The 69 Fastback has always eluded me and has always been my dream car. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving this beauty. Seeing it like it was at the start of the video almost brought a grown man to tears.
Awesome job Sir.I`m doing mine with a Boss 302 all built.I`ve been building these since 1977,also have 67 GTA S code stang I`m finishing. The one in the picture was a 6cyl. sportsroof totaled in a junkyard for $175.00 in the 70`s.Take care,David USAF RET..........
I bought a new Red Mach I with yellow stripes down the sides. It had louvers over the rear window. A 351 Winsor engine and paid a whopping $3345.00 for it.
Beautiful car! You did a great job on that restoration, I built a model car exactly like your car today except I put Goodyear polyglas gt's on it,love that color it's called Gulfstream aqua as I recall I ordered it from a model car paint supplier. Great job
Had a 69 sportsroof in Burnt Orange Metallic (aka Indian Fire) with standard 302 auto and standard black interior. To me the 69 was the best of the breed. Always wanted a Mach 1 or Boss 302. Nice job on the restoration. Gulfstream Aqua (featured here) or Acapulco Blue with white interior and a 4 speed manual would be my choice today.
@johnnyk6666 did you sell your Mustang in Washington State in about 1984? I have a 69 Sportsroof 6 cylinder automatic that originally was gulfstream aqua.
@@captainzero1344 Ford built over 72,000 Mach 1s hardly any GT s . So it's a very good chance it's a real Mach. Starting 1970 MACH's had an 05 in the VIN. but in 69 02 in the third & forth letter on the vin Meant ( 2 door sports roof ) The trim # will tell you it's a Mach. The 5th digit in the vin tells you engine, So a BOSS 302 will ALWAYS be a G code car for 69 & 70..
@@robertstewart3086 The trim will not tell you mach 1.Any 69 mustang could have deluxe interior, its just you wouldn't have the mach 1 clock panel. The body code on the warranty plate is what tells it's a mach 1.Only mach 1s had 63C as there code. The 8in rear axle being restored in the video was a dead giveaway it was not a true Mach.
It appears that this was a 351W car, but the hood in the final shot was a shaker. Earlier in the video, it had a hood with scoop which was consistent with the 351W cars.
Actually for just a few bucks more than the GT ,You got The sports roof , hood scoop or shaker (428) ,blacked out hood, Racing stripes, Racing side Mirrors,Quad exhaust tips, Pop off Gas cap.Deluxe interior, Tall back bucket seats, Power steering ,and the 351 2v was the entry level motor..That would explain why Ford sold over 72,000 units and hardly ant GTs The Mach 1 has always been a step up from the Gt..Too bad Ford isn't smart enough to capitalize on the Mach 1Logo And offer a 50th anniversary model with a proper shaker hood for 2019...
It's the king of bondo. I would have just bought new body panels those were just to far gone. Could have saved himself tons of work by buying new body panels.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party and Gretas FFF movement gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now these green heroes want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions- and smoke crime :-( :-(
1969 and 70 were the best looking Mach 1's. Excellent restoration on that 69!
Lot new parts it cost little money & full ground up restoration???!!! Labor too ??!!! More like Have 40k to 80 k or more

1969 Mustang is my favorite Mustang by far. I own a couple Corvettes but still love the 69 Mustang.

@@imanutnur7 are those stripes needed or necessary i prefer it without them

Niiiiiiceee. With shaker hood. Of course. ❤
like New again nice
Beautiful I had a yellow 69 Mach 1 God I wish I had it back
Gulfstream Aqua. My first car, a 250 6 cyl - auto Sportsroof, was in this color. Ending almost brought me to tears.Sorry I ever sold mine.

I have a 69 Sportsroof 6 cylinder automatic that originally was gulfstream aqua.
Was that single stage for paint?
Woooaoo . Other music? Cingratulations bello auto
Dude, looks like an 8" rear axle that was restored and re-installed. All Mach 1s came with a 9" axle because the base engine was a 351 in 1969.
How do you know it’s a Mach one ? I’m trying to figure how do you tell if it’s a fastback boss or Mach 1

Had 4 69 MACH 1s. 3. 351 windsors 1 428 super cobra jet

I have a 69 Mach 1 390 4spd car. Unfortunately its been wrecked hard. Im hoping to be able to resurrect it some day...
Very nice work .....but why did our ears have to bleed ???
Sharp. Parents had a 69 Mach.
now dont drive the fucker in the rain
ill take it, $10,000 cash
Lol, you won't get a car like this for $10K. You better try round $30,000 to $50,000 range or more.
