    Number 1 is one of the greatest shots of all time no question. I dont think people understand how tough that shot is. He slid into the ball while running back and hit an underhand side shot. Not only that, but to hit it up the line and hit it that cleanly. Have not seen that shot duplicated like that ever, and probably never will either.

    Without doubt, Federer is the most talented, beautiful, vesatile player ever to play tennis. Variety of shots he plays, is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear ppl say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1500 plus matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 50 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public.. Even if Novak wins 25 Slams, he can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer. Novak may go down as Goat but Federer is Lion ( king who rules)..👌🏻👌🏻....

      Lol rafa has far more variety than roger lol and style. Only thing roger has is elegance. Rafa won his first slam as a teenager lol. That can be only due to talent

    • @serveoutwide
      @serveoutwide 2 года назад

      @@aparajitkr2870 Rafa didn’t have variety on his shots until his mid mid 20s. All he knew was to put the ball back into court. Roger is the crafty one. You have to be dumb to say that Rafa has more variety than Roger

    • @aparajitkr2870
      @aparajitkr2870 2 года назад

      @@serveoutwide Lol what😂. Rafa was far more successful at his younger age than roger. Rafa had insane shot making ability from back of the court and even mid court balls. The way rafa used angles right from his younger age was insane. He pulled off crazy shots right from his young age and that is not just merely putting the ball in😂(in a condescending tone). Roger couldnt even put the ball in then😂
      Rafa became excellent in volleying a bit later but i mean that was too around 22-23. Fed started winning only around that age lol and volleying was easier for fed as he grew up in a serve and volley era.
      Roger has lot of variety too. Just coz he has the slice doesnt mean he and the other singlehanders are versatile than double handers who need not use that often. Rafa has a unreal slice too now.

    • @serveoutwide
      @serveoutwide 2 года назад

      @@aparajitkr2870i don’t care about how good he was and how he was better than Roger. All of that is irrelevant when we’re talking about the variety. All Rafa did, back in the day, was aggression from the baseline. Now, he has implemented fragments of volleying into his game, but it’s not as sustainable as Roger’s volleys and that’s a fact. Rafa can’t hit as good touch volleys as Roger because of his polly strings, on top of the missing feel in comparison to Roger. Roger couldn’t hit that ball in? What kind of a lie is that? That just proved you have no idea what you’re talking about. Rafa has never had the variety that Roger possesses and that’s facts.

    • @aparajitkr2870
      @aparajitkr2870 2 года назад

      @@serveoutwide U dont have a clue what u are talking about. U only said rafa merely put the ball in. That such an incorrect and condescending take. So i asked then y roger couldnt even do that as he lost to him so many times when he was young.
      What lol rafa is being praised for his volleying skills by all experts including andy roddick put out a tweet on that recently. Roger started his career from a serve and volley generation, so its easier for him. Even then rafa hits fantastic volleys including touch volleys not to level of roger still. As u said on the strings but he has unreal feel lol.
      U dont seem to understand there can be a lot of variety from baseline too. Variety is not just slices and volleys. The angles one creates from baseline for the same ball all are included under variety too. U have a very narrow view on variety.

    Not saying this to demean Djoker and Nadal's achievements (they are better than Fed in terms of records) but nothing is more magical to the eye than watching Roger federer gliding on the court. Wish to see him one more time but at almost 41, it almost certainly is over.

    I still have zero clue how Roger hit that shot at 4:49…The ball is less than a foot off the ground, he’s almost full stretch, mid-slide with his back twisting every which way, he can’t step properly into the ball, and yet he somehow hits a laser beam over the highest part of the net from the doubles sideline with almost no follow-through, right in the corner of the opposing court, and the other guy was basically covering the line! How on earth?
    It’s almost the sort of sliding backhand pass Djokovic would do, but even more outrageous as he doesn’t have his left hand to stabilize the racket-yet he hits it so cleanly! That’s one of the most defensive positions I’ve ever seen a player hit a winner from. His upper body was nearly parallel to the ground, I mean this is ridiculous. Truly ridiculous. It was almost like a racquetball shot. And he was still ready for the ball coming back!!
