Добавлен 22 апр 2014
Welcome to Classroom Under the Sea, presented by Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tenn. and the Marine Resources Development Foundation in Key Largo, Fla. This fall, Roane State associate professor of biology Bruce Cantrell and adjunct instructor Jessica Fain plan to live and work under the sea for 73 days. While underwater, they will host a weekly program featuring interviews with leading scientists and explorers, covering topics such as conservation, undersea exploration and more. Their goal is to educate the public about issues affecting the oceans and to inspire students' interest in marine science and other STEM fields. Classroom Under the Sea will begin Oct. 3, 2014 and last until Dec. 15, 2014.

How do they get air and electricity?
1:03 He had a PTSD episode right after saying "awkward" lmao
Might want to check with the U.S. Navy .. Nuclear submarines have stayed underwater for around 100 days .. me - personally have been underwater for 92 days & that was because we were running out of food & cigarettes .. don’t call us Bubbleheads for nothing .. may have to down longer to have the Worlds Record .. 🥽
Yeah, but they were in a hyperbaric chamber. Are nuclear submarines hyperbaric chambers ? I'm way too tall to be in a sub.
なんで入口から水が入らんのやろ
The Habitat has the same pressure as the water
@@Cman1828 I got it!
Spray foam insulation sweat. hmmmm. Id have issues right there, above or below water.

I'll take the claustrophobic suite please.
imagine if they made a prison underwater like this, it would be cool but creepy and im sure it wouldn’t be the best on mental health. I seen the rooms and all i could think about is a prison cell idk why.
Impel Down has been created for this.
I wonder if some people have had a panic attack and needed some immediate medical help?
They're In bikini bottom ordering Krusty Krab pizza 😂
How deep is this habitat and where is it located?
It's in key largo, 33 feet underwater in a lagoon..
@@lizzyyybabbyyy5276 Thank you. That place has been there forever.
This kinda reminds me of Yodas Hut but it’s underwater. Super cozy
They have WiFi under water, imagine playing Xbox with someone that literally lives in the water. Badass.
I don’t understand why people want to stay under the sea for two weeks but live like they are on sea level I don’t get it sorry
As you can see it’s not very big but it’s very comfortable and there is a lovely view X3
Jessica fain do you have your own scuba gear like wetsuit and dive gloves and dive hood and dive boots and dive fins dive mask and scuba tank and bcd and regulator to breath from and breath underwater with dive Instructor and Jessica fain who is your dive buddy and how long did it take you to do your scuba diving training and are you a certified scuba diver
Bro that is bigger than my dorm
He Perfectly made something so cool seems so boring
Not even 100 years ago you couldn’t go under water without having hoses connected to your suit, now you can live underwater and stream Netflix.
And get Papa John’s pizza delivered lol! I couldn’t believe that 😂
@@DjinnRummy Those delivery drivers don't let anything stop them!
HL Hunley submarine was in use during US civil war in 1800s
i'd never want to leave! living under the water like that sounds so amazing. a hermit's dream
Looking endlessly out of one of their windows at the peaceful, shallow sea.
that would be depressing after a while, i mean you won't have much to do and that's boring. good for a day or two, not more and certainly not a lifetime. that's my opinion.
@@theintellectualmouseencycl2976 I agree with you.
@@theintellectualmouseencycl2976 not only that, but the vitamin D deficiency would cause chronic depression.
@@BlackCat-dm5yg Fatty fish are rich in vitamin d. Without fish, take a multivitamin.
2 people sleep on the bottom bunk lol
Cool! 😀
If it gets stuffy in there, open a window.
What depth of the water is this located at?
