One thing I forgot to mention in the FAQ is "can you substitute anything for the psyllium husk?" The answer is, "vital wheat gluten, maybe...". I tried subbing in 1 tablespoon of vital wheat gluten for the 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk. The results were pretty chewy, but no flavor of psyllium husk. So, if you are put off by the flavor of psyllium husk, I'd recommend trying 1/2 TB of VWG. Also, I found that you can add up to 1 tsp of cheddar powder to give these a nice flavor without making the batter too thick. Finally, if you have any lumps or ridges on your tortilla after it cooks, you can pat those down with your fingertips while it's still warm. I don't recall if I mentioned that in the video.
I cannot comment directly to YT videos, but I can reply to someone else's, so thanks for this comment. As a Milwaukee resident, I want to share a relatively new resource that you, as a Waukesha resident, might not be aware of: the grocery store, Cermak, imported from Chicago is located on Miller Park Way, not far from the freeway's ball park exit. They specialize in imports from various cultural cuisines, and that branch has a tortilla kitchen that makes the most-delicious tortillas I have tasted. Yes, they are not keto-approved, but I still use them as an occasional 'cheat' food. They also have an imported olive bar near the deli, excellent sausages, and a superior produce department that features unadvertised, well-priced vegetables, berries, and fruit. The Barkley location does not have the freshly-made (often, still warm) tortillas, but they do stock 2-dozen packages from the larger MPWay store.
Steve, I just discovered that this tortilla recipe actually lowers my blood sugar. I am a type 2 diabetic and have trouble with high morning blood sugars. This morning I ate one of these tortillas with two eggs and some cheese as the filling. My blood sugar dropped from 133 to 117 in one hour and to 105 in two hours. For kicks, I ate another tortilla at lunch. My blood sugar started at 119 and in one hour it was 94. These tortillas work better than metformin!
@@SeriousKeto I am hooked! My fasting blood sugar was 20 points lower this morning! My blood sugar was 125 after lifting weights this morning. These are the best and very easy tortillas to make. I made them and he decided he wanted to fry his. He fried them in some olive oil and salted them. They came out nice and crispy with great texture. The strange thing is that fried up in the olive oil, these tortillas had a corn flavor.

Dinner tonight, y'all! I just got done eating my first 90 second microwave tortilla. It was with turkey and cheese. Delicious and so so easy. Well done Serious Keto. Well done. Sandwiches has now returned to my lunch menu. Thank you.
I'm laughing my head off right now. I worked to hard searching for a whey protein isolate that was unflavored so it would be a savory tortilla instead of vanilla or chocolate. But I didn't look at the psyllium husk at all and it's orange flavored! I cooked them on a plate with plastic wrap and it worked great. Enjoying my very orange flavored tortillas.
I just made one and used 1/2 tblsp each of lupin and vital wheat gluten. I used 1 tblsp almond flour and 1/2 tblsp of vanilla whey protein. I put mine on parchment paper and microwaved. Once out, I added spices and fried it lightly on stovetop in lightly buttered pan. Not bad! I think they would be best for enchiladas but as a quick lunch or breakfast they would be ok. Ok, I must add- I just made one for hubby and added 1/2 tblsp cheddar cheese powder. Half and half instead of HWC.after frying it lightly I added leftover taco filling and added avocado, mexi mix cheese, green onions and sour cream. He loved it!
Does the vanilla come through because I only have vanilla / eggnog protein powder at the moment. If it does I can go to the bulk store and just get a bit of unflavoured.
Hey Steve! Loving this Tortilla. I made a Quesadilla with one last night for dinner and made another at work today for a breakfast burrito. I hadn't realized we were out of Heavy Cream at work and I substituted unsweetened almond milk with no problems and couldn't tell much of a difference. Just thought I would let you know that almond milk will work in a pinch. Thanks for all you do! 😁
My boyfriend-in-law is a new diabetic. For a year now we have all been learning how his body works now. Covid helped, because we stayed home and cooked there was less processed food. You Tube has helped us find recipies and channels that we love. Yours very quickly became one of our favorites. Because of your Chaffles we have purchased a mini waffle maker and I have taken your basic recipe and tweaked it in a variety of savory and sweet options. French toast is bread-less and tasty! Thank you for your ability to explain how the Keto works with the body. We are getting most of my bf-in-law's days under 60 carbs over the 3 meals. Thank you!
I made a post couple years ago and had to revisit this recipe. Need to get back into a better keto lifestyle. I did as instructed but ran out of heavy cream so used keto mayo with a touch of water and worked! My plate 6” so tortilla was about 1/4 “ thick. Then used our larger plate 7” and thinned out for nice wrap. Then thicker one I can use for mini pizza. Thank again for all your work.
Hey Steve, I dont know if you still get notifications of new comments, and I haven't seen if anyone had mentioned this in the comments section, but I used pork rind powder in place of the almond flour, to cut down the carbs a little further, and it worked out perfect for me! I didn't notice any change in flexibility or durability, and the flavor was still right on schedule. I LOVE everything about this tortilla! Being half mexican, I do need to wrap things in thin flat bread from time to time, and this recipe has revolutionized my keto diet, and made breakfast not stupid anymore. Thank you so much for this recipe!!
I am super excited about these tortillas, and now I'm happy that they're almost carnivore, and still amazing!! I applaud the work you do, thank you for everything sir
I haven't found a carnivore replacement for the psyllium husk. It's possible that beef gelatin might work, but I've done about all of the experiments I can handle on this recipe.
Hahahaha! Yeah I imagine making 50 different versions of the same recipe would wear a guy out. I'm good with the psyllium husks not being carnivore, I figure just a tablespoon shouldn't cause any major worries. Plus I'm not on carnivore anyway
I love “insanely simple” recipes that are impossible to screw up….that’s right up my alley! I am allergic to wheat and gluten in general but still love the simplicity of this keto recipe. Good job!
So I know I’m late to the party, but I just wanted to share that I tried this tortilla for the first time today and it came out perfectly! Thank you so much Steve. This will be my new go to. 🙏🏻
Great FAQ Section! Steve, you really put a lot of work covering all the questions and alternative baking and substitutions questions we viewers would ask. Even that part is a job. So far, I've been happy with the Egg Life tortillas from Walmart that are zero carbs and come in different favors, but I'd like to try these. I'm not a big bread/ flour lover, but I sure do miss tacos and quesadillas. I think we stay on our low carb lifestyle better when we can substitute our favorites with healthier options, than just avoiding those meals. Avoidance makes me break down and eat what it's healthy for me. These healthier version of the foods we love, allows me to enjoy food again and relax knowing it's okay!
I like the EggLife too (review coming soon of all 4 flavors). But they still work out to about 80 cents each. I feel like these gotta be cheaper. Plus, the texture is SO MUCH like a masa tortilla.
You Tube wouldn't let me comment earlier when I watched this, but that's okay cause it gave me a chance to try it out first. This is a real game changer Steve. Loved it, and so quick to make. It took exactly 60 seconds in my microwave. It was a tiny bit thick in the middle, so next time I will tilt the plate to even out the tortilla. I'm so happy because I can't find low carb tortillas in my city, now I don't have to look anymore. One happy camper in Canada.....thanks so much. By the way, the tortilla released just fine, no prying or anything, mind you it didn't slip off the plate, but not hard to release at all.
Wow! One of my staples at home is carnitas which I eat with either cheese or egg wraps! This one may be the holy grail of keto tortillas for me! I just need to get a couple of those dry ingredients and I’m good! Thanks for the many experimentations before this final vid! Much appreciated!
Shredded pork tacos for breakfast today. Only need one, So filling! I baked one in a glass pie pan in my toaster oven. 275 for 8 min or so. I liked it better than the microwave version.
Tried it using very old psyllium, very old CA Gold protein powder. I was amazed!! I did one of my old favs hot ham and cheese on a tortilla. If I had not made it myself I would not have been able to tell the difference. A tiny bit rubbery, but tiny. Another winner!!! Thanks dude. If I had had your recipes when I 1st started low carb about 1973 I would have been Mr. Universe. Back then if I had asked for almond flour in a store they would have laughed at me. Not to mention the tons of good sweeteners we have now. Thanks again!!
Well this will be my go to for sure. I think you answered any question anyone could have. I’d love for this to be included in a microwave tortilla battle! Y’ALL!
I really like that you tried to preempt all the questions. I have two questions but I'll try those out on my own. This looks like something I can handle to cook up a few for supper.
This is really a fabulous video! The recipe, the FAQ, the taste test... I was looking for a tortilla recipe and this one seems just perfect! Thank you so much! ☺️
Just ordered the whole psyllium since I only have the powder form. It gets delivered tomorrow. A batch of Maria Emmerichs “refried beans” (eggplant, bacon, onion and spices) and this tortilla will be great!!! Thank you Steve!
I think you just changed my life with the Maria Emmerichs "refried beans". I've been wanting to make a more filling burrito than just a lot of taco meat and cheese and this sounds awesome.
Yes Bruce her refried bean recipe changed my life too. I’ve made it for non keto family and they loved it…they didn’t know it wasn’t beans. It’s now a weekly staple in my house!
That’s exactly what I was thinking when I saw this tortilla!!! The original mock refried beans recipe years ago was by someone else and made with zucchini but everything else is the same. I can’t do eggplant so I make the zucchini ones. They freeze really well too so I make up batches in one cup containers.
Just made this and wolfed it down...absolutely superb. Just taking time out to comment before making another. GENIUS !!! Truly beats all store bought ketofied tortillas or low carb online tortillas.
@@jcgetz84 I ate one of the tomato basil tortillas and they are tasty but I think It spikes my sugar so I’m going to try this one with the Psyllium husk.🥰
It's uncanny how close my Keto journey was to yours. I was 21 stone in June 2020 and in ten months, I lost 103 pounds. Great recipe - also consider mixing the same ingredients into a mug and microwave for 2 minutes - it makes a sort of muffin/cake thing, which can be sliced into two halves and browned on a frying pan. I then melt cheese over both halves. Thanks for uploading this.
These are a game changer for me! I can finally eat sandwiches. Bless you brother. Thank you so much for posting this. I have been on keto for 8 months now and lost 80lbs but been cheating to get a sandwich in now and then. Now I can eat one guilt free. Thank you again
I finally tried this today. My batter was thicker than yours and I had to spread it out with the back of a spoon, but still it worked well. Next time, I'll thin it out a little. I had just about given up on bread substitutes because the bread taste would always overpower the filling. Not so with this one. I really enjoyed the sandwich I made with it. Thanks so much for bringing this to us. I can't wait to make enchiladas!
Thanks for finding this. I followed it exactly and found it a little bland and thick. Next time I added a 1/4 tsp of salt (kosher) and a tsp extra of cream and lightly fried a thinner version in a little bacon grease. That worked better for me.
I laugh every time I see this video because of how much easier it is now that you gave us the idea of using the silicone rounds (rather than the plate). Even YOU grow and evolve, and it's really helpful for us to see the differences. I have really enjoyed making these, and I like them even better after frying them on each side in olive oil, to give them a browned, toasty exterior (while retaining their durability and elasticity!) This recipe opened up my favorite food (Mexican food) to me again! Thank you!
@@ivorykeys1566 it is similar to a large, rectangular, silicone baking sheet, but instead is round, 9 inches in diameter, and you would place it on the glass turntable of the microwave. It takes the place of the white plate and the tortillas peel right off!
I love the fact that you have exact measurements and that you are a scientist. I can relate. You are thorough and leave nothing out. great video. I have subscribed to your channel. Kudos
Steve, you are a champion in the Keto world, seriously! No pun intended. I cannot thank you enough for all the time and effort you put into your research. I really trust your judgement on recipes and product reviews!

In case anyone wants a smaller taco, I did split this into half. I had to microwave at 50% power for 60 seconds. Kind of like a street style taco. I also tried subbing 46g of egg whites (about the weight of one whole egg) and it also worked. color looked better with whole egg, but tasted fine with just egg whites too.
This has become my go-to tortilla. The other night we went to a neighborhood party that had a taco truck. My husband got himself two beef tacos and me two chicken tacos. I took one of these microwaved tortillas with me and dropped the chicken mixture of both tacos into it. I gave my husband the taco shells and he had double taco shells on his beef tacos. Mine was just amazing. So delicious, and to me didn't taste at all like I didn't get the tortilla taste. Nothing was missing. These are awesome! Game changer, for sure!
Btw I love your videos and your knowledgeable way in the kitchen. A heads up on this particular product. Lupini's used to be sold back in the day everywhere. The Italians would pickle them and sell them in jars. They have a high allergy profile. So be careful giving this to little kids that won't know how to express that they are experiencing an allergic reaction. And or with guests in your house who you may not be aware might have an issue once they eat this. But this, is probably the most comprehensive answer to making low carb tortillas! I really love this recipe!
I am so happy about THIS recipe!! I have a Mexican husband who keeps buying corn tortillas behind my back!! 🤷 Then he stashes them in his man cave chillerator! I'm gonna try this recipe so we can stay keto. 🙋
We postponed our Taco Tuesday waiting to see what you were going to bring us. I’m glad I waited. Thanks again for trying out the egg white powder. (I love the nod to Wes @Highfalutinlowcarb, “Sift y’all!”) 😉
I had messaged him to ask him for permission to use a clip of him saying that, but he hasn't gotten back to me, so I figured I'd just put my own little nod to him in there.
The "Quest for the Ultimate Keto Tortilla" is definitely a thing for us Keto folks...I'm going to try this recipe this weekend! I still really like my lupin "flour" recipe for tortillas and it also allows me to use my cast iron tortilla press which is just so fun to use. But I'm always looking for a good recipe that quicker and easier. Thanks for sharing Steve!
The thing is, real flour is a magical thing. That one ingredient can take a half dozen or more "keto" ingredients to come close to emulating it. We have to make tradeoffs for keto, but I think this tortilla still comes close for folks. I hope you enjoy it. PS - Place the silicone round off center on your microwave's turntable to keep from having an undercooked part in the center. 🙂
Thanks, Steve…and the guy that provided the recipe. Seems brilliant and I look forward to trying it. I just bought ground psyllium husk but will look for the whole. And I don’t have whey powder (I do but its vanilla flavored so clearly not an option!). BTW, after a previous video I clicked on the link for the whisk. It is truly a game changer! So much easier and faster than a regular whisk. Thanks for continuing to peak my interest on that item. Very much enjoy your channel, and seeing your family members from time to time!
Hi Steve. I made this twice, 1st with coconut flour in place of almond (didn't realize I was out), that turned out poorly. 2nd I followed you exact recipe, it was flawless. This is the best recipe I've found so far. It makes the best tortillas. Thank you for sharing it.
Well you sir you are a genius! I made two this am using this original recipe (I did watch the other) and they were delicious! We thought it tasted like a mild corn tortilla. That is something since we grew up on some of the best Tex Mex in the world…San Antonio, Texas. Now we have been living in Houston forever! You made our brisket and egg breakfast tacos awesome!
Thank you for evaluating different tortilla options. Based on your early research I have been using the La Banderita tortillas for my wrap substitutes (readily available on often on sale). I use the large 10" one in pairs with a mozzarella cheese between as a base for stuffed crust pizza, I use the medium 8" ones as a pita substitute for keto falafels and wraps, and the small Zero street tacos as a holder for everything from sandwiches, tacos, hot dogs and enchilada casserole. I use the 8" and 4" in combination with one on top and the other bottom around a cooked hamburger and fixins and heat in a frying pan to make a Taco bell style crunch wrap. Looking forward to you Tortilla Keto champion Part 4
Michelle Rock was the first low carb/keto-er I found on RUclips and this was the first recipe I ever tried. It is still my go-to and I am definitely going to try using Keto Chow!!
Great videos Steve! Your tortilla and pizza videos are unique and liberated me from cauliflower! I really love the way you use the heart chef emoji to show you saw the comment. Most RUclipsrs do not that!
This is gonna be a game changer for me for my taco cravings. Even perhaps will try frying it in lard to make nachos. Thanks for sharing this simple recipe.
I have come to trust your reviews and recipes. I tried this one today because you show in your face if it tastes good. So, even tho all I had was half & half I did it and made a quesadilla. Was pleasantly surprised. Thank you
I also am searching for the perfect keto tortilla, as a child my Mexican grandmother would give me a fresh corn tortilla, slather it with butter and salt and send me to heaven, I will certainly try this!
I saw your video months ago but I'm horrible about making comments. I'm more the thumbs up kinda person. But this recipe and all the updates on it have been a real game changer. I've been brought up on beans and tortillas and these fit the bill. They really do remind me of the tortillas we made with masa harina. So now that I found I can eat soybeans and these tortillas, I'm back! Another point about making homemade foods is that I found when buying low carb tortillas, they make me inflamed and gain weight. So, thank you for making this and other wonderful videos. Loved the pogo whisk but to be balanced in my spending (because I love kitchen gadgets) I have to tell myself that I've lived without it so far and I can continue to. But in all honesty, I have it on my Amazon wish list. Maybe my husband will see it and get it for me. I better leave some really good HINTS.😜
Aahmazingggg!!!! Looks like a corn tortilla, tastes great, very flexible, doesn't crack. Best Keto recipe yet... But then, I'm still a newbie. Thank you. Love your channel.
I used this recipe to make a quesadilla, but first sprinkled some Himalayan pink salt and a light dusting of garlic powder on the finished tortilla. It was so yummy!
Finally able to secure whole psyllium husk and silicone rounds today.... to discovered I only had vanilla protein powder. Doh! But I didn't let that stop me and charged ahead anyway. It still worked great! Vanilla flavor made me think of crepe like deserts ....yum! I have a feeling this is going to be a regular in my house and possibilities are limitless.
Hi Steve, just made it with coconut cream and vital wheat gluten. Bravo!!! Thanks to TJ and low carb dad. 🇳🇮 I found that letting it sit for a minute helped loosen the tortilla, just like loosening a cake out of the pan. You wait a little bit for the tortilla to finish cooking. after the microwave finishes, it will continue cooking 1/3 of the time that it cooked in the microwave). Cakes loosen better from the pan after waiting 5 to 10 minutes We are having burritos tomorrow night. I was starting to get anxious about having to make tortilla dough. Now I see how simple the tortillas are, I am excited about tomorrow nights dinner.
Regarding the plate release question, I was thinking about maybe parchment? Unless the hot dog bun wanders into my -live- life, I may have use this to make a sort of Polish sausage burrito or coney dog / chili cheese burrito, etc.
That's exactly what I was thinking.....this doesn't really do it for me to replace a masa tortilla, but I immediately thought about making a chicago dog or a southern dog using this as the "bun" "wrap" thing.
@@stonebkkp Yeah, I really miss a chili cheese dog. When summer comes around, I get that itch. I also make a Polish sandwich with a chancake bun, or if I don't want to make the chancake bun, I have a perfectly sized small casserole for the microwave. I split two polish sausages almost all the way through and heat them with the cheese flat across them in the casserole. Then I apply the sauerkraut and if I'm really into authentic taste, it may need a little mustard and caraway (instead of rye bread), but it generally needs to be at least ground up. PS: IMO, the combination of a couple Teton Rivers Ranch 100% grass fed Polish sausages and sauerkraut is a really healthy start, and a healthy cheese makes it a meal (still looking for a good whole raw Swiss, but for now, it's usually havarti.)
From the original recipe authors notes, at this point I was only able to prepare them on plastic plates. There is something in porcelain plates that provides a product that sticks to the plate, even though it has been greased before entering the microwave
This is so great to find the 90-second tortilla. I make it with pork rinds. I have made enchiladas with them. I fed my daughter she said they were great. Now I can eat Mexican food I can think of so many things to do with them. I don't have to buy and use things I don't like. Thank you
Since you said they don’t have the corn flavor it struck me about adding a corn flavor extract. Or if you were doing this in a dessert fashion adding a sweet type extract🎈 thank you as always Steve🎈 have a super weekend🥳🦋🎈
This the greatest, most thoureau video I’ve ever seen on such a simple recipe. Most respect! Also, this really is SERIOUS keto. Could even call it Deadly Serious Keto.😂 I appologize for not being serious.
Just made this recipe my husband and I have been on keto for two years now and this is amazing! We love the tortilla will be making many many more times thank you!!
I went with 1 tsp of Psyllium husk fiber instead of the husks and two TB of almond flour without the whey protein because it's what I have on hand. It still worked for my greatest tortilla desperation but yours looks better. I'll have to get the whey protein for sure.
Tried making one of these today.... really easy, obviously quick and very yummy!! Filled mine with a little sloppy joe. Thanks so much. Love the channel.
ima definately try this, ive been trying different tortilla recipes and havent had much luck understanding how much of which types of flour to use and i just prefer not dirtying dishes like the food processor, an addition i thought of was maybe you could use parchment paper under the tortilla to keep it from sticking without using spray, it may not work and may make it a weirder shape, but could work. Also if it goes well i may batch the dry ingredients. Thanks for the ideas.
Hi Steve. I am new to your channel. This is the first recipe I made from your channel. They turned out great! They don't taste like really anything by itself, but using it as a taco....WOW! I think it tastes better than a regular high carb tortilla. I had to use Psyllium powder instead of whole husk, as that was what I had on hand. They were a little rubbery, but I still enjoyed them. Thank you for all your ideas and recipes. You channel is making my Keto journey easier and tastier.

I just did pork rind powder this morning. 👍🏻
Has anyone tried these to make enchiladas?
I love “insanely simple” recipes that are impossible to screw up….that’s right up my alley! I am allergic to wheat and gluten in general but still love the simplicity of this keto recipe. Good job!
This is perfect. We really struggle on containers for food, especially Mexican. Other recipes require a huge production. I can’t wait to try this.
So I know I’m late to the party, but I just wanted to share that I tried this tortilla for the first time today and it came out perfectly! Thank you so much Steve. This will be my new go to. 🙏🏻
This makes me very happy to hear. 😊
Maybe you have a superior Canadian plate. 😉
Glad it worked out for you.
THANK you so much, STEVE, for all the trials you perform -- from which we ALL benefit!! 😁😎😃☺️
Well this will be my go to for sure. I think you answered any question anyone could have.
I’d love for this to be included in a microwave tortilla battle! Y’ALL!
Loving the Wes from highfalutin low carb reverence. Nice!
One of the things that I really miss is tortillas. So this is at the top of my want to try this weekend list. thanks so much for doing this
@@MichaelTheophilus906 for me flour with burritos, etc, and corn with rellenos, enchiladas, etc.
Ooooo! Where can I find that recipe?
That’s exactly what I was thinking when I saw this tortilla!!!
The original mock refried beans recipe years ago was by someone else and made with zucchini but everything else is the same. I can’t do eggplant so I make the zucchini ones. They freeze really well too so I make up batches in one cup containers.
Thanks for digging deeper on substitutions. Sometimes certain flavors just aren’t good on the tongue. Quick and simple recipe! Yay!
Very creative. I don’t own nor use a microwave, and I appreciate that you gave the griddle a try, saving me the trouble!
Just made this and wolfed it down...absolutely superb. Just taking time out to comment before making another. GENIUS !!! Truly beats all store bought ketofied tortillas or low carb online tortillas.
So glad to hear!
So excited for this 🙌🏻 the store tortillas spike my glucose and this looks nice & easy!
I was curious, have you tried the carb balance tortillas?
@@cozy_king The Mission ones? Yep! They hate me haha but delicious
@@jcgetz84 I ate one of the tomato basil tortillas and they are tasty but I think It spikes my sugar so I’m going to try this one with the Psyllium husk.🥰
@@cozy_king yep, they knock me out of ketosis for some reason
It's uncanny how close my Keto journey was to yours. I was 21 stone in June 2020 and in ten months, I lost 103 pounds.
Great recipe - also consider mixing the same ingredients into a mug and microwave for 2 minutes - it makes a sort of muffin/cake thing, which can be sliced into two halves and browned on a frying pan. I then melt cheese over both halves.
Thanks for uploading this.
That made my stomach growl a little. 😄
Very happy for you. From Arizona, USA
Hmm, maybe with the chocolate or vanilla flavored wheys it would be a good breakfast and coffee muffin!
Love this video format, and love that you put so much research into this. I can trust that this recipe is perfected.
Awesome! I haven't made enchiladas with this yet, but a number of my viewers have told me that they have and that it worked out great.
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Please, explain any the Silicone Rounds, I just saw this recipe.
Wow, thank you!
YEEEEEEEES Steve, I trust your judgement on everything you post. I'm just very thankful to have found your videos. You help me stay on my keto journey MUCH better!!

Thank you 🥰
In case anyone wants a smaller taco, I did split this into half. I had to microwave at 50% power for 60 seconds. Kind of like a street style taco. I also tried subbing 46g of egg whites (about the weight of one whole egg) and it also worked. color looked better with whole egg, but tasted fine with just egg whites too.
Thanks for sharing!
Looking fantastic Stevie boy. And thanks for another great video luv from the 🇬🇧 UK
Loved your call out to Wesley! Sift Ya’ll!!
Totally works and is good! Made it, added shredded cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, and chicken. Was excellent! Thank you for sharing!
Glad you liked it. 🙂
So glad to hear. 🙂
Your FAQ answers were very helpful. And thanks for all the alternate testing.
@@SeriousKeto He and I follow many of the same RUclips channels. I’m sure he’ll comment when he sees it.
@@SeriousKeto seriously excellent advice 😉
Really looks good and simple . I am
for sure going to try it. Thank you
Steve you are so good at figuring
all these things out. 😋
Thank you for all that you do from Ontario, Canada.
Glad you liked it. I made a couple myself yesterday. 🙂
Wow! No reason for anyone not to try this recipe.
Out goes the ground beef for tonight.
Fantastic!
Thank you for the mention Steve! Those look so good 👀😊
Michelle, you're missed! Hope you're doing well. I remember your video making a tortilla. I used your recipe.
@@nancyjackson8690 ♥️♥️♥️♥️ promise I’m coming back.
Probably November
Yes, yes, yes! I needed this recipe in my life. We eat Mexican food weekly and I have been dying for something like this!!
Not just Mexican. It can be used as a wrap for whatever you’d put in a sandwich.
This tortilla is what I've been looking for. Thank you SK and TK
Michelle Rock was the first low carb/keto-er I found on RUclips and this was the first recipe I ever tried. It is still my go-to and I am definitely going to try using Keto Chow!!
♥️♥️♥️
Great videos Steve! Your tortilla and pizza videos are unique and liberated me from cauliflower! I really love the way you use the heart chef emoji to show you saw the comment. Most RUclipsrs do not that!
I figure if folks like you take the time to leave a comment, you should know that I took the time to read it. I appreciate your kind words. 🙂
I don't know that anyone will make the "perfect" keto tortilla, but I'm pretty happy with this one.
I bet this will taste GRAND slathered with butter and salt!! ❤️🥰
For the corn flavor get corn extract from Amazon. Add a few drops.
Thank you the kind words and I’m glad you’re getting some mileage out of this recipe. 🙂
This looks good, and super easy...so naturally I'll be trying this. Thanks Steve!
Another tortilla winner - cannot wait to try it! Sounds perfect when I do not have time and everyone else is non-keto
Thanks Steve! Room temperature eggs also tend to be less eggy tasting. That was from you also I think :) Cheers.
That is great !
Aahmazingggg!!!! Looks like a corn tortilla, tastes great, very flexible, doesn't crack. Best Keto recipe yet... But then, I'm still a newbie. Thank you. Love your channel.
Can't wait to try this! So simple and I actually have all the ingredients.
I used this recipe to make a quesadilla, but first sprinkled some Himalayan pink salt and a light dusting of garlic powder on the finished tortilla. It was so yummy!
Eating one of your tortilla’s right now....you and TK are geniuses. Thank you both
You are always so professional, so prepared, great presenter.
I'm not tortilla guy (not my culture), but it looks like I can use for many things. Curently I'm using flax seed + water wraps. Thanks!
Thank you, I have been using Keto Chow for a lot of recipes, it works well. Keep them coming. Happy Father's day
Thank you!
Crepes! 😋
Love it thank you !
Hi Steve, just made it with coconut cream and vital wheat gluten. Bravo!!! Thanks to TJ and low carb dad. 🇳🇮
I found that letting it sit for a minute helped loosen the tortilla, just like loosening a cake out of the pan. You wait a little bit for the tortilla to finish cooking. after the microwave finishes, it will continue cooking 1/3 of the time that it cooked in the microwave). Cakes loosen better from the pan after waiting 5 to 10 minutes
We are having burritos tomorrow night.
I made this recipe tonight and made two smaller tortillas on a saucer . Used them for my hot dogs and they held up great with toppings!
@@jessiep2931 Great to hear, thanks!
From the original recipe authors notes,
at this point I was only able to prepare them on plastic plates.
Thank you
I didn’t have psyllium husk so I substituted flax meal. It worked great! 😁
Wow, how timely for me! I just made some experiment tortillas yesterday that were terrible. So I'm trying this today!
Since you said they don’t have the corn flavor it struck me about adding a corn flavor extract. Or if you were doing this in a dessert fashion adding a sweet type extract🎈 thank you as always Steve🎈 have a super weekend🥳🦋🎈
I thought about adding some corn flavored extract myself.

@@sharvo6 I never did! I forgot! 🤯🤯🤯
Just made this recipe my husband and I have been on keto for two years now and this is amazing! We love the tortilla will be making many many more times thank you!!
Awesome
I went with 1 tsp of Psyllium husk fiber instead of the husks and two TB of almond flour without the whey protein because it's what I have on hand. It still worked for my greatest tortilla desperation but yours looks better. I'll have to get the whey protein for sure.
Glad to hear you were able to improvise. 👍🏻
Hi, how was the taste, please?
Tried making one of these today.... really easy, obviously quick and very yummy!! Filled mine with a little sloppy joe.
Thanks so much. Love the channel.
It looks delicious Steve. I'll give it a try.
Thanks, Steve! And thank you for answering sooo many questions! You're the best!

You’re amazing with all your research. Thank you. I look forward to trying.
Can’t wait to try this recipe.
Thanks. These make a good wrap. They could use a little salt. And, they taste of egg. But, loads better than no tortilla at all.
I have a follow up video with all the substitutions I’ve tried. You might find a combo that is more to your taste.
You got my question right off the bat, what to use instead of almond flour. I’ll be trying them with the Aviate lupin flour.
This is a great find. Thank you for sharing your testing and insights. It's a huge help.
ima definately try this, ive been trying different tortilla recipes and havent had much luck understanding how much of which types of flour to use and i just prefer not dirtying dishes like the food processor, an addition i thought of was maybe you could use parchment paper under the tortilla to keep it from sticking without using spray, it may not work and may make it a weirder shape, but could work.
Glad to have you here. If you use powder instead of husks, use 1/3rd the amount. Also, check out my follow up video for other substitutions.
