Hi Mr and Mrs B. As a retired theatre nurse doing TKR and THR work all I’ll say is do exactly as the surgeon says and you’ll be fine and ready the road in no time. Just be a patient patient. Modern orthopaedics are impressive. Nuh no hard solo. Take good care of yourselves. Macca in WA.

Isn't technology wonderful (Ipad). I have had a lot of phone consultations with specialists, one of whom I have never met but feel like he's a brother.
I'm also pleased the new van is working well and has creature comforts (TV, a decent fridge/freezer) for your comfort.
Take care as you both recover. Keep the "P's" coming. Pretty certain I'll be watching further adventures (I couldn't think of any more P's).

I’ve had three new replacement surgeries and I can’t imagine anything more painful than knee replacement. It’s definitely on a pain level is a 10+10👍🏻🤗💐 good luck💯👏🏻 I’m amazed at how well you’re moving, but I know it’s painful. Don’t cut back on the medication’s for another couple of weeks. It’s very important to keep ahead of the pain because once you get the pain then it’s going to be a bitch to try and get it back to normal or something workable. Don’t worry about anything addicting when you’re taking it for pain you do not get addicted.
Oh wow! You have been thru a lot too. Stay positive!! And thank you for your support means a lot to us both.

Hi there Mr and Mrs B. Donna and I were just talking about you both and wondering how the recovery was going. Glad to watch this video and see what looks like a positive result, also it is really nice to see Mr B with such a bubbly and light disposition considering the surgery ( loved the "off chops" moment) lol. Always enjoy the realism that you both put forward in these posts, shows that life happens to everyone. Great to see the recovery taking it's path in the right direction and that you have the amazing support of Mrs B. Thanks again for the post and the update. I’ve had 2 knees done . 5 years apart. It’s amazing the difference between the 1st and the 2nd in procedures . How far they’ve come. That’s Ice man is amazing. I also did home physio. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I feel Mr B's pain. I've had TKRs on both knees, the first one 11 years ago at 60 years and the second 6 years ago and pray that they both last a lot longer and won't need to have them done again, but if I do thanks to you I can see it's doable. Take care both of you and as Mr B will certainly know keep up those exercises!!

You need pain meds, whatever that is, every 4 hours, regardless of how you feel, for at least 4 weeks after surgery.
Fabulous looking Pizza 🍕. Great looking scar, healing so well. Sounds like Dr Lou is one brilliant surgeon. The support team, iPad & ice pack gizmo are genius! 🤗👏🏻🇨🇦

I know your pain, not long since i had my knee replaced. Your surgery was a bit more involved than mine but the pain is very real. Get well soon so the tripping can continue.

Thanks for sharing your new knee journey. My hubby also had knee replacement whilst in the caravan only difference he had to use our on board shower but mostly had a duck wash with a rinse off in the shower.

i hope it all goes well for mr b when i had my hip done 18 years ago i had 3opps in three days and it took 12months to recover and now they say i am too old to have it done again - they say there is nothing wrong

I'm so very glad Mr. B made it through his surgery and is recovering quite well !
It was the best decision for him to recover in the van.
In the hospital the nurses would be waking him up and maybe taking some blood, doing the blood pressure and being a pest.
I should know !
I didn't get much sleep while I was in there.
The nurses had no respect for the patients!
They would walk in the hallway talking in their own language very loudly at 1 in the morning
They also sounded like a stampede !
I think I was put in a room next to the stairs.

I think you both are great companions. It made me laugh when Amanda said “ are you watching the TV? “ The smile on Dave’s face priceless. Glad Dave’s knee replacement went really well wish him all the best in his recovery . My daughter that is now 23 years old had a double hip replacement when she was 12 I remember the distress that was, but at least she can now walk. Your pizza looks great Amanda making me hungry! I absolutely enjoy waiting for your new vlogs and I have learnt so much from you both. When I lived in South Australia as a child my Dad worked hard to take us away camping in the Christmas Holidays in our tent even to the mainland my memories are forever especially since my Parents have passed on. You both have an awesome life the trolls that have negative comments are jealous of your life and just about every you tube channel I watch has those sort of people as well. Safe Travels Xx

Hi Mr & Mrs B, I found you guys recently with your accident video. So Sorry for your accident but so glad you both were ok. But sorry for the caravan being a right off. But glad you got a new van. Hope too Mr B recovering well with his knee surgery. Aldi is good & yes pineapple a must on pizza but aldi pineapple have be used within 3 days once opened. So I always buy the golden circle ones from Woolworths or Coles as they have 7 days use by after opening as I never get through a tin by 3 days, I suppose you can freeze leftover as well. If you like homemade pizzas too there is both at aldi & Woolies or Coles a pack of 10 mini pizza bases in fridge section. I usually cook two per person & is enough for a meal, but will need pizza sauce yourself for them. I haven't bought them in awhile as have had english muffins & used for homemade mini pizzas instead with pizza sauce & my fav Hawaiian topping. Anyway sorry going on a bit. Thanks for awesome videos as I've always wanted to travel around Australia but many reasons why I can't. Thanks again & hope Mr B recovering well & you got everything sorted from insurance from accident. 😊

Hi Mr B, those hospital beds so uncomfortable plus trying to fit in them so one can stretch out is a fight, also when on one side then you roll over one has to watch it, the Nurse's mostly are fantastic, I found I wanted to sit on the edge of the bed but no you have to get back into bed, thought's are with you mate
