Dinner: for years I've just had a BIG veggie (or veggie + legume) soup as I'm not a night person and I like to go to bed early anyway. I use the same base for every soup, just add the veggie of your choice. Base: chopped tomatoes, basil or other fresh/dried herbs, onions, garlic (I buy the Taj crushed garlic from the supermarket, Asda and others, so convenient and just over £1). Sometimes I add legumes. My favourites are: courgette/zucchini soup, cauliflower rice soup, roasted aubergine/eggplant and red lentil soup, cabbage soup, broccoli soup. If you use less water instead of soup you end up with a casserole, e.g. mushroom (+ red kidney beans or peas) casserole, broccoli casserole, cauliflower florets casserole. It's so easy with this tomato base, you can make a hot meal that 's low cal and very satisfying.

Lunches: I love your simple bowl ideas - simple as opposed to too much variety like you often see on other YT videos, but too much variety actually encourages overeating. I prefer potatoes, sweet potatoes or kabocha squashes to wholegrains. I don't mind brown rice in those microwave packs that you reheat in 1 or 2 minutes, it's really convenient and easier to control your portions, there is a tiny amount of oil but it's so tiny it's worth it imo, and it's more convenient than cooking rice for 40 minutes and then eating a very big, uncontrolled portion. You can buy rice (or other wholegrains) in a pack from Lidl and other supermarkets and they also come in different varieties/flavours - surprisingly good.

I never snack but a good lunch substitute on the go is vacuum packed chestnuts, a great source of carbs, very low fat, very tasty and filling, easy to eat on the go and a very overlooked food imo. They're about 200 cals and available all year round from most supermarkets, I buy mine from Lidl during their Italian week, they are so delicious! Another good lunch-on-the-go idea is potatoes as they're also great cold, a simple potato salad with a little salt or dried rosemary is amazing, you can add beans to it as well, or any veggie that you like to eat cold. If you are at work and there's a microwave, just reheat (sweet) potatoes, broccoli, etc. for a quick lunch that's very filling and WFPB

Good morning Ryan, I need this as I was good on Xmas Day but not on Boxing day so back on track from today. I don't fancy any of your breakfast options, this is what works for me: a big bowl of delicious fruit (watermelon, different varieties of melons, pomegranate, mango, berries, etc.), I also like apples and baked apples in winter are lovely and warming (just put them in the microwave for a few minutes). If you need to add a bit of protein/fat to your fruit bowl I recommend Asda plain soya yoghurt, it's much nicer than other brands because it's slightly sweet (but has no sugar or sweeteners added) and it's just over £1 for a 500g tub, half a tub is only 120 cals, I find it very satisfying. I also recommend Asda's plain unsweetened soya milk, just 50p, which unfortunately they don't make available to buy online so you can only buy in store, again it's plain, nothing added and it has a slight natural sweetness that I don't find in other soya milks, Asda clearly has a source of sweet-tasting soya that beats other supermarkets!

I actually prefer oat bran to oats, and I don't add any plant milk - after all oat milk is made from oats so by cooking/microwaving the oats/oat bran you are making oat milk. I just add some sweetener, keep the calories low.

Yup good stuff! I always laugh at the keto and low carb guys claiming fast fat loss when the fastest i ever experienced trying everything is vegan plant based with 10% fat only. Fat is dropping by the day.

Is 1-2 meals a day okay? Most of the time I fast in the morning and eat a small snack before working out, and then a large dinner. I prefer it because I like to save my calories for when the day has ended and I can just chill out and eat. Sometimes on my days off work I’ll have some oatmeal in the morning. My goal is 40 pounds weight loss and to tone up with weight training

If you get all nutrients you need plus sufficient calories (and not too little as can be the danger with OMAD) there is no major harm in this.

He could be a fast talker or you could be a slow listener? 🤷‍♀️😆 Either way, you can go into the settings at top right hand side of your phone screen, select playback speed, then manually adjust with your finger. Try 0.75, I tested it and that seems to be a good speed for me to have more time to absorb the content he is speaking. Hope that helps you like it’s helped me. 😊

You can slow it down in the playback settings if it's a problem for you, it's worth listening to Ryan so don't give up
