@@smugler1 Why is the separate hardware dongle needed for the Windows version anyway tho? Like, what does it do? And why can't they just update the firmware of whatever the fuck you just paid $100+ for?
No seriously, what snake oil is ACTUALLY INSIDE THE DONGLE? I can't find a single photo or video of the inside, no one has asked this question and there's no FAQ question on their site about it whatsoever.
I mean look at this video closer. In wired mode the cable goes directly between the two PCs, not through some port on the dongle? And how come Apple can achieve half the latency without any dongles? Why is the claimed latency on their website not even remotely accurate and the actual latency LTT measured around the same as Miracast (which also supports touch)?
Does this not all smell a little fishy in the air? Cause I'm smelling a scam right now... And it's a real strong stench too

For people who want to use their second machine _but not_ another set of peripherals, and if most of your work is on your server machine, the *free* WiFi option is Barrier. Based on older builds of Synergy, after a little configuration so that all hostnames recognize each other, you can have a KVM that lets you use the same hardware, _everywhere_ so long all devices are on the same network.

There is a windows version of Luna Display coming soon, and I think the main point was to hopefully convince people to stop throwing away perfectly useable hardware for shiny new hardware that creates more unnecessary E-waste.
EDIT: Since some people still don't get why Linus hosted this. Because there exists a windows version of Luna display Linus was interested enough to host this product. It's as simple as that.
Now the macadress guy previously did a video on a jerry rigged together touch screen macbook, the product can be used for both windows and Mac OS laptops but windows laptop already come with touch screens pre-installed so Linus would just end up roasting apple over that, and the idea isn't all that interesting.
Instead he wanted an Apple users perspective on why they don't want a touch screen macbook. Due to changing their productivity flow or other reasons as to why they don't like 2 in 1 laptops. And why they'd rather have a Mac and an iPad separately.

if you got an old Mac Book
    step1 paint blue
step2 go to a river or the sea
step3 take the Fac book and throw it into the body of water you choose !
    step4 go buy anything else

What's the purpose of painting it blue? Anyway, considering the hazardous chemicals used in electronics manufacturing process you would be polluting the environment from the chemicals leaching into the water.

@@TheKuptis it's a joke dude we see the ocean blue so painted blue that way you don't see it when you throw it in . Old joke an old tech RUclipsr use to say when he review product that wasn't worth money (maybe I'm wrong about the youtuber but I remember it from there)

Interesting video - thanks for letting us know about Luna.
I purchased iDisplay for my iPad (1st Generation) back in 2011 (99 cents!) - it allows your iPad to act as a second (or third, or fourth) monitor. I now use TeamViewer, which is free when trying to control PCs on your home network (I control my Windows and Linux computers...I don't have any Macintosh computers)...doesn't have the ability to serve as a secondary display, but great when you need to connect into a PC that doesn't allow connection to it via RDP (example: Linux machines without xRDP installed or Windows Home).
