I do appreciate that, for being a miscommunication plot line, Bow and Glimmer weren't really doubting Adora at any point, they were just worried about her.
I also like that when Castaspella yells about the kind of people Glimmer hangs out with and stuff, Glimmer instantly tells Adora it's okay and she'll talk to her. I feel like in many other shows Glimmer would have also been mad at Adora.
it never stops being funny that this show has all the great writing and worldbuilding of one of the great modern cartoons like atla, but all the characters still have the names of action figures from the 80s
One thing I really appreciate this episode for is it shows that sdora really was also traumatized by her life in the horde. Some people tend to focus on catra's trauma, but episodes like this show adora is also pretty deeply traumatized and manipulated, despite the fact that shadow weaver did like her more
I love this episode. In a lesser show it woulda just been 'evil shapeshifters,' but here it's like a metaphor for PTSD flashbacks. Shows that she still has lingering, deep-rooted emotional wounds, and things don't just become all better because she swapped sides
its been stated that she wears the horde outfit because its a comfort to her. the dif is the emblem on her belt is an angel wing instead of the horde insignia. Castaspella is just another name from the 80s. they were huge on pun names. not saying don't make fun of it cause we have for years... just explaining why it exists lol.

Actually, Etheria (their planet) has 12 moons. You can see them in the beginning of the first episode. And answering your question, the sword is quite different from the original show. The blade was way thinner and didn't have any first ones writing (I don't think the writing was a thing in the old show either, but I didn't really watch it). The hilt wasn't golden, but still had a gem in it.
A show I think you both should react to is the new Superman show. It mixes traditional Superman powers, characters and stories with anime style transformations and design. It’s got great characters, relationships platonic and romantic, mysteries, villains , super powers and really seems like a show you’d both enjoy
