- When you live under the sea, accommodations are tight, but the view is nice. See where Roane State faculty Bruce Cantrell and Jessica Fain will live and teach while staying underwater for 73 days. While in this habitat -- it's the size of a dorm room -- they will host a weekly lecture series and teach a college-level course.
That Papa John's delivery guy though, talk about dedicated lol.
Retro1989
He probably still forgets those half dozen little cups of sauce you order with the bread.
I wonder what amount of tip is appropriate for that level of delivery. 😂
“We can do VCR, we have WiFi” now there’s two amenities I haven’t heard in the same sentence since 2001 public school.
now i feel the urge to come back playing subnautica
zZAPp64 ikr lol
Subnautica brough me here XD
You should play again mabey try messing with console commands
Godd damnn they are living the subnautic dream , kinda sucks they didn't discover the sponge fish yet .
Play soma you will love it
Not even 100 years ago you couldn’t go under water without having hoses connected to your suit, now you can live underwater and stream Netflix.
And get Papa John’s pizza delivered lol! I couldn’t believe that 😂
@@hannathompson7998 Those delivery drivers don't let anything stop them!
HL Hunley submarine was in use during US civil war in 1800s
"Now im walkin down the hallway here from the common area into our galley" "Here I am in our galley"
There's alot of good, dry humor to be found in this video lol
Whey they have better wifi underwater then you do in your home
Lomolabo HAHA
someone who doesn't know the difference between "then" and "than" and has access to WIFI doesn't deserve wifi. Fucking imbecile Lomolabo
Wi-Fi or similar frequency or you can call it connection is better under water because the water extends the connection. For example if you have a car with an electric remote go far enough where it won't connect to the car anymore and point the key fob I.R sensor directly towards you head and the water in your head broadcasts the signal farther basically the water magnifys the connection lmao
They don't. Mine is faster, lower latency.
him: would you like to spend 2 months underwater
me: -hell no are you stupid i enjoy not drowning- is there wifi?
Detox Exavo I love how you spent lots of time copying and pasted lots of letters and hoped for likes...
1000 Subscribers With No Videos? do you mean the crossed out letters -wow your an idiot-
1000 Subscribers With No Videos? you don't even have 1000 subs
-everyone can do it idiot-
KawazyPlays -i know i know-
i'd never want to leave! living under the water like that sounds so amazing. a hermit's dream
Looking endlessly out of one of their windows at the peaceful, shallow sea.
that would be depressing after a while, i mean you won't have much to do and that's boring. good for a day or two, not more and certainly not a lifetime.
that's my opinion.
@@theintellectualmouseencycl2976 I agree with you.
@@theintellectualmouseencycl2976 not only that, but the vitamin D deficiency would cause chronic depression.
@@BlackCat-dm5yg Fatty fish are rich in vitamin d. Without fish, take a multivitamin.
"We have wifi"
*Me* SIGN ME UP!
Zuperdawg - Gaming - Vlogs & More! My thoughts exactly
Sorry, we don't need any useless video game playing kids right now. Try back in 18 years.
Scott Rose and Zuper I dare you to actually comment on this video in 18 years.
Ruby Olson 16.67% of the way there
Yoooo
I love stuff like this...something different to experience 😁👍
I dont think they are gonna have any burglars any time soon XD
Mayor Bolin lol vro ROAR XD
Mayor Bolin
Mayor Bolin apart from fish but they wont get far
You won't either.
Kinda hard to rob the senate.
Is that a challenge?
Who knew hickock45 was so versatile?
Was thinking the same
😂
this has to be one of the coolest things i've ever seen
Did I hear him say we can do *VCR*?!
Look... he's been down there for a while. They don't let him leave often.
evs251 maybe he wants to watch vcr some movies that are on vcr are classys like scar face it was on vhs plus he said they have wifi
Did I hear him say "VCR"?! NOT "VHS Player"?!
Seems like a nice place for a date, y'know, because of the implication
Much nicer setup than some other underwater platforms
I’d love to just go down there to avoid all the fuckery going on, on land. Send me some pizzas and keep the WiFi going and I’d be chillin’ for years 😂
@Dess Milli i wanna live under the sea so bad
@BURGATO ' bruh humidity isn't an issue since you can lock the entery and turn on a dehumidifier , and concerning decompression it depends on depth , a 10 meter deep habitat has only 2 bar which doesn't require much decompression to ascend .
As you can see it’s not very big but it’s very comfortable and there is a lovely view X3
One question HOW the hell did they get a tv down there??
Soccer Moments more importantly the big ass fridge
Soccer Moments and the beds
Probably sent down inside the chamber when they sent that down. wow come on guys.
air tight packageing like they did with the pizza as well
The same way they got papa johns and wifi down there dipshit.
This channel deserves more subs
True
Tell me more about that cool dining table. I want one!
I am jealous. Like really.
Black Hat I know
1:37 you had me at VCR
also those bedrooms, the bottom bunk. are you allowing couples cause youd be pretty much spooning with who ever you sleep with lol
I love how this dude is saying look at our wonderful view and all you see is some murky ass water... like bruh you can't even see 10 ft. away
Seawater has degraded quite a bit since Jacques Cousteau was exploring
this is what a tour by hank hill would be like.
wait until a seal decides to enter
Wait until a gosh darn heckin' big floppy fish plows through the fridge
this is reverse iss
i'm a plant but except smaller
Great video, I’m an physiotherapist aswell
It sounds very comfortable
Cool! Do you also have a ladder above the sea?
Detecting multiple leviathan class in the region are you certain whatever are you doing is worth it?
What is the depth please? and this channel deserves big subs!
It's like the International Space Station!
Just spent 24 hours there, great experience!
i would love to stay there for at least 2 or 3 weeks
It looks comfortable enough :D
can you spend like a week or two in one of these for a cool vacation?
Do you have ventilation? An exhaust fan above stove for example? If so how do they work?
Yes, they have oxygen generators
this is so fucking awesome I want one ! lol I love the ocean.. I wish I could disapeer into one of these for a while.. gawd so cool
How do y’all refresh the O2 ?
That was so dope
Is the VCR a Betamax too? When was this thing built? 1988?
These people are at the Forefront of Science and they eat Papa John's Pizza!? Send me down some T-bone steaks or at least some Gourmet Pizza I don't know how about a turkey dinner? lol!
How do you figure they are at the "forefront of science". They are teaching a college course, not doing anything remotely groundbreaking.
Ttamage ylaeh What's wrong with Papa John's Pizza?
wtf i was just thinking damn they each got they own small pizza and papa johns delivers seems good to me
At least they ordered boneless pizza.
HEY MAN I LOVE PAPA JOHNS :) YOU TAKE THAT BACK. INSTEAD OF DISCUSSING LIVING UNDERWATER, LETS TALK ABOUT WHO MAKES THE BEST PIZZA ON EARTH LOL
How do you replenish your air supply down there?
whats the danger of DCS going from deep under water to normal pressure?
How did you waterproof this I am attempting to make a small scale research facility at a beach and I want to know how to make a waterproof door
this is so cool!
how much would something like this cost how deep is it and what about depth charges and what us the wired internet speed
What is the pressure in there compared to the surface
What is it made of?
Fiberglass, steel?
So do you just drop a cable in the water to get internet ?
Would have been nice to know the depth.
This kinda reminds me of Yodas Hut but it’s underwater. Super cozy
"Almost a queen size" my ass. I've moved too many queen sized mattresses to think that's even close to a full.
I wonder if it's quite comfortable?
how much would that cost to build and what does it look like from the outside?
At least $100.
imagine if they made a prison underwater like this, it would be cool but creepy and im sure it wouldn’t be the best on mental health. I seen the rooms and all i could think about is a prison cell idk why.
Impel Down has been created for this.
I see it's quite comfortable down there.
how did you get that stuff down there????
"This is the wet room where we come in"
cool but what happens if the base hatch
Id like to see it from the exteriror
How do you get the fridge, beds table underwater?
Put it in before the ballast sinks it I bet ? The compressed air would keep the water out and with enough ballast weight it would still sink
How did they get there camera down??
And how much would i spend to live about a week down here?
YOU HAVE WIFI!!! I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE THE WATER MORE!!!
How you gonna have Wifi but also have a VCR?
when you log on the subnautica roleplaying servers
there is no multiplayer in subnautica :(
"I'm gonna show you the kitchen" * takes two steps*
How do they get air and electricity?
I feel this is perfect for my socially anxiouse fueled life style... Did you need any planning / permissions of any kind to build this?
Are you sure
Is that a joke? If you suffer from anxiety disorder its not a good idea to dive mate.
@@ljones2087 Socially anxiouse. Not generalised.
How did you get the camera down there?
You guys on TripAdvisor?
At what depth is this at, and what's the average temperature inside?
from my only assumption, not very deep, it get exponentially harder to build underwater space as the pressure increase, and seeing their are (probably) diving open circuit one tank it cant be tec dive, so a wild guess would be 10m
EDIT : after further research the habitat was at 25feet, around 8meter, so my guess was not too bad :)
@@vallsz that question was 4 years ago
@@user-gs2mh5hj9x so
How is the water from your pool not like filling into the entire habitat?
If you get an empty glass, and push it down into water, the air stays in the glass. Same idea here.
What if the air runs out?
What depth of the water is this located at?
It's 30ft under water.
-him : we have wifi-
-me: in which country is this shit i wanna get a plane ticket to there-
he is taking a shower underwater. This dude is the freaking chuck norris of the ocean. *sings under the sea*
how did they get a camera man down there
How do they get out??
pretty well stocked fridge? what? all I see are drinks in there!
the Roane state in oak ridge/knoxville area????
how do u turn dry in a shower
How do they get the appliances down there
A sealed crate, then they just opens it or it was in the structure while they lowered it down to the sea floor and the opening was sealed until air pressure was established perhaps.
what happeneds if a strong animal pierced the glass????
this reminds me of a space station
Cool!
Ok, but how tf did they get all that down there? Like, you can get an electronic wet.
What college course? Do students come down there with you?
Dude! Can I live there!?!
So is there where goldfish go when they die?
How does that water not go in when diving?
"The facility is filled with compressed air, preventing water from rising and flooding the area, and is accessed through a small pool that leads to the wet room separating the water from the dry interior."
Taken from guiness world records site as the person in the video is one of the two people with the record of longest time spent living in an underwater fixed habitat.
Is there a bathroom?
best safety place for a zombie apocalypse
No one could expect this
Him: "we have a beautiful view when we are eating"
Me: Looks at the foggy green water
Do you get home delivery from Dominos though?
Cool! 😀
the greenish blueish bag looked like its was a face haha
1:41 Okay I’m sold, how soon can you have me?
