I had a 1641 with a Webber progressive 2bbl and it ran and idled perfect.. I've heard so many horror stories about these carbs.. I never had any problems with it.. And you just had to bump the starter and it fired up immediately.. thx for the demo...

Your VW engine it's amazing!! It is proud for show!! but only engines car show with out car of course!! Man god bless your hands... God bless sir🙏🙏🙏🙏

Darn nice revving response for a cold engine.

Chuddlebuggy, I did the shroud that way to provide a little extra heat on the intake. The center mounted carb is prone to icing. Cam is Engle 110 with 1.25 rockers

I used to run twin weber dcn carbs on scat manifolds. Ran well most of the time but icing was a real issue. I swapped them for a pair of dellorto drla from cb performance and didn't ice up as bad but I think it's probably the free flow air filters. Had it on loads of bikes.

Hi techadvizer Guy. I have a 71 westy and am building a 74 x 88 for an 1800. I want to have the centre mount carb but so many people tell me to stay away from a progressive carb. Your start up and rev was great. What was your experience with the single 2 bbl carb? Was it that hard to set up? I dont mind going to dual Weber 1df 40's, but geez, they are expensive. So, Ideally, I would like to keep my 34-oict 3. That carb has taken me 100K with no problems. Alas, your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I don't see the throttle cable hook up. Is there an adapter? If you drill a new hole in the fan shroud you will drilling a hole in the fan.

Sweet build. No doubt you know your stuff..lol.. that thing barked to life in just 1 rev (you even got an Ultra in the background). Couple silly questions if you dont mind. The heater ports out of the fan shroud, why didn't you just close them up if you weren't going to use them? Also, about the cams, I'm assuming you have high lift long duration street cams, were you trying to tune for "best of both worlds" by mixing a high rpm cam with the long runner lengths of a center mounted carb?

i have 2 buggies they been sitting for awhile im getting one rebuilt soon as i decide what im doing its a stock dual port my question is and my moto is( less is more ) can i get reliability and decent power with one carb on what kind of size engine a stock 1600 or a 1776, 1835, 2180 or do i have to have dual carbs on a stock bore and stroke 1600cc to be reliable and a fair amount of power , anyone have any advise

I'd recommend a 2 barrel Weber. Dcnf is what I use but they are expensive. Depends on your altitude but icing may be an issue. I heat my manifold electrically
