Della is the name of cj's girlfriend, and only people who knew cj well would know that. It's not supposed to be a word, it's supposed to be a name. That's the point. I was confused about the fact that the answer wasn't ladle and reading this comment made me realise that the answer wasn't ladle because of the fact its a gameshow to see how much his friends know him. As such I see now why the answer is Della as a ladle would have no connection to him while a person would.
Credit where its due, calling CJ as a lifeline on his own show was a genius move from SmallAnt and on the right question, he would've been the one telling joke rather than the person who was the butt if it.

@@toomanystoryideas that's not how word scrambles work. it's a game of "unscramble the letters so that they make a valid word," not "guess which specific word the other person had in mind." Saying "it's not ladle" is objectively incorrect.
