It's a me. WARIO!
Dribble and Spitz: 11:05 Do you want a ride?
Mike: 10:34 (Doing karaoke things)
Red: 9:35 I am not scared-- Ashley: 15:40 YOU ARE A SCAREDY CAT, RED!
Jimmy Thang: 12:33 Lets dance.
Penny: 13:45 I give you Jet tank one.
Kat and Ana: 3:28 Why are we E tier
5 Volt: 16:40 I am the most overpowered person ever! Yay S tier.
Can you please tell me what this microgame is, i have not seen this before. 15:27
Time for 9-volt and 5-volt to swap places
The problem I have with Jimmy T is that it's hard to have precision in his movements due to them being in short bursts (especially when it gets faster). I'd put him lower, since Crygor is much easier to control regardless of speed.
Penny for me personally is much higher tier, since her attack is unquestionably the most rapid-firing in the game and the water element she has grants access to "shortcuts" in several microgames. The only downside is perhaps that she's hard to move around at first, but that's just something you can get used to.
Oh yeah, and Orbulon is so OP
I really can’t control Jimmy T well..shame.
I want to play games at bed time in front of 5-Volt
Don't do that
5-Volt:💥👄💥
u ded
I think Mona should be higher because she can control 2 areas at a time with the boomerang, can retract it instantly, and is really mobile. Just a couple of things. I can list others but I’m too lazy lol
I absolutely agree 5-Volt and Ashley are GOD-tier
I hope direct character control comes back in future installments. It makes much better use of the cast and connects them directly to the games instead of them mostly being irrelevant.
Yeah, I agree with this. It also adds a lot more variety as many of the microgames feel quite different depending on the character you are using.
I haven't gotten too deep into the story yet, but for the most part my favorites are Mona, Dribble & Spitz, and Wario.
"every character has STRENGHTS and weaknesses"
penny, 18 and 9 volt: hold my joy-con
Here are some thoughts which are also based on playing the competitive party 2-4 player modes with my family:
* 5-Volt - I think 5-Volt is too inconsistent to be top-tier.
Crygor is better at pushing things than the boomerang tho
They did 9-volt so dirty he’s gonna need 3 baths
I would actually love to see DLC characters, there’s a definitely a lot of characters they could pick but I think it would be cool if they didn’t limit themselves to just the Wario Ware series (okay hear me out) instead of just Wario characters (land and ware) they add other Nintendo characters, if that’s a possibility my man Waluigi could be added
WIULD THTA MAEN ONE OF THE RH CHARACTERS WOULD BE ABLE TO BE PLAYABEL IF IT AVTUACLLY WAS
I actually really enjoyed watching this, and I don't normally like tier lists.
I'm glad you liked it!
Keep an out for the next video, I may or may not be talking about potential DLC characters I'd like to see ;)
@@BlazingVictini22 ooo!
Mona is so inconsistent tho... for every game she cheeses, there's 1 she can almost not complete
Few things that I would change for me personally
1) I feel Like Kat and Ana should be F Tier and 9-Volt E Tier, I feel like Constant Movement is easier to control than constant jumping, and I prefer the Yo-Yo to the Shurikens that only go in 1 direction (also a problem)
2) Pyoro belongs in E tier, Not being able to jump with a Wonky Attack makes properly using Pyoro a Pain.
3) Mona in B Tier, Being able to attack in all four cardinal directions makes her so much more useful than the characters limited to 1 direction (Dribble, Spitz, Mike, Red, and Wario)
4) Ashley in S Tier, Her simply existing Pretty much Invalidates Every Other Flying Character because She has all of the upsides with no real flaws.
@@justanothergamer9570 Couldn't have said it better myself.
Good to see that not only your LBP content gets known.
9-volt was done so dirty in this game!
I've had the game for a couple days now, and this would be my personal list:
S - Ashley, Orbulon
A - Mona, Cricket, Master Mantis, Jimmy, Wario
B - 5-Volt, Penny, 18-Volt, Mike, Dribble & Spitz
C - Crygor, Red, Pyoro
D - Lulu, Kat & Ana
F - 9-Volt
Mike, dribble & spitz and red should be A tier
Oh and also put crygor at A tier and put Pyoro, 5-Volt and Penny in F Tier
Jimmy can spam the dash so hes super fast and hes super versatile making him s tier imo
TBH, I actually keep forgetting that Kat & Ana can throw shurikens. But that's only because I'm too annoyed with their jumping to remember that while I'm playing. I don't really like using them more than 9-Volt. But just to have some positivity here, I do agree with what you think about Penny.
the one walnut measuring minigame with 5 volt is an actual nightmare though. she's either fantastic at minigames or miserable at others
Pyoro showed up and All I said about him to my little sister was “Is that the Duck from the Lemonade Stand Song?”
My E Tier is Kat and Ana, Lulu
Reason why?:Kat and Ana is so hard to use because they cannot stop jumping, and it took me 5 minutes to finish they're controls.
Crygor, he is like swimming underwater.😃
As for Penny she is a little bit good, she is hard to use because her controls are reversed. In Intro games, Seeing Stars, i lost because of Penny. High score:15
My C tier is Mantis, Red, Ashley
Reason why?:Mantis, why i like him so much because he is a Ninja, he walks on ceilings. I have an Orbulon High score in Story:28. Red, he drops bombs and i like it but the problem is that you have to wait for 3seconds for his bomb to go back.
Ashley, i like her too because she cast spells, and she is the same as Wario because she can break things.
My B Tier is Cricket, Mike, 18 Volt
Reason why?: Cricket, well he jumps high in the sky and i like it. Mike, he shoots notes upward and he is the same as Cricket, i like it too. 18 Volt, he shoots his disc everywhere, plus he cant move too.
My A tier is Mona and Jimmy Thang
Reason why?: Mona, she has an unstoppable boomerang(unless if Mona wants to stop her boomerang) and I like it.
Jimmy T, he goes to the spot where his finger is pointing, Nice!
My S Tier is Orbulon and 5Volt
Reason why?: Orbulon is Overpowered in lots of microgames and he can use his tractor beam(Oinker) to suck or get things under.
The fun thing is that, generally, the lower on the teirlist the character is, the more fun they are to play.
Personally, Lulu would be my S tier. I just feel like she’s good for everything. I feel like I rarely lose with her.
Also she’s cute.
Slime Time: nope lol
5-volt is f Tier
9-volt is S-Tier(superior yo-yo and skateboard boi)
*talking abt penny*
Backround: SHES GOT HER HAIR TIED UP IN BRAIDS AND GLASSES PERCHED OP ON HER FACE PENNYS A SMALL GIRL TAKEING ON A BIG WORLD
I don’t get how 5 volt is so broken
Any turn mini game I play with her never works
