I accidentally referred to Dr. Cywes as "Gary", rather than "Rob". I had just been looking at my bookshelf and had seen the book "The Case for Keto" by Gary Taubes...
When my cousin and I were little, she was diagnosed as being hyper (1970's). Her Dr. was an older guy, and he told her mom to give her a half cup of coffee every morning. It worked to control the hyperactivity and calmed her down enough to concentrate when she needed to.
that was a great doctor. my brother in the 70's was put on Ritalin. He was supposed to NOT take it during the summer and school vacations per the doc, but my parents kept him medicated so as not to deal with him. He is now a 50 year old drug addict. the ritalin was stopped cold turkey when he barely graduated high school with no taper off and no counseling. he sought drugs to make up for it. sadly they will someday find him in a horrible situation.
My son, who is in his mid-20s, weaned himself off his ADD meds a.few years ago. He has said if he needs a bit more focus, he can drink strong black coffee. He said it is not as good as the men's but it gets the job done.
@@visualketo5369 that’s genuinely one of the saddest things I have ever heard. A perfectly whole person being slowly dismantled from a lazy physicians mismanagement of trust. I am truly sorry for both you and your brother.

Thank you for commenting that, I made it 23 days and just so sad and I wanted to sleep and felt hopeless. I got Starbucks this morning lol just not ready for a lifetime of depression.

Hahaha that was so funny Steve! I laughed out loud In the office while watching this. Whatever works for you who are we to judge. You do you! Thanks for the update! On a selfish side, I failed a few days into this challenge so I feel a little better. 😀☕️
I can totally relate to you on this one Steve. When you decided to do this challenge I was curious how it would turn out for you. I've given up coffee in the past for a few weeks at a time but have never stuck with it because I never felt there was a downside to drinking it and as long as I enjoy it I see no real reason to stop. Thanks for keeping it real!
After 9 days coffee (caffeine) free, I have set a 2 cup a day habit and it is perfect. No lethargic behavior but also no bad side effects of the full pot habit. I am happy for you (and me).
Maybe you can try if , I mix 1 bag Colombian and I bag decaf. It does still taste very good but yet no caffeine problems.I only drink cold coffee black and no addition . Anyway just a thought as I have Been drinking mine for years . Thanks for all your you tube shares .
Actually LOL to the coffee cup reveal! Appreciate your experiment and yet another way to find stuff out about yourself. As someone recently diagnosed with ADHD I’ve learned over the past few years that 2 pods of regular coffee is my sweet spot. Less is not good and more just ramps up the anxiety and ADHD. Switch over to decaf after that with a cut off at noon. As always love the content…and the shirts 😂
CONGRATULATIONS STEVE!!!! Welcome back to coffee!!!! I do applaud your courage and willingness to experiment to see how different foods/substances affect your health, even when you know the test will probably not be fun. So happy you're feeling better!
Hey Steve! I’m glad you found out what worked for you. That’s all that really matters. I am still curious what dose of caffeine is needed for you to feel the effects you desire. In my mind it’s no different than fine tuning a pharmacological ADHD stimulant/non-stimulant dose. If you decide to figure it out, I hope we get some videos on it! It can’t be any worse than the last few weeks right? As for those that are upset that Steve started using caffeine again, please be kind to his situation and his choices. Not all brains are wired the same and some of us need support to be the person we want (or need) to be. I applaud Steve for recognizing his needs and choosing a more natural option (and tastier IMHO) than a dextroamphetamine, amphetamine, dexmethylphenidate or methylphenidate. Yes studies have shown that there are downsides to treating ADHD with caffeine, but have you seen the effects the other drugs have! I guess what I’m getting at is: Be Kind, everyone is going through something you know nothing about. Thank you Steve for bringing us along for this journey. I hope all is well with the entire SK clan. Be well my friend 🙏
Thanks for the info. I watch Dr. Cywess but had some how missed that particular video. I am definitely a coffee drinker. I always had the attitude that 'if loving coffee is wrong then I don't want to be right'. 🤣 Thanks for all your videos and information!
You do you! Whatever works for you is all that matters! Glad you found out what’s good for you. I give you kudos for trying. I’m on half caff coffee but that was a personal choice for me. I love coffee, tea, soda with caff and I also drink water with lime. I choose whatever I’m in the mood for. Be happy…we only go around this world once! Enjoy life ❤️❤️❤️
Welcome back 😆! Sorry about the period of sadness. I have tried giving up coffee in the past with the same lethargic results. I limit it to one delicious mug (same size you are holding) and I, too, use it instead of ADHD meds. I think it’s a gift from God😅🤣🥰. You’re honesty is refreshing. Thank you!
I support you, Steve.... Lots of stuff we ingest can increase endorphins or whatever so it's always best to do what your body is telling you (and let others do what theirs dictate). I've always appreciated your pragmatic approach and I commend you for being open to trying new habits and see how they suit you. To me, it's better to have a cup of coffee than suffer through life.
Kudos to you for challenging yourself to no caffeine. You never know until you try. I am not as brave as you are. Not sure I could make it as long as you did.
ROFL, @2:14, giant mug of coffee! Too darn funny. I'll bet your family is glad to have you back as well! I have learned from this challenge and comments about how stimulants work in our bodies to actually calm us and help us focus even though at first glance it seems counter intuitive. Thanks Steve, this was helpful.
Thanks Steve for keeping it real. It's good to try things, but you don't have to suffer. I originally dedicated this month to no coffee or alcohol. In the last week of March I realized that wouldn't work this month because of too much muscle and incision pain from my surgery. Sleeping sucked. Well, I started the PK Beauty and Sleep Collagen the first of April. Almost immediately my sleeping improved. The collagen really seems to quiet my mind. As the month progressed I realized that the improved sleep has made me less dependent on stimulants or depressants. I drank very little alcohol and less coffee than I used to . I came to the same conclusion as you... coffee is not a bad thing in moderation. More sleep has led to less pain and stronger muscles. Thanks for introducing us to PK Sleep collagen. And thanks for encouraging others to try something new. Sometimes when you do, what you find out is not what you expect... it's actually much better!
I feel for you. Do what's right for you. The ones who say it's an addiction are the ones that can't look away from their phone for 10 sec. or stay off social media. Onward and upward.
Lol…I laughed out loud when you announced that you were back on coffee. Glad to hear this challenge/experiment taught you something new….as all challenges/experiments should. Thanks for all that with us.
I ♥️♥️♥️My ☕!! Would NEVER give it up for anyone or any reason 😍🥰😋☕. So Happy for you Steve that you're back in the Coffee Lovin Team. WELCOME BACK BRAVE ONE 😁 🎉🥳🎉🥳 😁👍
Yaaayyy! You made me laugh. If folks consider coffee a vice, then we all can have one. Don’t forget to try La Columbe iced Brazilian brew as a treat. Heat it up if you don’t like iced.
Didn't expect to cackle watching today's video, but you got me! Appreciate the update, this honestly helps me feel a bit better about my own caffeine habit. If caffeine doesn't negatively affect your life in a meaningful way, but it's lack thereof does, then I say go for it! :)
I do enjoy Dr. Cywes, I found him through 2KK. In my checklist coffee is more in the good side than bad, plus it brings pleasure to my day. Glad you are feeling better this week. Also glad you are pragmatic! ☕️
Yes, I noticed on your video yesterday how alert you were. I was wondering and then thought maybe he got over the hump. I saw Dr Cywes' video. I appreciate him. I was recently in the hospital for an emergency surgery. I had an NG tube for about a week. No food, no liquid. That first cup of coffee was like nectar to me. I am in recovery for a six week period. I'm so glad to be home after nine days in the hospital and drinking my own coffee! By the way, I was able to watch your videos and keep encouraged. Was definitely not Keto in hospital. I'm slowly getting back now that I'm home! Thank you Steve for this video! Glad you remembered the diagnosis from years back. I'm anticipating good news on the health stats update next week. And so glad you are sleeping!
I gave up coffee for over a year and I don't even remember the reason behind that decision. I had no ill effects from no coffee but you know what I really enjoy coffee in the morning. So I went back to coffee and love my morning time ritual. It is wonderful to follow our own heart and happiness and I am so happy you followed and honored your bliss.
OMG - I laughed so hard when your coffee mug appeared. You really had me fooled. Thought for sure you were going to say you had come out the other side of coffee withdrawal. For me, I’m happily addicted! Coffee=Joy It makes my day!!
Being a type 2 diabetic, I haven’t noticed a different whether I drink coffee or tea. Except for one - my blood glucose seems to be lower when I drink green tea versus drinking coffee with cream.
as I watch im having my 1st coffee. I believe coffee for me is necessary, that its good for me is a bonus. i applaud you for knowing your limits. And its a stimulant, but its Good for you. 💞🙃
'm so very proud of your life choices...for yourself...as it is to be. A favorite quote “Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself.” Richard Bach
I was so happy to see you quit this challenge. When you held up your cup, I laughed and said thank god. One of my kids has ADHD and the first time I was convinced was when they had a Mountain Dew before a soccer game and were focused on the game, instead of, Ohh look, squirrel.
The good thing is you experiment and are able to know what works for you. I myself experiment a lot so that I know what I'm talking about when sharing information, and of course what worked for me since everyone is different. This coming July will be 2 years since I last drank coffee. That's over $2500 a year in savings for me. Thanks for sharing your story.
My partner, who has ADHD, suffered in the same way when she tried to quit caffeine. She couldn’t focus at all. So she has two cups a day and all is well with the world. I’m glad you listened to your body and went with what works for you.
Article from Johns Hopkins on 9 reasons why coffee is good for you (you asked f/info) 1-You could live longer. Recent studies found that coffee drinkers are less likely to die from some of the leading causes of death in women: coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. 2-Your body may process glucose (or sugar) better. That’s the theory behind studies that found that people who drink more coffee are less likely to get type 2 diabetes. 3-You're less likely to develop heart failure. Drinking one to two cups of coffee a day may help ward off heart failure, when a weakened heart has difficulty pumping enough blood to the body. 4-You are less likely to develop Parkinson's disease. Caffeine is not only linked to a lower chance of developing Parkinson’s disease, but it may also help those with the condition better control their movements. 5-Your liver will thank you. Both regular and decaf coffee seem to have a protective effect on your liver. Research shows that coffee drinkers are more likely to have liver enzyme levels within a healthy range than people who don’t drink coffee. 6-Your DNA will be stronger. Dark roast coffee decreases breakage in DNA strands, which occur naturally but can lead to cancer or tumors if not repaired by your cells. 7-Your odds of getting colon cancer will go way down. One in 23 women develop colon cancer. But researchers found that coffee drinkers - decaf or regular - were 26 percent less likely to develop colorectal cancer. 8-You may decrease your risk of getting Alzheimer's disease. Almost two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease are women. But the caffeine in two cups of coffee may provide significant protection against developing the condition. In fact, researchers found that women age 65 and older who drank two to three cups of coffee a day were less likely to develop dementia in general. 9-You're not as likely to suffer a stroke. For women, drinking at least one cup of coffee a day is associated with lowered stroke risk, which is the fourth leading cause of death in women.
It was interesting to hear your sharing about your coffee journey. The ups the downs. I was commenting on a comment and was listening to you as well. The responses that people have are priceless and always show the level of their cup that is dry or runs over. 🥰 I think that just putting yourself out there and sharing your journey and efforts is an awesome thing to do.. isn't it strange indeed that sometimes when we reach out to someone to support and help them that we receive support and help? ... amazingly beautiful and with the word tools that I was given for my comment, (vertically minded.)..wow!!!! Prayers have just been answered. Overcoming what needs to be overcome...😉 There's my 3 cents. 😉🙏💜🙏😉 Keep on keeping on brother.
It’s really positive that you discovered that caffeine is important for your overall well being. Good job! A 3 week experiment worth the gain of knowledge! I gave up coffee and caffeine other than chocolate, about 9 months ago, reluctantly. I was having so much trouble sleeping. I still adore coffee and I hope that someday I can resume consuming it.
So glad all is right with the world again! I can only imagine going that long knowing how annoyed I would be. It's really the only thing I can say I just could not let anyone take away from me. If I can take a couple of minutes and have a good cup of coffee, I can deal with anything that might be going on in my life. I am glad you experimented and tested and saw differences, and surely different people would have different results, based on their individual body chemistry and even blood types. There are probably people who feel the same about their tea.
Many years ago, I decided to join the Morman church to do so I had to quit tobacco, alcohol, and coffee at the time I worked in a casino. The tobacco was not too bad the alcohol was easy, the coffee was by far the most difficult, it took about three months, I worked swing shift and about 10:00 I was ready to curl up and go to sleep every night. Never had a problem after that and of course today I do not have to worry about the prices at Starbucks.
Bwuahahaha 😁 😁 😁, that was sooooooooooo hilarious when you talked about the feeling *without* coffee/caffein and that you are not feeling quite good .... and then everything turns out better again .... just because *taaaddaaaaa* you are drinking coffee/caffein *again* 👍👍👍!! Honestly I started drinking coffee just because of keto almost 2 or 3 years ago - didn't liked it before and only drank water or tea ... buuuuut now - I never want to miss it again 🥰🥰🥰😁😇☺️!! Best wishes and sunny 🌞🌞🌞 greetings from Germany, Ela 🤗
I have been using the Freestyle Libre for almost a year and I have probably 1 out of 4 sensors have very poor readings, either too low or too high. I am getting to the point of maybe not using it anymore. Furthermore, I have called Abbott on every occasion and after much back and forth discussion they send out a new sensor for no charge. Still, it is a pain when I get inaccurate readings and need to then check with a finger stick blood reading.
I hope that Levels Health switches to Dexcom when the next version (#8?) comes out. When the Freestyle works, it works great; but a 25% defect rate is unacceptable. Even when they do work, I find the first couple of days can be pretty wonky with high readings.
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEW you should go back on coffee--WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You get a GOLD STAR for the great try. Now you know more information about you and your body. So happy to see your smiling face again. Doing the happy dance for you right now ~ Paula
Steve! If i want to drink coffee i am doing it. I changed my whole life to do keto. I am not going to restrict the one thing that keeps me on track. I even quit smoking. If i want coffee i'll have it. ☕💪 ........................ 😎👍👍
My son has ADD and has always found caffeine to help him think more clearly. Even in addition to taking his ADD meds. It’s almost like it relaxes him, and helps him to focus on one thing at a time. Thanks again for pointing out that we are not all the same. If caffeine is helpful for a person, good for them!👌
Many years ago I read an article that posited that if everyone in the US gave up caffeine, the country would grind to a halt, because there is the possibility that most of us are on the top half of the ADHD/ADD scale. I also have a friend who used to work as a school nurse, and at lunchtime, the children with ADD/ADHD would come to her office for their afternoon dose of coca cola.
The most I've ever done without caffeine in the last two decades was probably a week or so if that. I love that you try out new things and push yourself without feeling the need to "just push through for the sake of it" if it doesn't actually make you feel better or benefit you. Also, I was watching this while sipping cup two of the day, so there's that haha.
I would have a huge problem giving up coffee. Would like to give up the heavy whipping cream I put in it, but having problems with that. I'm happy I don't like sweet drinks and sugar seemed to always crash me so no problems giving sugar up. Just keep on being you and do what you need to do . . . so cheers to the coffee! Klink!
😂😂😂😂 man i lost it when you brought the mug out! we probably wouldn’t be where we are as a society without the stuff so screw it. i only drink it a few times a week because any more than that and i NEED it, which i don’t like the feeling of, but boy do i love my cold brew when i get it 💙
@@lindamikesell6390 i just get a regular cold brew from my local coffee shop (shout out to baby’s coffee in the florida keys!) but it’s plenty strong!! so good 🤘
I'm the first one to admit that I am a coffee addict however I have to say I have experienced the same issue with the dawn effect that you did, on days that I skipped my coffee or cut it back substantially. shortly after that my morning glucose numbers go up by 20 points
Thanks for the update, last time I made a serious attempt at no caffeine, it was not pretty. I made it thru the screaming headache phase to the what's the point of no fun, no caffeine. I'm on a 2 cup morning coffee with an afternoon booster cup dose. Live with a song in your heart and a good cup of joe to start your day. 🙏🌞👍
So after a few week of no caffeine when you had your first cup of coffee were you seeing sounds? 🤣 that’s why I give up coffee for a week or 2 on occasion. That first cup is pure magic❤️ If you function better with coffee then why not drink it? You do what makes you happy and ignore the Debbie downers.
Whew! Welcome back to coffee! It was worrisome to see you in self- inflected distress. I appreciate your effort, and I'm glad you chose to end the misery.
I just caught you on Google! I have been on Keto for about 3 years! I have never used a blood glucose monitor! The orig.point I started protein pwd.in my smoothies with Mct oil! The next thing I took away was gluten and added sugar! I am 75 years old and take antidep.meds, and blood thinners! If you if have any suggestions, pls.advice! Thanks I cannot lose weight!????
If I were to do zero sweets, I’d probably just do carnivore. That may still happen at some point this year (or maybe next January for “carnivore month”).
I am so relieved that you did such a great experiment with coffee. I have experimented with the use and non-use of coffee over the years and also found I function much better drinking VERY weak coffee all day. Just a cup of strong coffee makes me jittery. I have ADHD i like the taste and smell of coffee . Weak coffee through out the day keeps me functioning, uplifted and focused. At least it is a natural drug, if one chooses to call it that.
Haha! Great plot twist! 😆☕ I need caffeine, too. Not a lot, but I feel dull and struggle to focus without it. I'm glad you did this so you can be sure that coffee is healthy for you.
As my mom used to say, "better living through chemistry..." and you have done the experiment and found your results. Like you, I did the caffeine/no-caffeine bit a while ago and determined that caffeine is my friend. Thanks for sharing your journey! :-)
Good for you Steve, you gotta do what's best for you! My Grandson was diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age, he is on meds, which were just recently changed. If he runs out of meds, he will drink some Mt Dew and it will calm him down.
Wow Steve people can be so weird and judgmental! Glad you found what works for you. Sounds like giving up alcohol has been a much more positive experience. I gave up caffeine both times I was pregnant and for sure I started coffee again after! You do you, happy for you. 😊
when I wore a freestyle CGM, I would calibrate it to the finger stick readings if it started showing numbers I didn't expect. better than replacing a sensor that costs a pretty penny.
I looked into it, and I may be confusing the Dexcom CGM with the Libre. I only ever did the trial and 1-mo of Libre before my insurance insisted I switch to Dexcom. After controlling glucose thru Keto, I stopped using that too. According to Dr Google, there is not way to calibrate the Libre, and the only solution is to get Abbot to replace a faulty sensor.
I knew as soon as you started talking about things getting better what was coming! 😆 thanks for the laugh! Sad that you feel you have to justify your decision
I am with you, Steve! I had the same experience and now I don't blame coffee for anything except if I overdo it. I believe coffee fixes more things than it breaks.

I feel for you. Do what's right for you. The ones who say it's an addiction are the ones that can't look away from their phone for 10 sec. or stay off social media. Onward and upward.
LOL. I was thinking that for a lot of folks, their "addiction" is being self-righteous and judgmental all day long on social media. 😄
@@SeriousKeto LOL That's why I stay away from Twitter.
Lol…I laughed out loud when you announced that you were back on coffee. Glad to hear this challenge/experiment taught you something new….as all challenges/experiments should. Thanks for all that with us.
Welcome back to the caffeinated life Steve!! It so much more worth living!! Lol Kudos to you for challenging yourself and knowing your limits. 👏👏
I'm so glad you saw the Dr. Cywes video; I was going to point it out to you this morning. I'm a Kindergarten aide and I need my energy. LOL
I literally cheered out loud ! lol welcome back !!
Great video Steve. I'm on the 'I returned to caffeine' side of the house. 😊
I do enjoy Dr. Cywes, I found him through 2KK. In my checklist coffee is more in the good side than bad, plus it brings pleasure to my day. Glad you are feeling better this week. Also glad you are pragmatic! ☕️
do u consume caffeine by other means like preworkouts or energy drinks? which work better for you?
Sometimes I’ll have a RockStar Zero.
Hoping for your speedy recovery.
@@SeriousKeto Thank you Steve me too!
Good for you! What a huge difference in your video performance. Hurrah Steve is back in action 😀
You do you! I love coffee and I know it’s the one thing I would never give up.
Very interesting! Do you put cream in your tea as well?
Yay you, welcome back!!!
Proud of you Big Chief! , coffee = POISON!👍🏻💚💚💚
That's pretty much the opposite of what I'm saying in this video.
I busted out laughing when you said you started coffee again. Anything in moderation for sure. :)
as I watch im having my 1st coffee.
Wow. Your coffee budget was almost as big as my alcohol budget back when I drank. 😄
My partner, who has ADHD, suffered in the same way when she tried to quit caffeine. She couldn’t focus at all. So she has two cups a day and all is well with the world. I’m glad you listened to your body and went with what works for you.
Pouring me some press coffee as I’m watching this. The aroma is amazing!! Kudos to you Steve for being so strong and using great will power.
Article from Johns Hopkins on 9 reasons why coffee is good for you (you asked f/info)
1-You could live longer.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Do you have a link to this article so that I can bookmark it for future reference?
Good for you! Do what is best for yourself! ☺️
Keep on keeping on brother.
Welcome back Steve! You look waaaay better on caffeine.
Enjoy the rest of the Month Steve. I’m looking forwards to whatever comes next.
Good for you Steve🤗
Bwuahahaha 😁 😁 😁, that was sooooooooooo hilarious when you talked about the feeling *without* coffee/caffein and that you are not feeling quite good .... and then everything turns out better again .... just because *taaaddaaaaa* you are drinking coffee/caffein *again* 👍👍👍!!
Honestly I started drinking coffee just because of keto almost 2 or 3 years ago - didn't liked it before and only drank water or tea ... buuuuut now - I never want to miss it again 🥰🥰🥰😁😇☺️!!
Best wishes and sunny 🌞🌞🌞 greetings from Germany,
Ela 🤗
@@SeriousKeto The problem for me is that the Dexcom is 3 to 4 times the cost of the Freestyle and my insurance does not cover either one.
Good for you! You look better and your demeanor is noticeably improved. Good experiment.
Steve! If i want to drink coffee i am doing it. I changed my whole life to do keto. I am not going to restrict the one thing that keeps me on track.
I even quit smoking. If i want coffee i'll have it. ☕💪 ........................ 😎👍👍
Good
My son has ADD and has always found caffeine to help him think more clearly.
I love this video 😀☕🥰🤗
I would have a huge problem giving up coffee. Would like to give up the heavy whipping cream I put in it, but having problems with that. I'm happy I don't like sweet drinks and sugar seemed to always crash me so no problems giving sugar up. Just keep on being you and do what you need to do . . . so cheers to the coffee! Klink!
I’m glad to hear you extended grace to yourself to enjoy coffee. ☕️☕️☕️☕️
This is the best comment
Welcome back brother. Hale the bean.
😂😂😂😂 man i lost it when you brought the mug out! we probably wouldn’t be where we are as a society without the stuff so screw it. i only drink it a few times a week because any more than that and i NEED it, which i don’t like the feeling of, but boy do i love my cold brew when i get it 💙
Cold brew is the best for me also. Do you get the nitro cold brew? My favorite when I go out for coffee.
@@lindamikesell6390 i just get a regular cold brew from my local coffee shop (shout out to baby’s coffee in the florida keys!) but it’s plenty strong!! so good 🤘
I love Dr rob cywes ! He helped me understand my carb addiction and why I need complete abstinence from trigger foods
I'm the first one to admit that I am a coffee addict
however I have to say I have experienced the same issue with the dawn effect that you did, on days that I skipped my coffee or cut it back substantially. shortly after that my morning glucose numbers go up by 20 points
Good to see another data point. Thanks for sharing.
That first cup is pure magic❤️
If you function better with coffee then why not drink it? You do what makes you happy and ignore the Debbie downers.
It wasn't a psychedelic experience, but I'm pretty sure I said out loud to my coffee "I promise I'll never leave you again." 😄
@@SeriousKeto 🤣
Lol! You look so much better. Carry on...cheers! ☕️
I'm more of a cooking and experimenting on myself sort of guy. I'm really not qualified to give individualize weight loss advice.
Bless your heart, Steve! I’m glad your torture is over! Much respect and love!
Curious Steve, did you try a zero sweet challenge? I've done 10 days and feel ok. Though probably because I didn't quit coffee.
I have ADHD
i like the taste and smell of coffee .
I was going to send you Dr Cywes' video. I loved it because I am PRO coffee!
Glad you're back. I fell off on the 1st day!
i think the trick would be to reduce coffe very slow over the course of 3 or even 6 months
This is what I'm doing, mixing my grounds with decaf and Teeccino herbal coffee a slow process but then quitting is hard
Thanks for being our guinea pig! Glad to see you happy again!
Kudos for trying this challenge. Three weeks is amazing. Cheers from Canada.
As my mom used to say, "better living through chemistry..." and you have done the experiment and found your results. Like you, I did the caffeine/no-caffeine bit a while ago and determined that caffeine is my friend. Thanks for sharing your journey! :-)
I will now be referring to my coffee as a supplement :)
Yea.....Steve's back....Yippie! ☕
Good for you! You know your body and what is best for you.
I'm glad you are feeling better. I try to limit my coffee, but find a cup or two per day works well for me. Thanks for all you do.
How do you "calibrate" it? I don't see that function in any of the menus.
@@larsenjbl thanks for checking. I recall reading that the Dexcom could be calibrated.
I knew as soon as you started talking about things getting better what was coming! 😆 thanks for the laugh!
Sad that you feel you have to justify your decision
Sad that there's such an abundance of self-righteous, judgmental people that gravitate to my comments section...
I am with you, Steve! I had the same experience and now I don't blame coffee for anything except if I overdo it. I believe coffee fixes more things than it breaks.
