Ive had my dewalt siding gun for 5 years and its shot at least 50k nails and only jammed when i was using a bad batch with too fat of a wire. It still works perfectly. I was thinking about getting a hitachi (metabo?) and giving this one to my dad but ive had such good luck with it that ill probably get another dewalt. I love that the hook on it is so big it easily hooks onto a ladder rung.
The carousel is turning when feeding nails because you aren't locking it in properly. Lift the carousel and turn it clockwise instead of counter clockwise and you will find it locks in completely and will not turn in either direction until you lift it up again and turn it counter clockwise. No need for tape
Quick question guys , so I just got this nail gun for fathers day , I see that there are 2 inch nails for fencing and there are 3 inch nails for framing but I'm confused now , I took a roll 2 inch nails ( fencing said son the box) and put them into the gun and I don't have to lift the anything since the nails regardless of size have to seat at the bottom of the coil in order to fit straight into the gun, what em I missing here

Either that or he might need a new post as the edges where it locks in get worn down easily
Wow....
