I'm just continually amazed by why anybody would downvote a thing like this. Guy is trying to do some good in the world, handing out free information that can really make a positive difference. I absolutely guarantee you he could've used this time to make more money for himself by taking more clients. Thanks so much for posting, Mr. Ginsberg.

People who downvote him are usually the ones who say these videos are really a commercial in disguise.I have no problem with that because its still helpful and I would seek his counsel after watching him.
Thank you much for this video. I was just approved today after only six months, and literally zero documentation of a single thing!!!! It was so easy. And looking back, I definitely was in the mind set of thinking about what I'm capable of at work etc, not just my problems, but how they've affected past jobs I've had and future jobs I might get. Your advice seems really excellent. And I enjoyed your delivery very much, you're a pleasure to listen to.
I have been in the health care industry for the past 35 years both as a treating physician (I am a retired Chiropractor) as well as writing Evaluations of Impairment for Social Security, Work Comp and Personal Injury. I just wanted to take a moment to let you know I find your work both informative as well as insightful. I refer my social security clients to your channel for additional information. Thanks so much for your input. I hope they call.
Frances Wiggins Hello, You were a medical physician and became a chiropractor afterwards? SSD honors your paperwork because you were a Dr by their terms. One issue when filing was that I went to a chiropractor only - for 8 mos, in my mind I was going to get better and go back to work.
That describes me perfectly !! I've tried to think of any work I can do without being fired within a month for being late, or not being able to stand any longer etc.. and sadly there is nothing for me. every morning I'm frozen in pain and it takes awhile to get up , if I can at all !!
I had a very good lawyer. I got approved for Social Security disability my first try. FYI: make sure you keep seeing your doctor because you WILL get a Social Security disability update form to fill out later on.
You are so awesome! Thank you very much for all you videos! I receive SSI already, and because of your videos, I now have a better chance of keeping it! SSI agents don’t even give us helpful tips like this! You are saving live and relationships everyday with these videos! Thank you agin, very kind Sir! 🙏🏽
Hearing the Vocational Expert tell the judge that there were no jobs available that I could perform because of the limitations of my disability was the first moment during the hearing that I could actually breathe. It felt like I had been holding my breath through the entire process. And it really did seem to make a difference once she said it because after that, the judge's questions turned towards pain management and how much my illnesses limit me where the first part of the hearing seemed to focus on what I was still capable of and how I could make adjusts to keep working.
Your comment is what I needed! My hearing is on may 21st. I'm petrified. Could you please let me know what to expect? Thank you. P.S. How did it all turn out for you? Hope in your favor. I think it's so hard to explain to someone the pain and the anxiety that even applying for this is, that they should know that it's not something I would do out for a life without working, believe me, if I could, I think it easier to work than all I have had to prove, to get to where I am. Thanks for listening and sharing.
I can’t bear to view these anymore, so I’ve stopped (though JG is always great) because I just am always terrified that “they” will come after me, for any “sin” I’ve allegedly committed (i I have not). Lots of these videos just scare the 💩 out of me. My mental health is just too precarious for this. Yes, I do have a therapist. Yes, I sound nuts and paranoid and insane. I am, I guess. Wish SSA would just lower the boom on me and get it over with. This is why I never spend one cent of my money, waiting for sone of hellacious form letter I will get. I stick my head in the sand, and cry a lot, so I gotta stop with these videos that help so many….and I’m glad they do! I fought SO HARD for a long time to get my approval. I bet you have, too. Hopefully if you fight the fight, you’ll get there, Be good, y’all.
One thing you need to explain..How can you defend an applicant when the judge and the Voc expert go out if their way to deny a person by ignoring medical evidence and all eveidence that proves your case? When The Vocational expert says that you cannot do any of your previous work, and then proceedss to state you can do some job that's even more taxing on any of your disabilities.
One of the biggest mistakes is applying for SSD !! I won my case but lost all my medical coverage!!!! I am 54 years old!!!! I am disgusted with the system!!! They make u wait 3+ years to get approved!! Then after I get approved you lose everything again!!! The system is set up so you loose everything you have ever worked for and they are hoping you die in the process!!!! I am disgusted with the entire system!!!! So now that I will be needing 👋 and back surgery!? I will have no coverage,,,,,,,,,,, Great going government and law makers!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏 you don't car!! You make great money and you will always have medical insurance!!!!!
I'm going to be attending my hearing on may 21st. Needless to say, I'm extremely nervous. I'm under psychiatric care, psychiatric care, and just this past few years my back has been getting worse and worse. I'm also under the care of a neurosurgeon. I'm depressed most of the time, and when I'm not, and I go someplace I immediately start panicking and the anxiety it totally is in control of me . I'm petrified of the upcoming hearing. I'm nervous about this vocational person they are going to have there. As you can see I'm all over the place. Thanks for letting me vent. If you could help one person with all the information you have and explain it to us... then please keep it coming, because I'm at least that one person who has each and every one of your videos! It helps me to understand and to know what to expect. Kudos to you Sir.
Tell the truth and focus on the mental health issues that would prevent you from working - issues with attention and concentration, persistence and pace, focus, emotional stability. The vocational witness is not there to hurt you or help you - they just answer "what if" questions from the judge and your lawyer.
I have not been able to work a simple job and stay consistent, Always have had ADHD and struggled with it, as well as anxiety, have medical records that go way back!
+Social Security Disability videos Dear sir. I have a daughter who has a disorder that was diagnosed with pdsd hi anxiety disorder and other problems that her psychologist had sent to an attorney. what can she do? She just can't cope and I'm lost at this time. She was hospitalized last week with heavy drugs and just said to her well give u a buss ticket to a homeless shelter. what can she do?
Thank you, I don't even know where to get started, my back goes out at least 2 times a week. I have lumbar disk disease. And scoliosis. I don't know how to apply because I don't have any proof. I haven't been to the Dr in like 7 years because I have no health insurance. The last scan had was at an ER and they told me that I would be in a wheelchair before age 50. I have been living in pain for years just taking Ibuprofen and other over the counters that don't work. I quit my job over a year ago. And now I have been trying to work little part times here and there but now I don't even think can do that anymore.
Great video! I got done with my second hearing on march 3. Now waiting for the judges decision. Very scared that I might loose. But I do have a lawyer that had been with for the past two years out of 5 years that I haven't worked. Just it's taken so long to get this decision and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Anyways, I've watch most of your videos and it helped me cope with process. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! :)
God bless you, I too waited for only 3 years but became homeless during the last 9 months as money ran out. But boy was I able to make up for my lost life with over 100k in back pay. Now I can honestly relate and understand what those homeless people face on a daily basis...pure HELL.
Thank you Attorney Ginsberg, I've applied twice and been turned down both times. I have been chronically ill since 1988. I find your videos informative and insightful as to how the system works. Thank you for your valuable information.
I've been trying to get disability since 2011. At my last hearing, the vocational person said that, due to my disability claims, that I am unhirable. I was still denied. I also lost my appeal due to my attorney being incompetent. I then talked to a different attorney and he advised that I needed to refile. Again I was denied and I'm now waiting for another hearing. I am 45 years old. I have severe depression and anxiety and have debilitating panic attacks. I also have degenerative disk disease, fibromyalgia, arthritis up and down my entire spine, bulging disk, my cspine is straight instead of curved and both of my knees are going out on me. I am on blood thinner for the rest of my life due to Pulmonary Embolism and DVT. Also, I did attempt suicide one time. With all of these problems, I don't understand how they could deny me.
Social Security Disability videos During my 1st court hearing, I had a very tough judge who basically called me a drug addict. He was a very rude and hateful judge. During my 2nd hearing, even tho the vocational expert said I was unhirable, the main reason for being denied was my age. Now I'm on round 3. My appeal was filed in May and my new attorney told me there is, at least, a 17 month wait until I get a court date. The wait is so aggravating.
I was working and was hurt, my knee blew out and I had to have a replacement. I was sixty four at the time I "retired" because I couldn't do that work anymore. I took my SS at reduced amount, because I "retired" earlier than I could have. My question, Now that I have already starting receiving SS and have not claimed disability, can I now try to get my disability SS payment, or is that gone for me?
Please if you can, can you go over what one has to do when the time comes to be reinstated for ssd. My time is coming soon. Thank you for your time and help.
Thank you for your videos. I'm 66 and have been diagnosed with SEVERE bilateral hip osteoarthritis over 4 years ago! Now, in 2020, I'm working at a job where I'm on my feet all day. Over the last 4-5 months, the pain from my lower back and both hips, (the right hip the worst) is horrible. I am currently receiving SSI benefits due to my age and my job allows me to have, with SSI, an adequate income to live.... but I must work. I'm only looking at SSI disability benefits to cover my anticipated bi-lateral hip transplants (done separately), per my doctor's advice over the next 8 months to a year and the recovery and recuperation needed. That's all. This money would pay for this surgery and the post recovery. Is that sound planning and feasible?
Can I use the standard mileage deduction of .575 for 2020 for net earnings for sga while on ssdi? That is the Net Earnings from Self-Employment (NESE). Do you know anything about this? Thanks.
