Hey Greg. Don't suppose you could do a drink based on the new Cyberpunk 2077 anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners? Specifically the Afterlife drink you see in game that's named after the main character of the show: The David Martinez.
I was thinking about something when you speak about rum with the cocktail between the sheets. Do you use "French" rum sometime ? Rum that come from Martinique, Reunion, Guadeloupe ? I know that I don't really like those rum, the taste of it. I like Caribbean (or Cuban) rum better. But I was wondering if you have access to that type of rum. If some cocktail could be better with those type of rum. Thank for all the video ! I like your work and your style !
Maybe you could work this celebrity/movie associated drink into a thematic episode, to see if it has any merit: the Sambuca Shake, from "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" starring Andrew Dice Clay in the early '90s.
Last hen do I went on some people did order the pornstar Martinis, but that’s only cos they like them. We surprised the restaurant we went to with how low key we were, the bride does not like a big fuss. And I spent less than £45 on the whole night which is a huge win.
Didn't expect to want to try any of these, but boy, gonna have to try th and call them something else if they're good. Hoping to see some pumpkin/halloweeny cocktails in October
13:46…the closeup of the mustache hairs, the engulfing of the phallusy vessel, the vomit slowly climbing its way up my throat, and the ensuing creamed orifice are absolutely the stuff of nightmares. I might never recover.
I have a tip for you on passion fruit, Greg- they aren't fully ripe until they are as wrinkled as a ball sack. Seriously, the uglier the better. If they're still pretty smooth, they aren't ready. The aggressive tartness of a ripe passion fruit is offset, contrasted, and enhanced by the amazing levels of sweetness you get from those developed sugars.
I've never clicked on a video so fast in my life. Not for the interesting cocktail lore, history, witty humor and hilarious quirks. That would be too easy. No, it was that *robe*!
"Slightly innebriated" greg has a similar energy to how i teach my classes after a long day lol. The "Being silly for my own amusement more than anything" is very much mood.
Greg's videos are just perfect for laying in bed while you're sick. I keep falling asleep and letting the auto-play go, but I get to wake up to Greg in a crimson smoking jacket and ascot talking all sexy to me.
Just read this comment. Was stuck in bed for about 3 months recovering from foot surgery. Found this channel, binge watched it during most of recovery!
The first [legal] drink I ever got was called a Leg Spreader. I'd never seen it on a menu at any other bar, but it was wickedly potent and was served garnished with two orange wedges with a cherry between them.
I just looked it up, a fairly simple drink if you want to make one. 1 1/4oz Midori liqueur 1 1/4oz Malibu rum 6oz pineapple juice 2 dashes 7-Up Orange slices and cherry to garnish. Edit: it's a stirred cocktail btw.
We also have that as a type of shot in austria. But here it is a shot of vodka, another one of lemon juice and sugar. Then you mix the sugar, lemon juice and vodka in your mouth in drink it down.

Episode idea: remake all the galliano drinks you’ve made with the vanilla galliano instead of the original one you’re using. Every time a drink calls for galliano it’s the vanilla version they mean which is very much vanilla and very little licorice
Agreed, sometimes with cocktails you gotta realize the booze involved may have evolved over time, in this case most modern galliano is vanilla. I have never been to any place that serves cocktails that doesn't use vanilla galliano. Greg is ruining perfectly good drinks using the original one, heck all the galliano i have seen has never even been that green colour.
My favorite fictional cocktail name of all time is Terry Pratchett's Slow, Comfortable Double Entendre. On the off chance Greg or someone in his life is a Discworld fan, I would LOVE a Discworld drinks show. There are some truly excellent names (that cocktail list from Biers! and how good is "Bearhugger" as a whiskey brand?). And there are a couple of special Vimes mocktails, including beetroot beer. But of course it would have to start (or end?) with scumble (Made from apples - well, MOSTLY apples. Don't serve it in anything metal or leave a spoon in it).
"Lime juice famously comes from limes. To get to the juice of the Lime, we've got to split it in half." I'm furiously taking notes at every slobbery drunken word, Greg.
between the sheets seems like a solid drink, and like it would be good to do a partial sugar rim on. besides... a little rimming when between the sheets is normally a good time.
Still can’t tell if I like goofy Greg doing basically skits while making drinks. Or classic chill Greg and learning so much about mixology. Love em both I guess.
Two notes. One: Greg's "So SUUUUU me!" absolutely cracked me up. Two: I love the fact that he actually says "We'll be back right after these messages" right before the RUclips commercials! It makes me feel like I'm watching a real TV-MA cocktail show on HG-TV or something.
You got a really good thing goin on greg and htd crew. This show has become so much more than it ever was at the start. Brightens my day every few days when this enters my feed.
I'm really digging this Vincent Price/Paul Lynde/Hedonismbot version of Greg. I'd attend his shagadelic dress-like-Bugs-Bunny-in-disguise cocktail party
Another really good show! Here in the UK the pornstar martini is probably the most popular cocktail, to the point that in some bars they don’t sell them because that’s all they sell. I’d make around 100-200 cocktails on a Saturday, I’d say at least 65% where a pornstar martini, here they’re also a bit foamier on the top. The Prosecco (traditionally champagne) is also used as a palette cleanser between eating food from the sweetness of the drink. ✌🏽
You should do an episode on sloe gin, since sloe season is coming up! Tasting commercially available brands, mixing drinks with it, and how to make it yourself
Seconded! I normally don't like gin because the coniferous flavors are just too much for me, but we found one where the flavorings are milder and more herbal, so a more berry-y flavor could counter the juniper for me. I'm definitely curious.
Part of that could be good, but sloes don't grow in the US (at least not where I live or as far as I know) and I've never seen them in stores, so making it might be off the table.
A tiny note on the whole Galliano deal! Loads of recipes I've encountered only says "Galliano" but the bottles they show are always the Galliano Vanilla liqueur specifially, not the standard Autentico that you've got a bottle of!
On my senior trip, we went to Orlando. Went to a fairly nice restaurant, one of the other kids at the table asked what a Virgin Sex On The Beach was, I just said an oxymoron.
There is a cocktail from Belize called the Panty Ripper, and I fell like the name would fit on this list. It's not complicated, it's pineapple juice, coconut rum (though you could use coconut water and rum which is different but good)and a splash of grenadine. Sometimes its served in a hollowed-out pineapple which is tasty.
this doesnt really have anything to do with this video specifically (great vid btw), i just wanted to thank you for turning me onto making drinks. it has quickly grown into probably my favourite hobby, and if i hadnt found your channel, im not sure i had made it through the pandemic as gracefully as i did. its also been great fun watching your channel grow and evolve from making basic videos about drinks, to making drink recipes inspired by popular media, to the fast food place drink improvement series and all the other wacky antics you get up to now. especially the cult of tiki has caught my interest, also from watching your videos on the subject. making syrups, perusing different liqueurs and bitters at the liquor store actually making an informed decision about what youre buying, sharing exciting drinks with friends and family are all pleasures i wouldnt have had if your vids hadnt shown up in my recommended. so once again thank you for all that (and for being entertaining as hell). also, if im rambling its probably because im midway through an original creation of mine, a tiki drink in very much the classic sense (many ingredients, multiple rums, liqueurs, fruit juices, bitters and syrups), and ive just had a long day at work and felt a want to tell you all this. thanks, and cheers!
For some reason Greg's "amorous" exclamations and mannerisms made me think of French comedy movies from 60-70's a la Pierre Richard or Louis de Funes. Funny and slightly nostalgic. Never change, Greg! 😁
A really great episode! Though the recipe for the slippery nipple made a lot of sense, but slightly different from what I’ve known it as! If anyone is curious, this is the recipe I learned in bar school: Slippery nipple- •Layered in shot glass •1/2 filled with sambucca •1/2 top with Bailey’s cream And a bonus Buttery Nipple- •Layered in shot glass •1/2 filled with Butterscotch schnapps •1/2 top with Bailey’s
The Slippery Nipple didn't sound tasty, but I have had many Buttery Nipples. Simple to make, almost a dessert shot with how much sugar is in them and how sweet they taste. I'm surprised Greg didn't go that route.
I don't drink, but I always enjoy watching the show. Mostly because I always enjoy watching someone expound on a subject that they're passionate about. And it's amusing to see you suffer through some of the horrible cocktails that get inflicted upon you.
The recipe I heard for it, in college, called for it to be served in a long glass, like a long island iced tea, thus making it a "long slow comfortable screw against the wall". Don't think it makes a difference to the drink, but it is worth an extra chuckle
I think people are talking about the vanilla version of Galliano, when they mention the vanilla taste. There are many types/versions of Galliano. As A side note, we can not get the regular one in Ontario Canada, only the vanilla one.
I was wondering why this episode wasn't done for Valentine's Day, and then I heard about the "too sexy for this video" cocktails. I guess we will have an extra sexy Valentine Day's episode next year!
I swear, the close-up shots of the drinks being mixed and ingredients being added is the _real_ sexy factor. If I were to specify, and in a particularly forthright (and non-jokey) manner, I'd say that I grew up on The Discovery Channel and The History Channel before both went downhill with garbage reality TV shows and shit like "Ancient Aliens", so previous and much better shows like "How it's Made" have always spoken to me, featuring a lot of great close-up shots of things being made and prepared. Good stuff and very relaxing/satisfying to watch.
Not in this episode, but I would love to see you also take a look at (If you do this again) the Lovage drink. In the album "Music to Make Love to your old lady by" - it consists of two recipes on the track "Lovage (Love That Lovage, Baby)" using the following lyrics. "Traditionally drunk two parts lovage to one part brandy As a soothing winter warmer, but if you want something a little more explicit We recommend two parts Hennessy to one part lovage"
I’m not much of a drinker, so I’m used to names like these being used for Sushi! Screaming O’s are, coincidentally, only one per meal due to the large amount of good tuna xD
I have (I think) a great idea for you, Greg. I recently read a Robb Report article on the classic, yet polarizing cocktail named "Blood and Sand." It convinced me that I'll try it the next time I'm at a nice bar. The article outlines the original drink, and the authors version adjusted for modern ingredients, but I would love to see you create a version that you like even more. I'm looking forward to you attempting to cover this drink. Thanks for your valuable time and kind consideration.
Love the contrast in the cocktail ingredients. Vodka; Gary’s good vodka, Cognac; Ferrand. Two very different price levels. Also Giffard makes a really good Passion Fruit liqueur.
"brunched drink." I love it. What I'd love even more now is a while episode of "brunchifying" drinks ala spinning two wheels, one with random drinks, and one with presecco, orange juice, and maybe fruit?
of all the things to take away from this, I just wish you had a rim light coming from stage right. like either a hot pink or cool blue led panel blasting from the side (or one from either side), it'll bring the whole set to life. i will likely never drink any of the things on this channel but I enjoy the content and the commentary and appreciate the tasting note shenanigans.
I went to a local sushi shop one time, and they no joke had a roll called the Screaming Orgasm, it's now become a running inside joke with me and my friend who went with me
That first drink I would enjoy, that second drink I would also enjoy, that third drink I would enjoy as well, that fourth drink I would enjoy as well, the fifth drink I would like, and finally that sixth drink also sounds great.

Not in this episode, but I would love to see you also take a look at (If you do this again) the Lovage drink. In the album "Music to Make Love to your old lady by" - it consists of two recipes on the track "Lovage (Love That Lovage, Baby)" using the following lyrics.
"Traditionally drunk two parts lovage to one part brandy
As a soothing winter warmer, but if you want something a little more explicit
We recommend two parts Hennessy to one part lovage"
Oh, my sister got me into a few songs off that track. That’d be cool if he did those!
I really like Passoã as well, especially how nice it tastes with anything orange and lime.
I love that two drinks in Greg is starting to feel it and he’s lost all his inhibitions.
I’m not much of a drinker, so I’m used to names like these being used for Sushi! Screaming O’s are, coincidentally, only one per meal due to the large amount of good tuna xD
There's a couple generations of Canadians who get excited by the thought of an ahrnge & licorice combo thanks to Tiger Tiger ice cream.
I'm sure Finns would love it too
Please do an episode on coconut cocktails! They’re my favorite but they always seem to be made too strong, too sweet, too artificial.
“A Bottom Drink” killed me lmao
I have (I think) a great idea for you, Greg. I recently read a Robb Report article on the classic, yet polarizing cocktail named "Blood and Sand." It convinced me that I'll try it the next time I'm at a nice bar.
The article outlines the original drink, and the authors version adjusted for modern ingredients, but I would love to see you create a version that you like even more. I'm looking forward to you attempting to cover this drink. Thanks for your valuable time and kind consideration.
Dont worry greg the joke you made 5:32 into the video made me laugh so dont worry your doing great and keep it up
Seconded!
And not that far from the truth...
Love the contrast in the cocktail ingredients. Vodka; Gary’s good vodka, Cognac; Ferrand. Two very different price levels. Also Giffard makes a really good Passion Fruit liqueur.
Week 10
I would love to see a Cuba Libre matrix
Different cokes like bottled, canned, glass, or fountain and different rums
Please sir
I support this
Gary's good vodka sounds like Gary trying to sell you his moonshine.
if you like passoa i highly recommend you trying chinola. it’s a dominican passionfruit liqueur that really tastes like pure passionfruit
It’s not on curiada and I believe he tries to stay close to just what curiada carries so plenty of people can try it at home
@@Onlythesassiest i wasn’t talking to him directly it was like the royal you lol but you’re probably right
@@chysayeh4043 oh I got it- thanks for explaining
This guys charm is half the reason why I watch his videos absolute chefs kiss
MikeMGTV is gonna lose his goddamn mind 🤣🤣🤣
Greg always drinks just the right amount to keep the show together while on tilt in the best possible way.
On this episode of HTD, Greg tries to get the video demonetized as fast as possible!
"brunched drink." I love it. What I'd love even more now is a while episode of "brunchifying" drinks ala spinning two wheels, one with random drinks, and one with presecco, orange juice, and maybe fruit?
This seems like a wasted opportunity to make a Naked and Famous which is both a) awkwardly horny to order, and b) unironically my favorite drink.
That size queen joke had me dying.
This episode was even more hilarious than the usual, and that's HARD to do! 😉🤣
you remain one of the most entertaining and educational fellows on RUclips.
"Who wouldn't love a screaming orgasm". HTD get's my aspiring comic book writer stamp of approval.
that's neither dark nor satire
keep aspiring and you might actually work out what all those words mean
This show is like my Saturday morning cartoon for grownups - I look forward to it every single time! 100% pure entertainment 😄
Greg is a treasure.
Love this dude.
of all the things to take away from this, I just wish you had a rim light coming from stage right. like either a hot pink or cool blue led panel blasting from the side (or one from either side), it'll bring the whole set to life. i will likely never drink any of the things on this channel but I enjoy the content and the commentary and appreciate the tasting note shenanigans.
So damn happy to see you make a bunch of cocktails! I've missed this greatly and the production quality has never been better great job Greg!
The most out of pocket episode of this channel I can remember...And I loved every second of it
I went to a local sushi shop one time, and they no joke had a roll called the Screaming Orgasm, it's now become a running inside joke with me and my friend who went with me
Lol, nice! What is the roll made up of? I'm genuinely curious, as a fellow sushi lover!
@@nicholasstone3705 Salmon, asparagus, cream cheese, krab, avocado, spicy mayo and eel sauce, no rice
@@lukabearry1826 Asparagus and sex, huh? Well, I won't kink shame.
The immediate change from the slow sensual talking to coming out of the intro into "more or less drinks about Fuckin" made me spit out my coffee...
First time in a while Greg isn’t in pain the whole episode
I really love Greg’s “The Continental” wardrobe. A+ work.
Greg, you should really release these videos on Fridays so people can enjoy the drinks on the weekend
That first drink I would enjoy, that second drink I would also enjoy, that third drink I would enjoy as well, that fourth drink I would enjoy as well, the fifth drink I would like, and finally that sixth drink also sounds great.
you should have Meredith make drinks one episode while you co host and tell her what she's doing right or wrong haha
The "unpleasant" part was surprisingly pleasing. Thank you
