Yeah i will retest it in another location soon, i think i got pretty bad signal interference on this field with all the houses surrounding it, the other range test videos i saw on this drone, 2 guys got over 1km easy but they were flying in the country side where there is no signal interference
You may need to re-orient your antennas to get better signal and further range. Try pointing your antennas downward toward the ground so that they arent immediately behind your phone while atill oriented perpendciular to the drone. Also angle the antenna slightly slanted like an upside down "V" so that you get some horizontal polarization rather than purely vertical polarization. Antenna diversity (pointing them at different angles) is improtant to increase signal range and strength.

Seen Pete from RC escape get over 1km with his and also another guy get over 1km with also the wifi connection as well, but both of them were no where near any housing so had zero interference for such a test. Pulled up this video after a disappointing experience where the max distance I could achieve was 300 meters. Looks like that’s all I’m going to get in a residential area. Bummer. Thought I’d get 999 meters. I would settle for 700. But 300?

Looks like a decent gimbal and video but of course wifi is the limit. I had a Parrot Disco drone wing with a conversion to 4G connection with unlimited range.

I have not been able to get mine to go past 1000 ft or basically 300m. Im assuming if anything it could go farther in the middle of nowhere with no electronic or radio interference. But anywhere else, 1000 ft is the cap.

@@jimdarden833 yes i was disappointed in tge range of this 720g, much cheaper gps drones can even go further than this one.

The distance should include the elevation component. So closer to 400m.

Same here. 300 meters max distance in a residential area. A little disappointing.
today i was able to go 700 meters with this drone, and when i came back i went up to 400 meters. just gotta get away from houses

These things are garbage. Just go with the cheapest DJI you can get and it's already 20x better than these pieces of crap
