Imagine if hallucinated probes worked like mules and could mine resources. Not necessarily mining more than a regular probe, but just the ability to do so would be hilarious.
Protoss has the same advantages as Zerg does against Terran, just to a lesser degree: Cheaper infrastructure and better ability to produce workers. So it stands to reason that similar strategy could work. The difference being that Protoss is ahead from the get go and techs up much faster than Zerg does. (CCs, unchronoed Nexuses and Hatcheries all produce at the same rate, so Zerg is behind in worker production until Injects start to complete, while Protoss has the best building mechanic and chrono boosts Nexus production right from the start. The dynamic is really apparent in early PvZ). Larva/Injects aren't especially weird: A Hatch produces the same as a CC/Nexus, and a Queen basically doubles the capacity. She's a walking Reactor. The Nexus is the Protoss Queen, since it provides the production capacity boost.
Every time I see Byun's clan tag, it just makes me think "red bloon." It's been a long time since I last played BTD6, but what can I say, it had an effect on me.
Speaking of introduction, I do really enjoy your camera movement when you introduce the players. Small detail but the side scrolling and zooming catches me.
I remember a very high level match in old school SC2 where the reigning champion GG-ed out after seeing a bunch of hallucinated carriers. That was an absolutely insane match with a really epic big brain ending.
Has anyone tried to mine minerals with a hallucinated probe? If they are capable of doing it, they can be like "Protoss MULEs" and can even be used to clear the ramp minerals like in Alcyone in both attacking the enemy and clearing another base. The only real cost is energy which is effective I assume.
sentries are 2 supply I think but with that you could still hallucinate 400 probes. I don't know what I would think if someone came at me with 400 hallucinated probes
@lowkotv Get NFS Underground and enjoy hours of fun. If that isn't the NFS game you played you won't regret it. I was never a big racing game fan but Underground was fun as hell.
In addition to what the other poster said, it's a bit difficult: Protoss and Zerg can do this kind of style against Terran because their infrastructure is considerably cheaper than Terran's, so they have an easier time expanding than T does, and they can mass produce workers better to saturate the bases. Without the mass expansion and extra funds, the Zergy style falls apart. You also need mobility: Zerg and Gateway units move fast, Bio not so much. It's why you used to see a sorta Zergy style from Terrans with mass Cyclone-Hellion. It was mobile enough to make things workable.
29:12 the Queen/King of Protoss is the guy in the Nexus shouting: "Not enough Minerals!" again and again, motivating the Player to build more NExus and farm Minerals. Sometime actually helping with Cronosboost.
i started putting pieces together, and i thought that herO would hallucinate workers to fake a 3rd and its actually a 2 base all in which might've been funny against zerg because of immortal sentry all in
Would be cool if hallucinated probes could build hallucinated buildings :p Though i guess you would need to drastically reduce their HP to basically 1, so that its not totally broken 🙂
Have you ever said that intro while looking in a mirror. Like rehearsing it before hand? Lol idk why I'm picturing you doing that but it makes me chuckle
The quality of video is way off. Wondering if that's because you record with not enough video bitrate or because the resolution get's messed up in between and is actually lower then 4k. I play on 4k SC2 daily, so I know how it looks. The discord join button looks ok, but rest looks bad (for 4k res). Do you add that stuff later and recompress or what? Btw. would be nice to see you in arcade->direct strike->commanders mode + weekly brawl But it's slow ass game for us mere mortals ;)
1:25 - Thats personal. Also.. last night on Evo with my buddy, I took my probe and snatched his gas gyzers. He was so unsure about the cheese I was able to hard contain two bases while it completly threw him for a loop lol So now, Lowko is right xD Protoss bully.
I hate planetary fortresses as a zerg main. You literally have to cheese them you need lurker, muta, or blinding cloud. That makes lurker the only practical thing and if they have tanks you can't do it. It's OP
Hallucinations is one of the many protoss op abilities, you can literally spam hallucinations and have army with literal free 400 damage shield (multiplied fo every hallucination), cause they have hp and can soak that damage ez, they can scout and get total vision of the map again, free, and can confuse your enemy a lot making him misjudge the situation. That's is completely broken. Protoss is the most braindamaged race and can only be beaten in pro levels. On the ladder below master league everyone hates protoss ecxept protoss players that abuse these braindead and op units and abilities. Starcraft 2 deserves to die fast cause the balance team is dead, there are a handful of people that "balance" everything around pro match and players like clem serral maxpax ecc, that are the 0.000001% of the players and don't count. the game is been abandoned and is only good for pro players but playing as a nobody on the ladder is hell.
No? Sentries take supply, and resources. Zerg gets overlords & creep, Terran literally gets a “let me see what you have there”, which can’t be countered at all. If sentries were so OP, how come I hardly ever fight against them?
@@Manasquid.67 learn to read as i am talking about hallucination ability that is freaking op, not sentry, you dont lose any resource or supply with hallucinations aka your arguments is pointless.
